I was looking for a replacement for my 10+ year old pair of Levi’s 559 (low-rise relaxed leg, made in Mexico, 34×30) and found a suitable replacement in the modern 569 (made in Cambodia, also 34 x 30). The overall fit is pretty comparable after break-in period, slightly tighter in the hips and thighs but that is the style these days. Unfortunately if you loved the old 569 it is probably gone forever, although I suppose you could try buying a size up and then getting the waist taken in. The waist size does not appear to have changed much in the last decade – I wear the same size 34 in the old 559’s as the new 569’s.
I purchased the “Ice cap” style which as it turns out is Levi’s entry-level raw, unwashed denim. Not what I was looking for but it’s a pretty good looking pair of jeans which would go well with a dress shirt as well as a t-shirt. The material is a noticeably thinner than my old Mexican 559’s, and I don’t think that these will last 10-15 years as my last pair did. But for 35 bucks I think it is a decent buy and much cheaper than most other raw denim brands.

These Levi’s 569 jeans are PERFECT! I was wanting a new pair of baggy jeans, but not too baggy or oversized too. The shape of the Levi’s 569 is an exquisite mix of baggy/oversized. I ordered the ‘catch my drift’ color way and the color is a grey washed denim, which look SO SICK! The sizing is spot on, just like most Levi’s are. I wear a 36 inch waist, and I ordered the 36 inch. They fit so great! The denim is also somewhat flexible, and stretches plenty so you don’t feel restricted while wearing them. I have been skateboarding in them multiple times, and the pants are so comfortable and durable to the rigors I’ve put them through. Overall, I’d definitely recommend trying these out! These jeans are absolutely one of my favorites! The price is worth every penny! 10/10 rating!

You have a nice loose feel from waist down. They do fit true to size unlike some other Levi’s jeans. This model is really good for people wanting any open feeling in there legs or people with big quads since they provide lots of breathing room. I got the black wash fade and my did come a little bit more washed then I would like it but for the $41 deal I got it’s nothing to complain about.

Getting a bit older, and hence a bit fatter– as we will– I realized I needed a more roomy fit in my jeans. Looked at these #569 Levi’s. Bought them. The fit is exactly what I’d hoped it would be. Not exactly baggy, but looser than the #517 bootcut jeans I’ve worn all my life.
I like them, but I must always mention the loss of value and longevity in products these days. These Levi’s are quite thin. The denim is heavily “washed”– which the company realizes will drastically reduce the lifespan of the item.
And it began thinner, even before being processed. Denim was at one time a very thick and durable fabric. No more.
The ordinary retail price for these is nearly seventy dollars.
I might be old, and I admit that, but I get irritated by the constant cheapening of our clothing– to reduce its usable life and compel another purchase.

These Levi’s are great value for the money. The seam quality is good. These are the only kind of Levi’s My Husband will wear. They’re the most comfortable for him. These do not have the elastic waistband. They have the normal Levi’s waistband.
