I own a lot of backpacks. I have both the traditional two strap packs, and the sling packs. I wanted a more traditional bookbag that had a comfortable strap. It also had to be manly looking. This bag is very durable. It seems to be made with a real good quality materials. It looks very cool. I have no doubt that it will last for years! It is a pricey item. I think that it is worth it for the quality.

I absolutely love this bag! It’s very large, but surprisingly not heavy to carry. There are so many pockets – but none are in the way if you don’t need them. The very best thing about this bag is the strap. It is wide, padded, and SO COMFORTABLE on your shoulder. Yes, one more hook would have been nice to shorten it a bit more, but I’ll figure something out – not a huge deal. The bottom on the bag does NOT have any structure – so I wouldn’t use it to carry a laptop or any like that, but to use for my ‘purse’, it’s perfect. No more additional shopping bags :-). I highly recommend this bag for anyone who loves the ‘slouch’ bag/purse. ** note: color is not ‘grey’ like some of the pictures; it’s more an army green

I love this bag for the most part. Other reviews have noted that the bag is “floppy”, which is true – it has no support structure – but this is one reason I actually like the bag – if it’s not full it conforms to your side very well when carrying it – something I can’t say about other messenger type bags that I own. You can fit a lot of stuff in this bag – also partially due to it being so easily conformable. It is very well made, and the strap is amazing – it’s well padded and really wide – sure, it’s not infinitely adjustable like some straps, but they honestly don’t ever need to be. Well thought out, and looks amazing.
The couple of gripes I have are the interior pockets – there are two open slip pockets on the front of the inside, but they are sewn too high on the interior liner to be of much use – not much you can fit in there, and what you can fit just falls out. On the back side of the interior is a small zipper pocket – also with a lot of the same issues – the pocket should go much further down the liner, allowing to actually use the pocket for anything larger than a slim wallet. The only other thing I would have loved to see added somewhere on the interior or even in the front exterior snap pocket would be a key clip. I worry about dropping my keys in and thinking they might fall out.
These are my only complaints, but they aren’t serious enough to me to keep this from being my favorite messenger style bag I’ve ever had. If they come out with a version 2.0 with a few slight changes, you can count me in!

Bought this bag 4 years ago as a tribute my Daschund dog named Nitro. I have used other crossbody and messenger bags but I always keep coming back to my Scruffy Dog. I used it to travel overseas, to stuff some documents, as laptop/iPad bag and as my hauling bag while riding my motorcycle. This bag has held up its promise. It’s durable, versatile, and stylish. I would buy another one but the one I have still looks good. Dust it off and it’s good to go. I highly recommend.😎🤙

As stated above, this bag is impressive with its mixture of canvas, leather details, pockets galore, and cool hardware. However, before I even loaded it up with purse contents, I noticed two (2) snaps that had fallen apart, right out of the bag. I was really disappointed.
But after contacting Amazon’s chat customer service and then after getting past the robot, I was connected to a great representative. He got in touch with Scruffy Dog and they agreed to send me a new one and ship back the damaged one free.
I received the replacement bag a few days later and I dropped off the other one at UPS yesterday. They were quick to fix the problem by sending me a new one that appears to be perfect. It must’ve just been a bag that slipped through QC somehow. So I still recommend this bag. It’s just cool. And the swap was all painless, quick, and I’m happy with the bag again!

I love this bag! I got it because I’m trying to change up my style and I was going on a trip where I was going to need a laptop bag for class. When I bought it, I didn’t pay attention to the dimensions and I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to get my 15.6 inch laptop in it, but I was able to get it by putting one side in the “rocking” the rest into the opening. I did that each time I needed to get my laptop in and out but it fit nicely and I wasn’t at all worried about it being in there too tight to get it out. I also love the amount and size of the pockets and the quality of the snaps. I was able to get the following to fit with no issues: laptop, notebook portfolio, textbook, pen pouch, laptop charger, phone charger in hard case, several things of meds, and some snacks. The strap adjustment was something I found interesting but it just works for this bag. All in all, it’s a great value for a quality bag and I highly recommend it!

I wanted to use this bag for a while before I added anything here… When I purchased this (6/7 months ago) I was immediately impressed with the craftsmanship and quality of the design, materials and robustness. So I waited as to not be visually biased, and have purchasers remorse. I’m here to tell you that it was worth every penny and more. The durability alone is great. Size? Fits all I need and more. I use it for work daily, and stuff it with a few small hand tools, hand towels, gloves, winter hat, extra clothes just on case… My lunch.. Few Water bottles. That’s just the main compartment. Inside it also has a small place for things like keys/wallet or whatever. Large front expanded pocket, 2 small but expandable side pockets, and a non expanding full size pocket in back. Nice thick and comfortable shoulder strap. On thing that’s amazing is the construction of off this bag… Heavy duty without the “heavy weight” nice heavy duty zipper, and flap over with snaps… OK, the snaps… Built to last and the best part is they incorporated a loop with the snap so it can be easily snapped closed with one hand/2 fingers. Put your finger behind the Loop and pop its closed. I am a rough guy, but I do take care of all my equipment. This seems to be holding up fantastic, I highly recommend this as a good go to bag.

But I had to come on and tell the world that this bag is without a doubt, the best ‘all things’ bag I’ve ever used/had.
Very well built, looks very cool and has enough room for all my day stuff as well as all the stuff my Scruffy Chihuahua needs for her day.
Yeah, it seems a little pricey but the extra effort that went into this bag makes it all worth it. I feel that this will be the last bag I need to buy for a long time (unless some A.H. steals it).
I think I especially appreciate the large, next-to-body exposed pocket that makes some important items easy and quick to reach when needed (nod, nod, wink, wink).
Shipping was fast, the bag is just as described, and the large “Scruffy Dog” logo on the flap is a real treat.
I think someone made a review and said that the logo is too big and gross or something. It’s exactly as was illustrated in the picture in the description. What’s the problem with assuming it will look like the picture?!?
Any way, I am very happy I bought this bag and I recommend it to anyone who has to carry their stuff around with them.

This is the best bag ever. The shoulder strap is so comfortable!!! The front snap pocket holds my sons pampers, the back snap pocket holds the wipes, the inside of the bag holds my stuff and the zip poket holds my pens and lip balms!!!! The bag can hold soooooo much. The snap pockets are my favorite feature!! This is the only bag where I can keep my sons items separate from my own. The side pockets fit my iPhone perfectly!!! This bag is great for a parent to keep their stuff and a diaper bag all in one!!! I’m 5’1” and the bag isn’t too big on my frame!! I get tons of compliments when I wear this bag. Everyone loves the distressed edges!! I look forward to seeing the durability of this bag over time. The quality is top tier!!!

I’ve had this bag for over a year and it’s still my favorite bag. This bag was worth every penny. Most messenger bags I’ve bought from Amazon came apart from daily use. UPDATE: The more I use this bad the more I love it! It’s perfect for all of my EDC {Every Day Carry) equipment. It goes everywhere I do and it’s holding up great as far as I can see. I get it lot of random compliments on it and have since bought a couple of hats. I would love to see Scruffy Dog Trading to come out with some really nice, heavy winter hoodies that are better than the average run of the mill hoody! I really like the new high quality t shirts and have one in my cart already. In addition to the heavy hoodies idea I thought it would be great to see a line on Scruffy Dog heavy warm flannel shirts with a square leather Scruffy Dog patch at the bottom of the buttons. I honestly can visualize Scruffy Dog coming out with a really nice line of better than average clothes.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing what else comes out from Scruffy Dog Trading Co over the next six to twelve months! i’m really enjoying their merchandise. I highly recommend them!
