These jeans fit like the proverbial glove in the waist / glute / thigh area, but I have genetically huge calf muscles (even without working them in the gym,) and the cut of these jeans is fairly tight from the knee downward. They’ll stretch with use of course, so I can still wear them, but if I were going to do a Rev B on these I’d take into account the fact that people who are gym rats will also work their calves. Which means a bit more circumferential span is needed there.
They don’t need much of a tweak – else you’d end up with lower legs that are relaxed-fit-baggy – but maybe another inch in total circumference at the calf. When I bend down for something and stand back up these ride up my calves and stick there, I’ve suddenly got the Pee-Wee Herman high-water style and have to pull them back down.
Not a big deal though. Again they *will* stretch, they are still an excellent fit, they’re inexpensive, they’re available in a solid, dark indigo dye. Call me strange but I’m not enthused at the idea of buying jeans that look like they’ve been pre-worn for six months by a garage mechanic with a serious incontinence problem. If there’s some kind of perceived stylishness in jeans that are visibly worn, buying them pre-stressed is as lame as buying a guitar with the paint pre-worn. Like “Oh, dig ME, I’ve used these so intensely that the paint is worn off. Except… umm, not really.” No. Just… no. Best of all these are available in 28″ length on 32″ waist, which eliminates a big peeve of mine vis-à-vis jeans:
Manufacturers sell pants based on waist vs. inseam measurements, and while the waist measurement is a definite thing, the inseam is not. Tailors typically measure your inseam from the point of direct contact with your groin down to your ankle. So think about it, or better yet just stand up right now and check this out: When you’re standing, whatever pants you’re wearing do *not* magically stay snugged right up to your Naughty Bits. Rather, the actual cross-seam where the inseam starts will generally hang at least an inch or two *below* the actual, physical surface of your body from which the inseam usually gets measured.
Which means – sur-vey SEZ? – the pants you buy with your tailor-measured inseam will be too long, and you’re going to be walking around on top of that last inch of cuff, cursing the fact with every step. Unless you go to the expense and hassle of having them altered after the fact. So… a selection of inseam dimensions that actually matches people’s true pant-leg length! Amazing! The only thing Amazon – and the whole of the garment industry – could do better is offer men’s jeans with those tailor-assumption-inseam options extending all the way down to 26″ or 27″. We’re not all bean-poles out here. I would argue that the vast majority of men, at least in N. America, are shorter than the garment industry weirdly assumes.
I’m writing this before having done a wash and with only a day’s wear, so I can’t comment on how durable the dye is. But at least it’s at an intense, deep blue as a starting point – and assuming the dye is of decent quality that’s the best you can ask for.
[Update 07-27-24: All of the above applies – still a good pair of jeans – but I’m not happy with how the dye is fading. There’s a serious fade on both the front and back of the thighs but nowhere else, so the result is that cheesy two-tone thing that screams “Dig these bargain jeans I got from K-Mart!” I probably won’t be buying more of these until (unless) I start seeing raves about how this problem – and the calf-size problem – have been corrected in a Rev. B.]

These jeans held up nicely. I was a little concerned at first because of other reviews but for the price I thought why not. I work two full time jobs, one of them being in a factory. I usually wear one set of jeans for a week and then wash but I decided to wash and wear these. I haven’t had any issues with the fabric breaking down, they feel great and have a nice amount of stretch when I need to bend or climb. Would definitely recommend.

I would buy these again, as the title says they are a good fit and decent construction and fabric. Better than some lower end Levi’s but not quite as good as the higher end Levi’s. I would put them somewhere in between.

I have always been a loyal Levi Strauss blue jean guy… but they changed the fabric a few years ago to cheaper stuff making blow outs in the crotch area happen… especially at the worst possible time. Plus they are quite pricey!
So I decided to give these jeans a try. They are a bargain at $20 a pair & look identical to Levi cept missing the trademark label on back belt line. I just got them so not sure yet on durability but I can buy 3 pair for the price of 1 Levi.
Its a no brainer…. And I am quite happy

Work has been very late on our order of new uniforms so I had to get creative and get my own pair of pants as my other ones were worn out due to constant movement around the building.
I didn’t trust Amazon Essentials at first but putting these jeans on, it feels nice and the fabric doesn’t feel cheap at all! I haven’t wore them often just yet but testing them out for 1 day was enough to make a review.
It feels quite durable for the price and I don’t feel like ripping between the seams if I managed to spread out my legs too far or something.

I would definitely recommend this product, especially the dark-washed black jeans made in Bangladesh. The fabric quality is superb — dense, durable, and feels premium, similar to what you’d find in top international brands.
I also purchased the light blue vintage pair, which is made in India. The quality is decent, but not as impressive as the Bangladeshi one. The major difference I noticed is in the GSM — the Bangladeshi fabric feels denser and heavier, while the Indian one is a bit lighter.
Overall, the Bangladeshi dark wash stands out in both texture and quality!

Jeans fit great and true to size. Good fabric and very durable. Even if left in the dryer too long they don’t wrinkle much. Just enough give in the waste to be helpful bending over or having to change a tire on the side of the road. Had to kneel in the dirt and sit in wet grass, no stains and no tears from the gravel. Will be purchasing more of these in the future.

I bought a pair of these jeans, liked them really well, so I bought four more. Now three months later I’m really disappointed. One pair just split out for no reason after being worn maybe 10 times at most. ( see photos). I will update if the others do likewise.

Excellent product, fit is perfect, diminsions are as advertised, well worth the money. CAUTION: BE SURE YOU REMOVE TAGS AND WASH JEANS BEFORE WEAR, they will initially bleed when wet, as in rain. Once washed no futher issue. On the fashion side, either trim the tags or be sure they are tucked in as they are extremely long and can showabove belt line.

Granted, the legs are baggier than I expected, crotch is lower than I expected, making me look shorter than I actually am. I look like a d*mn Munchkin from the Lollipop Guild! All I need is a tank of helium to suck on so I could dance & sing the Lollipop Guild song.
I probably should have gotten the 40×32 waist size instead of the 42×32, but I’ll still make it work. Being older, my metabolism has slowed down. Combined with my roommate’s delicious cooking that has put a little weight on me over the years, I’d rather have a little extra room than not enough. Better safe than sorry. This tall munchkin will grow into them.
They still fit well, they’re comfortable & I’m able to walk around in them just fine, so no complaints here. Definitely worth the price.

This is the first review I have ever written after hundreds of Amazon purchases. Why write one now? Because these are perfect jeans for me. I can get them in 28” length. I don’t need to waste extra money to shorten them. Great amount of stretch. Waist band is stretchy without being heavy like Lee’s and others. The denim has a nice soft feel. Unusual for denim. Love the athletic fit that sits at the waist but tapers. To get jeans that are not wide at the leg opening in the past I have bought slim tapered jeans of various brands but they are ALL below the waist and constantly ride down, very frustrating! These stay put. I even wear them frequently without a belt! Super comfortable without being baggy. Before getting these, out of frustration, I bought a super pricey pair of jeans from Nordstroms for $150!!! Those are not as comfortable and now I feel like a total dope. Lesson learned. Ignore the bad reviews. Do not ever overpay! Buy these, look good, feel good and smile all the way to the bank. P.S. they wash up just fine with no noticeable shrinkage.

These are a good qualityjean but I had to return them because the thighs were not wide enough for my son. While they are an athletic fit with a wider leg, the leg is not as wide as some other athletic fit jeans

They fit and look great but the blue dye is a problem. I’ve washed the jeans twice and the dye is still coming out. I don’t know when the dye will come down to a normal level but I don’t want my furniture to turn blue. I won’t buy them again.

These jeans fit well, are nicely stretchy and comfortable. I like everything about them, but for one problem: belt loops. There is only one belt loop in the back half of the pants, in the middle. That’s just not enough. Two loops, spaced about 4 inches from the middle, would be a whole lot better.

A fan of Levi’s 531 for athletic fit with tapered leg but they have been discontinued. Ran into these and said, let’s give them a shot. Received overnight – EXCELLENT, color – EXCELLENT, nice Indio color, athletic fit – EXCELLENT, fit perfectly on the wait, tapered leg – FAIL. These are unfortunately not tapered at all. I would label the leg as more of a “straight” through the leg. In my return, I asked them to update the listing for folks like me looking for a thinner tapered leg jean with athletic fit in the waist and thighs.

I’ve been wearing Bitton jeans for over ten years now because they look good and they fit well. If you have thick thighs like yo boi here, they will wear out in the crotch after a couple years or less depending how often you wash and wear them. That is expected with any jeans though.
Three things I like the most:
1) they’re damn stylish without ring that lame torn jean look or anything like that. More stylish than typical blu jeans. Not so stylish they’re not functional.
2). They fit perfectly.
3) The quality of cotton is great. Brushed and comfortable.
