I’ve lost weight over the last year, but basically stayed the same at a 16 Tall, I thought. Recently, I realized the 16 Tall from another vendor, cheaper, but very inconsistent in quality, were a little baggy and loose in the waist. Not particularly attractive. I’ve tried to go down to a 14 Tall in the past with numerous other vendors and couldn’t even get one leg in one of them or couldn’t zip the zipper in another. Or worse yet, put the jeans on only to have the zipper give way out in public.
I decided to take the gamble and go with a “name” brand” from Amazon this time…and trusted their size measurement charts. In the past, even this hasn’t worked for me. The cost wasn’t that different, maybe a dollar or three to buy a “name” brand such as Lee. This time, I trusted the measurement charts and ordered a 14 Tall. based on the charts. I’m delighted to tell you that It has been the best jeans purchase I’ve made in years! Not only did the jeans fit super comfortably, the quality of the material and zipper is so much better than trying to go the cheaper route! I bought two pairs this time and plan to buy two/three more pairs as soon as I can.
Not all jeans from even the “name brands” fit all. You may not have the same experience I have. What works for my Tall lanky figure might not work for you, but my suggestion is try the “name brands” on Amazon.
Depending on your body type, maybe Lee isn’t the one for you. Do your research and READ THE REVIEWS!! That’s how I made my decision. Everyone deserves a jean that fits and the lesson I’ve learned is “GO WITH A NAME BRAND!”

Do not buy these jeans unless you like being disappointed! Don’t be like me. Believe the other reviewer(s) who said the legs above the knees are baggy. They’re REALLY baggy. I always buy Lee relaxed fit jeans–always a 14 Long–which these were. I thought perhaps the bagginess was an optical illusion because the bottom of the legs are tapered. It’s not an optical illusion. I compared the leg width to a pair of my other Lee jeans (which fit loosely) and these are several inches wider. When I asked my husband if they were as unflattering as I thought they were, he said, “They make you look dumpy. And you’re not dumpy.” They’re going back. I couldn’t even stand to keep them to wear around the house. The tags on the pair I ordered appeared to have had sticky labels (price labels) on them that had been pulled off, so they are probably retail store rejects. AND they had a very strong perfumed odor so I assume they were sprayed with something to make them smell better/cover an odor. Had I kept them, I’d probably have had to wash them 3 times (based on experience with thrift store finds) to get the unpleasant “pleasant” stench out. The only good feature about the jeans was that they do actually sit on the waistline. (The tag says mid rise. Somebody was really confused!) But I don’t think I would like the look of the elastic on the sides of the waistband if I were going to tuck in a blouse as the elasticized section is pretty obvious. On the positive side, the shipping was fast. The quick shipping and the high rise waist raise my rating from a -2 to 0. Unfortunately they don’t let you give 0 stars so I had to give it 1 star, which it does not deserve. (Note that I never write reviews. These jeans are so bad I had to.)

The jeans are too long for me – I would gladly shorten them and keep them except that they are a huge ordeal to button and unbutton. The button hole is not big enough to get the button in and out without a struggle.

I used to wear Lee jeans a lot in the 90s and I’m glad I found these. I have trouble finding jeans that fit cause I have a small waist and fuller hips so Jeans are usually very loose on the waist or very tight on the hips. These fit me perfectly though. I bought my usual size and length and I’d say they’re true to size. I’m going to buy another pair in black. I would not recommend this jeans for people with rectangular or apple figures though as they’re likely to be too tight on the waist and too loose on the legs but for me they’re perfect.

I loved everything about these jeans. They fit perfectly, they are so comfortable (even better after several washes), the length is great. I can’t say enough good things about these jeans. I have had such a hard time finding jeans that fit well, that is why I am so excited about these jeans. I am 65 years old and I like jeans to fit around my waist not on my hips. These jeans fit nicely around my waist. I am about 5 ft. 6 inches tall, and I weigh approx. 140 lbs. I ordered size 10 Long and they are perfect! They even have nice deep pockets in the front, no pockets in the back though. Which is ok. No back pockets is more flattering to the butt. I liked them so well, I ordered two pairs. They even have a section of elastic around the waist for added stretch and comfort. Nice tapered legs with a looser casual fit. Love, love, love these jeans!

Size ok, but the proportions were not as described. Size 14 mid rise. I was expecting a rise of around 12″ +/- like all my old jeans are, but these were a whole two inches higher rise so they came up way to high (more like a regular). They are roomy like other reviews say. I think they would have been perfect for by flabby thighs. (145 to 150 lbs, 5’6″)

Okay, first there are no back pockets on these jeans. That was a huge disappointment since they are extremely comfortable. Otherwise, 5 stars. These jeans have a high waist but with the elastic in the waist any “rolls” you might normally have with regular or low waist jeans are hidden. I am 5′ 7″ and 165 lbs. I carry a lot of my weight in the thigh area (saddle bags) and these are very comfortable there also. The lower legs are a little baggy for my taste but still, can’t beat the comfort. I purchased the black in 12 long. Could have gotten the 12 regular, but it’s nice to have a little extra in case they shrink. They give/stretch just enough without the knees bumping out after a day of wearing too. Don’t know if I would purchase again without back pockets. Maybe I can take an old pair of black jeans and make my own back pocket. What was Lee thinking making “jeans” without back pockets?

The tall length is perfect. The quality is very good. It’s so good to have a pair of jeans that aren’t ridiculously short. I bought Tall length Size 14. So pleased i didn’t buy Size 16. The waist is perfect with the side elastic.The hip & top of the legs are a very big fit. Iwaki a little surprised but they are a ‘relaxed fit’. I will about getting them taken in.

I bought Pepper Stone color. I reviewed the size chart and ordered a size 10 short. I am 5’5” 134-135 lbs. The jeans fit perfectly! With walking shoes the length is just right. With sandals I may need to roll the leg up an inch or so .. which I see many women do nowadays. In my younger years it was the “in thing” to roll your pant legs up. I turned the jeans inside out and reviewed all seams. I also looked at the zipper and button hole. All was good. I saw no holes or tears in the fabric. There is no staining. I washed as directed and all looks great. .. no shrinkage. I added a cup vinegar to the wash … it helps to set the color, softens, and get rid of the dye smell. I washed a very old towel with it to balance the load. I found a set of four Retro Skinny (elastic) Belts that go well with the jeans. .. bought just as an accessory for a dressier look. The jeans look great even without a belt. I have had several abdominal surgeries so I have to avoid tight waist clothing that does not give. So nice to have nice fitting jeans again that give a little stretch. I live in South Georgia USA and the thickness is good for here. My weight goes up sometimes for few months …. Life after surgeries .. I have ordered a 12 short for those times.

These are real mom jeans from the 80s. Haha. They have no back pockets and have elastic band around the waist, have wide leg room and fit perfectly my pear shaped body without gaping at the waist and being too tight on my thighs. Finally I am wearing jeans again after ditching them during the skinny leg low rise period. Those just did not fit my body at all. Although I did occasionally find a brand of jeans that still made old fashioned high rise wide leg type of jeans but were rare. I bough a size 4 but the algorithm for some reason recommended me 8. I used the measurements provided and 4 fits me perfectly. So I ordered another pair in black. These are not stretchy but they are old fashioned jean fabric stiff and thick. Also the blue is classical blue jean color. Good value for the money.

The black Lee jeans are comfortable. They are tighter at the waist and more loose in the thighs, and that is perfect for my shape! I have them in stone blue also, and the blue ones are REALLY tight and snug in the waist. The black ones are way more comfortable but are an inch or so longer than the stone blue. They are heavier material so will not wear them on hot summer days. They are slightly scratchy at the seams but I think it will improve with washing. Overall I like the black ones, but are made for smaller waists and I wear them with one turn up at the ankles until I wash & dry them to see if there is shrinkage. I may have to hem them after that or start a fashion trend with rolled up pants! 🙂

the jeans are lovely. and have nice colour. they feel special.they are better than what is in the photo! I am buying it to use it for my art classes which gets a bit messy. the legs are loose in a very nice way. the only thing is that it was very tight around waist. I ordered size 14 thinking that it would be loose and nice on me but it just fit on me! I was one small line on not being able to pull the zip up! of course now I am on the mission of loosing some weight!!!! great buy anyway.
