These black cowboy cut wranglers DO NOT fit the same as indigo wash. The construction is different. Tags were sewn in different places. Threads coming out of seams. I had to size down and they were still too big in all the wrong places. Do not recommend.
Cole –
These in 5/34 didn’t fit right. The butt and length and waist were good, perhaps a little big in the waist. But the crotch was too long and baggy, and just looked super wrong. So I’m returning for a 3/34 in hopes they fit better. I like the wash and durability.
I am 5’6, 135 pounds. My measurements are:
Smallest Waist Circumference: 28
Tummy Pooch: 32
Fullest Hips Circumference: 38

I’m not sure what is going on with Wrangler right now but I’m very disappointed with their women’s jeans. I have bought four pairs of Wrangler Women’s Cowboy Cut Slim Fit 14MWZ in black, antique wash, prewash and stonewash. The prewash and stonewash fit great but the black and antique wash were huge in the hips and thighs. I noticed that the two that fit had 14MWZ on both the inside label and outside tags. The two that didn’t fit correctly had 14MWZ on the outside tags but not on the inside label (they had some long number that didn’t correspond to anything I could find on the Wrangler website). So if you want other colors of jeans beside basic blue don’t buy Wrangler jeans.

These are great! I’m about 165ish lbs and 5”2″ I got the 11/30. They fit pretty good! Only tight in the belly a bit but lossen after wearing little bit, but very well made and comfortable everywhere else. I got the antique wash. They have a little stretch but they are a heavy jean. Overall I think worth it.

I’ve been looking at these jeans for about a year and a half without making the move to buy them by fear that they wouldn’t fit well! I finally decided to give it a go!
Many say that the sizing chart is bad and the jeans wayyyy to tights, but I don’t understand why! I’m 5’2, I weigh around 115lbs and my jean sizes are around 0 and 1. I took a size larger (3), because I was afraid they would be too tight, but not at all . I could have taken smaller and stayed with my usual size!
The material is great and I feel really comfortable!
Stick with your usual size and you should be fine!!

i didn’t find the sizing to be too far off. i purchased a 3, which is what i wear pretty much in all brands. they are a little tight against my baby fluff, but a 5 would fall off. very flattering cowgirl aesthetic! would and will buy again. well made jeans that will be good for barn chores.

I was a bit hesitant to buy these after seeing all the reviews on inconsistent sizing, but decided to give it a try because I wanted a pair of 100% cotton jeans. I recently made the switch from Levis to Wrangler as even the selvedge line from the former failed to impress me with the fit.
I examined the size chart and decided to go for a 11-32 to accommodate my hips. I can comfortably fit a hand into my waist, which means I’m more comfortable when sitting down. These fit my hips perfectly, which I love. I like having a slight stack over my shoes, i.e. having the hem touch the floor when I am barefoot in these, so opted for a 32-inch inseam and find they fit my 5’4 (165cm) height just the way I want them to.
These are 100% cotton, so they offer no stretch at all, but because of that I think they will be durable. As many have commented, the material is thick and thus feels very high quality. As long as you measure your body and buy according to the size chart, you will find that they fit true to size.

EDITED REVIEW***
Umm… I’m not quite sure what happened, but I decided to order these Cowboy Cut in Blue because the Black ones were perfect. These jeans are the exact same size, but the blue ones are HUGE. They don’t fit. Additionally I believe these were a return because they came with no tags and they feel like they’ve been washed. I’m disappointed. But my black jeans are still great.
So these are some TRUE 100% cotton Jeans. There is no give and zero stretch which is what I wanted. After looking at the size chart I decided to get a size 1×30. I am 5’4, 125lbs and wear a size 25 in Levis 501s. In my opinion these jeans fit and look similar. I am definitely glad I got the size 1 because the zero definitely would have been too small. I can’t wait to break these in and I’ll definitely be getting another pair in a different color

**I didn’t buy these to work in, I bought them just cause I liked the look of them. I have no idea how they will stand up to a long day’s work**
So, like everyone else has said they do run small. I’m talking, I’m-usually-a-3-and-I-own-7s-and-9s-in-these-jeans small. The only reason I said they fit as expected is that I knew they were going to run small, so I sized up to accommodate that. But, when the size is right, the fit is amazing. I ended up buying the white ones in a 9, unsure of what the sizing would be and with the intent of dying them a light beige or brown. When they came I ended up loving the white, gave them a cute little raw-hemmed crop, and dressed them up. They’re so comfortable but also sturdy; I have endometriosis and HATE having things too tight on my belly, and I approve of these pants. After the 9s came, I decided to order both the rinsed color and another white pair, both in 7s. I like the look of looser denim, and the 9s are so so comfy, but when I tried them on I knew the cut of these was going to be perfect for that mom-jean look. The 7s are so flattering on my butt! They feel like they were tailored to fit. I ended up bleaching the rinsed ones and dying the white ones beige. Just ordered another pair to dye black and I think my collection will be complete!! 11/10 recommend.
For size reference, I’m 5’9, 145 pounds, typically a 26 in Levi’s 501s.

The photo with the 2 lay flat jeans is a size 3 Bleach vs a size 5 Bleach and as you can see the colour varies a lot so something to be mindful of with that colour. I got a size 1 in all the other washes and sized up to a 3 in bleach and it’s still pretty tight fitting and hard to get on but does stretch to my body once I get it on. Got the 5 to try but it’s way too big so sticked with the 3.
My measurements:
Waist: 27”
Hips: 40”

It is so dang hard to find jeans these days that don’t have stretch in them. I’m so tired of jeans that stretch out and slide down your butt throughout the day, requiring you to wear a belt just to keep from showing your drawers. 🥴😂
Someone had suggested the cowboy cut and I absolutely LOVE these jeans. They feel like the jeans I grew up in and they fit my body in all the right places. Wrangler quality will last a long time. And they only get better with age. Considering how inexpensive these were in comparison to a lot of the other contemporary brands, I am tickled that I got them and I love them so much. The fit was great, the length is perfect and I will be buying more.
The one caution I will tell you is that I bought this same cowboy cut in the same size 11×32 but in the pre-wash color. And that was significantly smaller across the hips then this one. So sadly I had to return it for a larger size. So what people say about inconsistency with the size is accurate. But it still does not dampen my enthusiasm for this brand and now this fit.

Great Fit, Great Quality!
Wrangler jeans never disappoint! The fit is perfect — comfortable, flattering, and true to size. The denim feels strong and durable, but still soft enough to move around in all day. They hold their shape well after washing and have that timeless, rugged look that works for both casual days and tougher jobs. You can tell the quality is built to last, just like Wrangler’s reputation. These are definitely my go-to jeans now — stylish, sturdy, and worth every penny!

These jeans take me back! I grew up showing horses, and these seem like just the same quality as when I was young. The sizing chart is a NIGHTMARE, but I ended up going with the size 11, 31X32. Right now the length is pretty dang perfect, but the waist gaps a smidge. However, I’m planning to wash them with the intention of shrinking them, and I think they will be perfect. They have zero stretch (which is what I wanted), 100% cotton. Fabric feels durable. I bought this lighter color so I could dye them in the future, but it’s a nice bleach wash, so we’ll see. They fit very nice over my boots, and will be cute with other shoes as well! *I will update after I wash them!
My measurements: 5’6″ height, 36D, 33″ waist, 41″ hips, 170-175lbs normally a size M-L in tops and L-XL in bottoms

I ordered 25×30, Fit in the waist perfectly, I usually wear xs, size 0 or 25, I’m 5’8 110lbs, skinny and tall, it’s hard to find stuff that fits everywhere. These ain’t it, good for work jeans now, but the crotch is super puffy, probably because I don’t have any junk in my trunk so the issue is probably more me than the jeans. 30s are way too short, now I know. If you’re tall I’d go for 34/36 especially if you want a cute rolled cuff at the bottom. Good quality tho and I love wranglers. I usually wear a boys 16 slim but they’re so short for me so I tried women’s jeans. Just need a different fit I suppose

I was a little skeptical about buying these pants because I seen the reviews about sizing. I had no problem with sizing. I’m 5’5 and about 190-200lbs and a size 15/16 in other jeans so I decided to get a size 15×34 and I’m glad I did. The jeans were a little tight but I’m also bloated from aunt flow being in town lol. They hugged all my curves in the right way. They’re comfortable enough to dance in all night and they’re kinda stretchable overall the quality is good for the price. The length is perfect with boots! I’m happy with my purchase.

I am 5’2 and weigh 115lbs. The size 1-32 fits me perfectly, slim through the seat and hips and front and not too tight on the leg and doesn’t pinch at the waist. I like my jeans to bunch up a bit at the ankle, so that is why I ordered the 32 instead of the 30. Quality is just as good as Levi’s in my opinion and the patch on the back pocket is super cute. Pockets are very flattering to the seat. Will be trying other colors eventually.

The length is great! I am 5’9”, 160 with muscular lower body, a bit of post baby fluff, 29” waist & 41” hips. In most brands, I usually wear a 29L or a 8L. That said, I got these up my hips & the fit was tight but I knew immediately there was no way I was getting them zipped or buttoned. Zero stretch, as expected & they felt fine on my actual legs. They seem very well made but the sizing is challenging. I have a 7 & 9 coming to see if they fit any better.
Ky –
Sizing on these was really difficult. It took a few tries to figure it out so hopefully I can help someone.
After reading about how raw denim works, it is best to choose a size that is slightly tight along your body.Because as you wear them, it will conform to your body. And stretch about a half an inch. So keep that in mind when you are looking at the size chart. You may want to go smaller
I am 3 month postpartum looking for pants, leaving me somewhat squishy in the middle leaving me at a 31 waist and 42 hip. When I tried the size 11 to my measurements they where waaay too big.
I tried the 9, still not good. Left crotch saggy. So I decided to skip the seven and went to the 5. I like the fit in the legs and honestly I think I will get them to fit great after constant wears, just a lil tight in the waist but I think if I get them wet amd wear them around I can fix that.
I think the moral of the story is I woild size down 1 or even 2 sizes if you like your pants to fit tighter and not have a baggy crotch. This is coming from someone tall without alot of booty so If you are more curvy you may have a different experience but if u look like me size down.
In the end u really like them and I think they will last me a long time

I’ve got an hour glass shape usually take a carhartt 4 or 6 depending on the cut. Calculator on the wrangler website recommend size 7×30. I’d say fit is pretty spot on for town jeans almost loose over the thigh and nice shaped fit over the hips and actually a waist band that sits right for a change.
I’d recommend following the majority and size up two sizes if u are actually working outdoors in them though the thigh is pretty roomy then. I’m trying the stretch version next which the website calculator recommends in a 5×30

Many things need improvement. I don’t know what kind of sizing they use before stitching the jeans together but it’s all wrong. I’m usually a size 11. Someone ordered the wrangler cowboy cut slim fit bleach wash for me for Christmas in my usual size (11). They didn’t fit at all, wouldn’t even be pulled up above my hips. They exchanged them for a size 13 (again in the bleach wash) and they were snug in the waist but after washing, fit perfectly and comfortably and are so flattering. So I got excited and ordered the Prewash in a size 13. Considering they’re the same jeans, same style, same size, there shouldn’t have been any reason they wouldn’t fit, right? Well, they wouldn’t pull past my hips. So I opted to exchange for a 15 instead and had enough time between the exchange process that I was able to keep the size 13 to compare the two pairs with each other and with the 13 bleach washed ones that DO fit me. The 15’s pulled up past my hips but they won’t button at all in the waist. I’m so largely confused as to how a 13 in the bleach wash fits perfectly but sizing up to a 15 somehow still is too small in a different wash?! If I size up anymore, they’re not going to fit me anywhere else. I put them all side by side to measure and the 13 & 15 in the prewash have the exact same waist size meanwhile the 13 I have in the bleach wash that fits me, is a full inch bigger than both of prewashed sizes. 🙃 At this point I’m just really frustrated😂 I love the material of them and the look of them even if they don’t fit me so that’s why I’m giving 2 stars.

If you’re ordering the antique color or any of the jeans that are not 100% percent cotton, ORDER YOUR TRUE SIZE! Do not listen to all the reviews that say to size up 1-2 sizes. That just does not work because every body is different!
I usually buy curvy cut jeans because I have a small waist (26.5-27in) to hip ratio (37in) and my thighs are definitely on the curvier side. I should have ordered the size 1-30 and regret it but was scared off by all the confusing/bad reviews. Truly, the sizing seems super confusing and off and who knows how another pair would fit. But if you get a pair with span, just go with your regular size. I wish I could return but its such a pain as I live all the way in East Asia! Haha so I will just keep them.
Pros: the jeans are thick and seem very durable. The antique colorway is mostly cotton and the stretch is very light at just 2%. They are definitely firm and heavy duty. They are also heavy, I was surprised when I held them up. Perfect for fall through early spring. Definitely good for working outdoors and high functional jeans. They do have a worker pant feel, which makes sense since they’re cowboy cut jeans.
Cons: the fit is awkward and baggy in the crotch area… not something women want ha… it seems like there is too much material? Idk it feels heavy on and like there is two layers of jeans haha. When I sit down the hips look baggy?
Overall, I am keeping because of the returning hassle and because they’re pretty comfy. Im going to try and shrink them somehow or get the waist adjusted a bit… wish they sold 28″ length for short girls!!

I usually wear a boys 16 slim but they’re so short for me so I tried women’s jeans. Just need a different fit I suppose

These jeans are NOT the same jeans Wrangler used to make. The legs are SO wide. I usually order a size bigger, but in the slim fit version. The legs are definitely relaxed fit, while the waist fits like it should.

I have a big butt and thighs so it fits perfectly there but the waistband is a little baggy but I wear belts anyway. I prefer a loose fit with no stretch and that’s what these are. Pockets are functional and the cotton denim is tough and thick and I got em at a discount so great value all round.

Waist: 27”
Hips: 40”

Great Fit, Great Quality!
Wrangler jeans never disappoint! The fit is perfect — comfortable, flattering, and true to size. The denim feels strong and durable, but still soft enough to move around in all day. They hold their shape well after washing and have that timeless, rugged look that works for both casual days and tougher jobs. You can tell the quality is built to last, just like Wrangler’s reputation. These are definitely my go-to jeans now — stylish, sturdy, and worth every penny!

I bought two of them same size in but different inseams. I kept the size 7×34 because they fit better in the waist compared to the 7×36 I couldn’t even button them. I had bought a black pair in a 7×36 and they fit great.

Lost weight, need pants that fit so I ordered these. They fit me fine except they are tighter in the waist than I would like.. just be careful about that. They are comfortable

I don’t know why such low reviews! Girls if you’re a cowgirl, but still want a nice body shape? These are your jeans! I absolutely love these. I’m 5’5 154lbs(yes a little heavier than usual), but they look super nice on me. I’m a bit curvier, so my butt area really shows.

Love these jeans. Great for winter as the denim is a little heavier. Wish they had been offered in a shorter length as these were 4 inches too long even at the shortest length available. The rest of the sizing was accurate and they fit like a glove!

Said slim fit but too big for my small legs and thighs. Waist fit good. I am almost 5’7 and my legs are long. The 32 length was too long. I weigh about 164. Size 12’s are too tight in the waist. Loved the jeans but too big.
