Pretty heavy duty good quality for the price, buttons are a little noisy/jingly (if that’s something thay would bother you), and definitely size up. While chest width is pretty accurate, most plus size people have a bigger belly and/or hips than their chest so better to follow chest measurments based on the widest part on your body the vest will cover. Luckily I plan to wear it open, so I don’t need it to close over my stomach.
Roseanne –
Very good quality, sizing was true / accurate. Very big inside pockets. Good looking grey vest with clean finished armholes.

Good fit, the denim is not super thick/heavy. Was looking for something for extra patches that won’t fit on my jacket. Should be pretty comfortable until summer in the south. Pockets were stitched closed from the factory, so don’t forget to open them. large size was a good choice for 5’7″ at 175.

A jacket you can wear everywhere, it’s classic, timeless, and comfortable.

Great material and it fits perfectly! I am 6’2” and 225lbs, I put the XXL on and it fits great! Brings me back to my troublemaker teen days lol!

this is indeed the cheap battle vest you are looking for…look no further…mine fits true to size i’d say…i’m 6’2″ 185lbs and i went with Large because i wanted a snug-ish fit,and it is perfect, especially after washing and drying after i received it…it fit right out of the box but i think the wash tightened it up just a smidge, which is what i hoped for…it’s not super thin and it’s not super heavy either, so it should be good for any weather and hold up to the most brutal of mosh pits…mine came with a paisley design sewn in the inside and not the American flag design shown in the pix, which is fine either way…the main pockets on the side were sewn shut for some reason so i yanked those threads out and now i’ve got pockets for my hands…interior pockets too,and chest pockets…so if you’re looking for a solid cheap battle vest, i do think this is the one you’ll like…i’m writing this review specifically for the folks looking to make a battle vest or bikers looking for a cut for your club patches…it fits the bill…party on
edit: just a note, the sewing machine i bought to sew these patches on is the Brother Sewing Machine XM2701…it runs through the denim and the patches no sweat.

Ordered this and the size was far too large. It is US size. The color and fabric weight were as displayed. It looked great. So I returned it and ordered a smaller one. What came was something that looked like it was made from thin cloth and not denim. The color was not dark blue, but some weird blue you would see on mom jeans from the 1980s. Sent it back thinking it was an error. The next one came was again not as displayed. Horrible cheap fabric an equally god awful puke blue color. Back to Amazon it goes. Don’t waste your time with this vest.

Wear 30/30 levi’s and this vest in medium is perfect with room for sweatshirt or sweater. Vest slash pockets are fully lined but do have some stitching you need to remove to use them. 2 large interior pockets as well. Well made and if I did not know better I would think it was levi or wrangler.

I typically do not not like buying jackets without trying them on first but I didn’t like my options in store. Normally I have a Levy’s battle jacket I prefer, but wanted an option for outdoor concerts and events we had scheduled this year. I’ve never even owned a vest but I also had a surplus of band patches with no more room on my jacket. The vest itself is well made and fits as described. The buttons all function well and are working as you’d expect.
I did buy a vest from a different brand at the same time to compare and the buttons were terrible and immediately sent it back.
All of these patches are sewn on and the material held up just fine. The inside has massive extra storage because the pocket liner covers the whole bottom side of the vest. Although I understand people don’t love using the backside of the pocket liner as extra storage.

Very nice vest. Plenty of pockets plus 2 for your hands. Soft denim, light weight, has the western look that goes well with my blue jeans. Price is good compared to other name brands. Buttons are brown not silver which looks better. I wear a 3X shirt but I order a 4X vest (Amazon recommended 3X vest) cause most vest are snug and it fits great.
Jay Tee –
I wear a 2x or 3x (5’8″, 278 lbs., 48″ waist). I ordered a 5x based on other reviews having already returned a 3x that was definitely too tight. The 5x is a good fit but it pulls a little at the belly buttons when I sit. I knew it was unused as the side pockets were partially sewn shut as occurs with high end sport coats; an easy fix with scissors.

Very good vest

As others have noted, these do run small.
As I concealed carry and normally wear XXL to do so, I went up 2 sizes & purchased the vest in 4xl which fits perfectly, allowing me to carry without the vest being to big or to small.
The quality appears excellent & the vest is exactly what I was looking for.

Same sizing as prijouhe. Infact it’s the same jacket. Just two companies selling it. 36 in chest usually wears medium. I tried the small and it was also very large

Has potential with all those pockets, they’re just not practical enough, the way they are sewn or lack of sewing. But definately has potential.

Nice looking vest, but the button holes are Very tight & the buttons are somehow very loud and jingley/jingling. Figured he could just wear it open, so the tight button holes weren’t a deal breaker. BUT just can’t get past all the noise the buttons make when moving. I will try and attach a video and hopefully you can hear the sounds… PS… just an fyi– it runs a bit small.

I ended up with a small, thinking the usual overseas go bigger a bit (i’m a small frame guy too anyway) and the large was a circus tent. Ok so not that big but was way bigger than expected. Took a year and a day to get here so I opted to pay loot to return it and order the small. Small works, but even so it’s a tad long in the center but workable.
was really hard to find a indigo vest with side pockets. why would you make a vest with no side pockets. Anyway, this one has them though they are sewn shut in the middle. prepare your seam ripper. If you don’t have one you suck. They’re insanely sharp. I think they split atoms when they move through the air, plus they come with a nice little case.
inside pockets and breast pockets too.
one thing i did notice is the buttons and button holes are not exactly uh .. user friendly. Mad hard to get the button through. hopefully some abuse will loosen this up overall. I’ve washed it 5 times now. i don’t want to ‘distress” it per se but I don’t want a bought it ten minutes ago and went home and sewed patches on it, becasue yea it’s gonna be a doom metal vest, I have all sorts of patches I got for it. Maiden, Ratt, Electric Wizard, Priest, some Goetia sygils, tons of ancient Egyptian stuff simply because ancient Egypt is metal. A bad-ass red goat head too, love that thing. Oh and a Cthulhu.
So yea overall I’m happy with this, at least enough to sew and iron on a bunch of stuff to it.

If you wear a 3x buy the 5x I wear a 5x it doesn’t fit so I gave it to another person who usually wears a 3x fits great!
