My 10 yr old daughter loves overalls, so she was thrilled to get these. They are a nice thickness and not super thin denim. They feel well made and like they’ll last through the season, but my kids are rough on clothing, so no guarantees there.

Both of these from the same brand/vendor are the same size. “8-9” I would not recommend unless you have time to return the ones that are the wrong size.
