This wallet is actually really nice. It’s built really well and seems super durable. I like the material it’s made out of and how it seems like it’s slightly warn without actually being warn. Nice and thin too. –
After years of trash wallets from Ross or Marshall’s from major brands I switched over to this wallet figured it would be the same quality for half the price. This wallet is so much nicer and better built than any of my previous wallets. The feel of the leather is great, it has the right amount of storage for my cards and doesn’t feel bulky. The first thing I noticed was the authentic leather smell and it reminded me of the real leather-working kits I would get in the ’70s by mail order. Excellent stitching, nice and snug card slots, and perfectly designed to be kept in your front pocket. I have lived around numerous tourist traps where a person learns the value of putting your wallet in your front pocket as pickpockets are looking for easy back pockets to pick (physically or digitally). The Wise Owl wallet is both a great full-time wallet and will serve you well to put in your front pocket on vacations. A+++ quality and with a neat logo too.

To replace my decades old wallet that was falling apart, I actually purchased several wallets of a similar style to decide which one to use going forward. This one was the lowest cost of the bunch by a fair margin, and ended up being my favorite in the end.
I like how subdued the branding is – just an embossed owl on the front and “WISE OWL” text on the back. The brand name itself is real words instead of a bunch of seemingly random characters the way many new foreign brands do.
I also like the divided cash pocket to separate large and small bills, and how the overall wallet size is perfectly suited for US currency without being too large. The leather has a warm almost cherry hue without being too bright.
I do have a few nitpicks on the design. not quality issues, just different preferences:
I would prefer the ID window to not have a thumb hole in the clear plastic (they tend to collect dirt over the years), or even to skip the plastic entirely.
The inside is embossed with “RFID” and “REAL LEATHER”. This is the kind of thing that should only be on the product information – not marring the otherwise clean look of the interior.
When filled with cards, the top of the wallet wants to splay open. It’s a little worse when the top-most card slots are in use because the thickness of the back card stacks with the slightly thicker leather trim on the top edges of the cash pocket and divider. I stuck two cards in the second-to-top card slots leaving the topmost one empty to mitigate this, but it’s still an issue and is common to all the wallets I tried that have horizontal (long edge) card slots. My old wallet that did not have this issue had card slots with short edge opening where cards would slide in and out from the center.
Overall, I am happy with this wallet and couldn’t find anything that I liked better at any price, even though this wallet was a bargain.

I bought this for my son who is a new driver and needed a wallet for his drivers license and credit cards. I love the distressed used look. It looks a little western which fits into his style. It feels nice and sturdy and thick, but yet still has the softness Like a smooth leather. The price was right on point as I didn’t want to spend a lot of money. Having Rfid protection was a plus. Everything else fits in it just right without making it too thick or uncomfortable in his pocket.

He is 17 and looses things so I didn’t to spend to much since this was replacing the wallet he just lost. Its a very good looking wallet however it had a very bad chemical smell when we took it out of the package. We set it out standing on its edge for a few days and the smell dissipated to a very low odor. I suggested we send it back but he liked it so he wanted to see if the smell went away. Its fine now but be aware of that smell. Other then that, it is a very good looking wallet, seems well made for the price and the leather is very soft.

I’ve been using it for half a year so far and the only signs of its age are some natural creases and polished areas in the leather. Fits all the bills and cards that I need without the extra space that just ends up collecting junk.

I really enjoy having and using this wallet. I am a thin wallet guy, when I opened the package, saw how simple and compact the design was while still fitting all my cards and bills I am pleased with my purchase. I like the real leather wallets I had one my grandpa had owned when I was a kid. They can last a really long time. The synthetic leather wallets always wear into fabric giving them a cheap look when they age. Leather takes on a vintage look, still real fun to have. The price was also reasonably lower then the synthetics and other leather wallets I see no corners cut on quality and the leather with finish I felt I received high dollar top quality product! I would recommend this wallet for yourself or as a gift there are many colors and two different finishes to chose from. 👍🏻

I don’t have any big issues with this wallet. The one problem I noticed is that one of my cards do not fit where the cards go. Still, there is plenty of room for it in other areas. Excellent quality and price. Sturdy and soft is a definite plus! A lot of space for dollar bills, cards, DL, and whatever other business cards you have. Haven’t had any security issues yet. Also, I like the fact that it has one of my favorite animals on it.
