It’s hard to make jeans for all body types, which is why I often go to an actual store to try things on. Despite having a very normal size of 34×34, I have well-developed thighs that require a relaxed fit. These jeans looked promising because they had the right dimensions and promised a loose fit. On that front they delivered, but there is something outright weird about the cut that makes them outright awkward to wear. There’s all of this extra material beneath the waistline that makes no sense – as though they were also being designed for a woman’s hips, maybe? Unfortunately something about the cut had my thighs continuously pulling down on the rear of the jeans, so I then had to hike the belt tighter to stop them from pulling down, which resulted in a continuous, tiring, struggle battling out between my thighs and waist that made me switch to sweatpants as soon as I got home.

I’ll say this – the fabric and stitching feel pretty good. After a couple of washes to get out the anti-fungal they’re shipping in, the denim is soft and supple. If you find that the fit can work for you, the jeans should hold up.

    Excellent fabric and fit

I am known what I am buying since the first pair was excellent. Jeans material is feels like the jeans are supposed to be from back in the day. Not exited about their shade and it’s yes and no what I expect. Otherwise looking at another pair of this brand. And one more thing they never on any discounts or sale probably this is meant that they are a quality product and there is no room for any kind of discount. You won’t be disappointed in quality and fit. Get them if they for your budget

My husband says these jeans are comfortable. The fabric is thin but it does have some stretch. The dark color is nice. They do fit a little baggy through the butt and legs on my husband. There are definitely nicer jeans out there but these work for work or everyday wear.

This is the first pair Flint & Tinder jeans I’ve owned and I’m kind of enamored with them. I ordered the dark wash straight leg in the same size I order in Levis. The fit is just perfect and construction is excellent quality. They were soft and comfortable right out of the package. I love the little bit of stretch they built into the fabric, and the pockets are nice and deep just like I like them. Granted, they’re a little pricier than a pair of Levis, but that flex business might be worth the extra cost, particularly if they hold up as well as my Levis do. I’m a pretty happy customer here.

My new favorite jeans! I am wearing them right now as I write this review. They look and feel amazing!

  7. D’Angelo Harris

Decent pair off stretch denim but not too stretchy. Good build construction other than one loose stitch on the exterior of the jeans. I wish the classic fit had maybe half an inch more in the though and half an inch less in the leg opening.

I like the fit and finish and the darker blue rinse.

I bought these jeans for my son, who is an athlete. They fit him really well with just the right amount of taper to not be skinny or straight legged. He wanted another pair in a different color as well.

I really wanted to like these jeans, and even ordered all 3 different cuts in an effort to make it happen, as I loved the material and the coloring of the “dark wash” in particular. The material is definitely heavier weight than other brands I own, and the hand was marvelous.

Unfortunately, I had several issues. One was a simple logistics mistake, in which I received the wrong color. (I didn’t have a means of telling if the jean was mislabeled or it was a warehouse error.) I also had a quality issue with one pair, in which the left front pocket was sewn very badly, with both the lining folded over near the top due to excess material, and with a similar fold in the main denim panel as the pocket was cut too narrow. (See attached picture.) The other 3 pairs I ordered didn’t have that problem, but it was fairly obvious and something I would have expected quality control to catch.

What had me finally give up was the fit, however. In a 30×30 size, the waist fit perfectly in all 3 cuts (straight, slim, athletic), but the hips all “flared” out in an unflattering way. The straight fit did this least, followed closely by the slim, with the athletic being especially noticeable. (To the point where “bowlegged” was the word that came to mind.). Perhaps washing would have mitigated the issue a bit, and I thought about it for the classic fit in particular, but in the end I decided the risk of still having the fit issue but no longer being able to return them was too high. All 3 pairs went back.

First pair of selvedge jeans. They are comfortable and fit well. I will certainly buy another pair. Highly recommended.

The fit is nothing like the pictures. Very baggie. $118 for a pair of jeans… and I’ve basically got a comfy pair of jeans to lounge in at home. Because the fit is on par with those 90’s jeans that were a trend for having over sized legs.
I usually wear Levi and wrangler but thought I’d treat myself to a “nice” pair of jeans. When they arrived the fit seemed off but, I assumed they’d shrink a little in the wash.
    I was wrong.
Now I’ve washed them and dont know if they can still be returned. I’ll try and see what Amazon says.
What I like: the material seems good and stitching etc all seem good… but really nothing better than my other jeans which cost less than half as much.
What i don’t like: fit, baggy (which is opposite of the pictures shown). Lighter material than expected.

These are the best pair of jeans I’ve purchased, both in fit and wash. If you’re a mild denim-head, someone who loves the idea of creating your own pair of unique, selvedge jeans over years of wear, but you just don’t have the dedication, these are your answer.

For the fit, there’s just enough stretch to make them feel worn in but not so much that it feels like you’re wearing your wife’s leggings. The slimness of the fit is just perfect for my body type, which is more on the slender side. They’ve got just the right amount of room to make sure they’re not skinny jeans.

Beyond the fit, somehow the waistline stays tight enough to hold up the pants through how much stretch it does have. I’m not sure how this is pulled off, because I have other jeans that fit similarly and the waistline simply doesn’t hold on tight enough so they slouch. These are the first pair of jeans that I’ve worn that don’t slouch. Anyhow, at this price point and this quality, I think Flint and Tinder are punching above their weight significantly. I plan to buy many more pairs of these jeans in the future.

Super soft yet rugged. Huge upgrade from a pair of Levi’s. These have a tailored look and because they’re not thin like Levi’s they won’t wrinkle, crease, or loose their shape. These are jeans you can wear multiple days in a row without them looking ragged.

  20. Amari

It has been hovering around 20 degrees and these surprisingly has kept me warm thus far. They are also comfortable, and while 1% spandex doesn’t make them as stretchy as I hoped, it still creates a certain leeway feeling in case you gain a little weight.

What I like about these jeans:

-they are comfortable with a bit of stretch
-the cut and fit quality is good they look like well made jeans. Their fits, colors and styles might be enough to justify the price

    What I don’t like:

-they are no longer made in the US
-they are cotton adulterated with elastane which makes them less durable
-they tend to stretch throughout the day
-slim fit is not very slim
    -they wrinkle significantly when washed

    comfortable
