I have purchased these jeans in department stores for many years but they have gotten very expensive. When I saw these at such a great price I purchased 2 pair, a week apart because I wanted to make sure they fit.
The first pair was the black and exactly like the blacks I have purchased in Belk, Kohl’s and Penny’s, they run a little smaller but since I have lost 42 pounds over the last 7 months I was ok if they were smaller so I would have something for when I get down to a smaller size. To my surprise, the black pair actually wasn’t that much smaller than my other 16W that I had purchased from
Belk and at Kohl’s in December, once I lose 5 more pounds they will fit great in the waist.
I decided to order another pair, this time in Portland Wash, a darker blue, these fit wonderfully. I will say I did order a 16W short and these are average but since I can sew, it won’t be a big deal to cut it down and sew it to be the correct length.
I just wish I could get a 14W for when I reach my next goal but I will go into a local store and try on the misses size to see what size I need to order from Amazon. Super fast delivery, even on the last one that indicated I wouldn’t receive it until 1/23-1/31, I actually received it in 3 days.
These jeans are perfect for a 72 year old woman to wear, very comfortable and flattering.

I was disappointed to find that my normal size was big enough to slip off without my help. They were also quite roomy in the hips and thighs, most likely for currier women, or those that have “saddlebags.” I ended up giving them away. They seemed to be good, sturdy jeans, but it seems like there should have been a word in the description about it leaving the hip & thigh are extra room.

Beautiful color. Great fabric. Pantleg is a little wide at hip thigh area. Length shorter than last purchase. Waist was way too big- took 2 darts in waist- each dart 3/4 inch.
Kept them because of low low price.

I have been a lover of the Gloria Vanderbilt Classic Amanda Jeans for a long time. I bout these because they are about $15.00 cheaper than at local department stores.
They are good, quality midweight denim, with a good amount of stretch that provides all day comfort when the jeans come from certain countries of origin. I love, love love the Scottsdale Wash pair, they fit and feel terrific.
Unfortunately, like most American companies these days, product fabrication is outsourced to several other countries for cheaper materials and labor. With this, comes a complete disregard for quality control.
I purchased both the Scottsdale Wash and Rinse Noir colors in the same size. Scottsdale Wash was made in Bangladesh, and Rinse Noir was made in Jordon. The Scottsdale Wash fit perfectly, the material was soft and smooth, mid weight denim, had the right amount of stretch over-all and the waistband was a little stretchy.
The Rinse Noir pair made in Jordon was a little heavier weight, very rough and course to the touch, had very little stretch over-all, and the waistband had absolutely no stretch, and the hips were cut about an inch smaller than the other pair (again, same listed size). Sadly, I am having to send the Rinse Noir pair back.
I wish I knew of a way to really get through to the company to let them know how inconsistent the sizes can be between the different countries (I’ve sent the suggestion to corporate before). I just wish there could be a standard that could be stuck to, so that each color stayed consistent in feel and fit so I could benefit from the lower price with Amazon.

These are very nice jeans! The denim material is substantial without being bulky. The jeans are well made. They are a high rise Jean, just what I wanted. The front pockets could be deeper but at least the jeans have pockets. The zipper is sturdy. The jeans fit my waist and hips well. I am a very curvy woman, and usually have trouble with jeans not fitting my waist. I’m also tall, and the jeans could be longer but these jeans do come to just below my ankle with a boot cut. The jeans are stretchy and comfortable. The jeans don’t get baggy at the end of the day. I will buy this style again, and recommend to my friends.

I’ve lost count on how many pairs of Amanda jeans I own. They can slightly vary in color since the material is different when you get into the colored pairs but for the most part they are all comfortable, have stretch, wash well and sit high to hold the stomach in well. I carry all my weight in my stomach and love these.

These are really nice pants but for the money they are truly awesome pants! 98% cotton with 2% stretch, very comfortable. They do not shrink when washed. Standard denim weight, good pockets, if still shallow.
I’m going to dye them because I have a particular shade I’m trying to match, but the white is a very cool wearable tone.

I AM THOROUGHLY DELIGHTED WITH THESE JEANS. THEY FIT TRUE TO SIZE AND THERE IS SOME STRETCH TO THEM. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I BOUGHT THIS BRAND, SO I WAS TENTATIVE. ONCE I PUT THEM ON I WAS HAPPY AND RELIEVED.
I HAVE EXAMINED ALL OF THE SEAMS AND THEY ARE TIGHT AND STRONG. THE ZIPPER FUNCTIONS PROPERLY, AND THE JEANS THEMSELVES ARE OF GOOD QUALITY. I BELIEVE THAT THEY WILL LAST FOR A LONG TIME BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS PUT TOGETHER WELL, AND THEY ARE NOT FLIMSY…THEY HAVE WEIGHT TO THEM. ADDITIONALLY, THEY LOOK GREAT ON. THE JEANS MATCH THE DESCRIPTION PERFECTLY, AND THEY WASH UP VERY WELL. NO SHRINKING AND NO FADING OF THE COLOR.
I WOULD RECOMMEND THESE JEANS HIGHLY BECAUSE WHEN YOU GET INTO PLUS SIZES, THE CLOTHES VARY A LOT. I’M HAPPY TO HAVE FOUND THESE FOR ALL THE REASONS I MENTIONED. I GIVE THEM 5 STARS AND RECOMMEND THESE JEANS FOR HOW WELL THEY FIT AND THE QUALITY.

I LOVE these GV Amanda jeans. I tried the first in 18W, as I like a very comfortable fit, but they really stretched, a lot within an hour of wearing, so I bought another in 16W. I am so happy I took the chance for the smaller size as I could barely keep the 18W up by the end of the day, even with a belt. The Amanda jeans are high quality fabric and sewing, and very soft, stretchy and forgiving as they mold to your body and loosen through the day. (I sit a lot on my job so I need sitting comfort and standing movement while yet neat looking). They actually are more amply cut in the thigh and calf than most who call themselves “relaxed” fit (though I could use even a bit more room as I prefer mine very loose…but then it looks baggy standing). My hour glass has shifted with sand towards the middle as I am now a matronly grandma, but these jeans look nice and trim on me. For those who like reference, I am 5ft 6in, 195-200, with measurements 44/39/44. They are even long enough for my long legs. What’s the best news, I bought 3 more 16W in several colors (Frisco and Calisto), and the consistency of sizing and sewing was EXCELLENT unlike so many manufacturers where a size can vary greatly between clothing samples. ALL FOUR arrived and fit perfectly the same out of the packaging. Highly recommend to any mature woman who wants a trim looking jean that offers movement and comfort too.

I loved these jeans. 🤩Felt amazing. I’d originally ordered an 18w first, waayyyy too big. Which surprised me because I have other jeans that are 20w & too tight. So I returned them & purchased 16w. Again, love love these jeans! They fit perfectly when first put on. That’s never happened to me, no matter what size I’ve been!
Was little concerned, though, button hole size just didn’t seem like I could get button thru no matter how hard I tried. But I do have a neurological issue that affects my hands. Visually didn’t look like it had a chance though. Was in a hurry so tried to slide them on w/o unbuttoning them. Like a glove. Worried me a bit but had to go, no time for belt. Since they fit perfectly, obviously all tags removed.
However, only 2-3 hours after putting them on- they were very stretched out. The event I was at had some walking, but mostly sitting. When we got up to leave, I basically had to hold up my pants the entire time leaving, & going home. As soon as I let go at home, they dropped right to the ground.
I’m amazed that small of a size (to me anyways) actually fit me- was so happy until I had to hold them up LOL the fact that they ended up so big, floored me, it took me awhile on here to attempt to order the next size, 14. I haven’t been a 14 or less in a couple years! I hope the 14’s fit & not too tight.
I’d hate to be between sizes on my newfound FAVORITE jeans finally- it been years since I’ve had a favorite- or even a “guess I’ll just have to wear them & deal with it” LOL been striking out on pants the past couple years.
Especially since my absolute favorite store, Dress Barn, closed. It all fit perfectly there.
The material of these jeans was perfect too- not too thin/thick, Fabric was not hard – very soft. Very comfortable to wear.
I was surprised at the length- I’m usually in between average & petite. Have to choose way too long or high waders. This length seemed to work very well for me – it was avg length,I’m 5’4.
4 stars due to the size issues (even though; hey-a boost to self esteem), so requiring return/ reorder hassles; button issue. I’d give 4.5 but can’t figure that out.
I have not washed yet to review that portion.

I was pleasantly surprised I hate jean shopping always have. I am 5 foot two and just had my second baby so around 255 pounds. I read the reviews saying they run big and so I sized down as I’m in between sizes right now I got the size 20 and it fits great. It did stretch a bit, but I wouldn’t say it was crazy as I’ve had some jeans in the past fall off me within two hours of wearing because they’re so stretchy but I would definitely recommend sizing down especially if you’re in between sizes. I got the short cut also and they are perfect on me at 5 foot two. I will not have to hum them. I’ve worn them out to dinner and they remain tight around the hips and the butt and loose in a good way at the thighs. I’m a girl that has always had tight stretchy jeans so this cuts a little different for me but I’m actually liking it. I would definitely order again even thinking about getting in a different color.

It’s not often I buy new jeans, and this was a good buy. They are comfy, and they don’t bind when I wear them. They give a little, which is always a good thing. All out a good buy!!

Great fit and very comfortable! These did seem to run a little larger than the stated size, however. Be conscious of this possibility when ordering. The fabric is dense, not sheer or thin like some jeans of this type. The pants feel durable and the elasticity of it ensures a flattering silhouette.

Now these jeans are really comfortable. The length is perfect. The fit is perfect. The zipper works just fine and doest snag and its not difficult to zip. I was looking for a “stonewashed” light color jean and these were perfect. I have washed them twice and they didnt shrink which surprised me. I will definitely be buying 1-2 more pairs. These are very comfortable & price is great!

These jeans were so comfortable that I actually forgot I was wearing jeans at one point! I’ve been wearing a size 22 for a while but felt like they were getting a little snug, so I sized up and got a 24. I have very wide hips and a very large backside and these accommodate those very nicely. I was even able to sit cross legged in them and wear them all day without discomfort. I probably could have slept in them! The pockets are real and deep enough for my phone so it isn’t popping out when I sit or something.. highly recommend

I’m very disappointed in these jeans. I’ve been purchasing the Amanda style for many years because they’re always a great fit. I’ve recently lost a lot of weight and these are way too big in the waist but I’m not able to return them because I’ve worn them. I had a buy a belt so that I’ll be able to wear them without worrying about them falling down. I’ll be ordering a smaller size in the future.

Good quality jeans. Seems to run a little large, can put into dryer to slightly shrink. Better to be just a little larger, than too tight! Like the high rise and tapered leg. No wrinkling, durable and breathable. Great looking jeans. Thick denim fabric. Quality.

Had to put in a review… I’m a very active (walking, gardening, riding horses, even shearing sheep!) plus size mother of three. Jeans have been awful for me to find!!! I was so excited when I put these on… the actually come up to my waist!! (My waist rose about three inches when I started having children.) I can wear a belt and it doesn’t bother me, no tightness or binding, and there’s real pockets! Nice lighter weight denim fabric. Actually comfortable jeans to wear.
