I wear a 30 usually so I read the reviews saying it ran big so I & ordered both a 29 & 30. The 29 fit well but was a bit loose still so sent it back for a smaller size & went with a 28 & it fits perfectly with room still. Soft & comfy material & baggy not to mention they don’t show my butt which is a plus.

For reference I’m 5’4” 135ish lbs pear shape with short legs. These shorts run a little big. I first ordered the size 27 (my normal size) and they fit a little big and stretched out during the day. They were do-able, but I felt I needed to size down. I went down to a size 26 and they fit perfectly. When first putting them on they are a little snug but they stretch out. I’m normally a size 4/6. The 26 fits great even after stretching out during the day and after being washed. They are really good quality and very comfortable. Nice thick stretchy material on the dark wash. They hold up fantastic in the wash. The length is really good- not too short! I think the inseam is about 4” and the cuffs are sewn into place. I have short, big legs and these don’t ride up constantly. I don’t have to worry about them being too short when I bent over chasing after my toddler. I hate short shorts! These are the best shorts for everyday mom activities. I just ordered the light wash and I’m definitely ordering more pairs!
Update: I received the light wash and love them just as much as the dark wash! The sizing is the same on both. I now have 4 pairs of the dark wash 2 pair of the light wash because I wear these all the time. You can dress them down with a T-shirt and sneakers or slightly dress them up with a cute blouse and sandals.

When I first got these shorts I took them out of the bag and they looked like they were going to be WAY too small. I listened to the other reviewers and ordered two sizes down from my normal size 10, so I ordered the 29 instead of 31 like I normally would. (I’m 5’8, 153 lbs). Well, I tried them on & they fit me perfectly! BUT….they were WAY too short for this fifty-something chick, measuring at about a 4 inch inseam, NOT 4.5 like the description. Um. Yeah. No way. I just don’t feel comfortable wearing shorts that short. They come pre-cuffed and they are stitched at the side seams. Well, I pulled out my handy dandy seam ripper from my sewing kit and I very carefully cut the threads holding the fabric cuffed. Much to my delight, I found out that the hem is finished…stitched in white thread, a nice look, and they won’t fray. Not that I would have minded the frayed look, but I can do that myself and I already have several pairs of cut off jean shorts with a frayed hem. The best part is that by unrolling them it took the shorts down to 7 inches instead of 4 inches like they started out! Score! These are cute, comfortable, stylish, and the perfect length if you unroll the cuff.

I bought them in size 25, at current weight 114, about 5’3″ (give or take). They are not snug as label says they should fit. Loose on waist and thighs despite me having larger size legs from lots of mountain biking. Nevertheless at 67 years old, they probably look better and a nice length for shorter women since short women don’t look good in longer shorts. Could even cuff up one time and not be too short, but probably won’t. If I had been trying them on in a store, I probably would of went with a 24, but these are still a keeper for me and remind me of shorts from the past. I usually wash all jeans inside out in cold water and don’t dry them but may dry these just to see if they shrink a bit.

I’ve been looking for a pair of jean shorts for an embarrassingly long time. These are more than I really wanted to spend but the ratings don’t lie & they’re worth the price. They’re comfortable with just enough stretch but not so much they fall down after an hour. The rise is lower so I don’t have a big gap in the waist band & I can get them up over my big hips.
Don’t go by the recommended size. I weigh 150-155, have 34 inch waist & 39 inch hips. My recommend size was the 34 (size 14). I usually wear a 10/12 so I bought a 32 and they were huge! I returned those & these are a 30. I recommend sizing down & going by your hip measurement.

I would have given this a 5 star review because it’s super comfy and looks fabulous on. However, it came stinking of cigarette smoke…completely gross. Even after a thorough wash in the laundry, I could still smell the smoke faintly. If it weren’t such a pain to return and get another pair, I would do it because I’m grossed out with the smell. Come on, please do a better job with quality control!

I love Silver jeans and they have been complimentary to my derriere for 25 years, so I decided to buy these shorts, assuming a similar fit. I am petite (5’1″ 95lbs) and ordered a size 24, the same size I wear in all varieties of Silver jeans. The quality was excellent, as expected, but wowzwers, they were gigantic! Like 3-4 inches larger in the waste than anticipated and very wide-legged. I will be returning them. Such a BUMmer :/
