Don’t normally bother to review, unless the product sucks. Due to Covid epidemic, been a while since I actually put on a pair of slacks. These are quite possibly the best pants I have ever worn. Plenty of crouch space, even when sitting, great feel, look awesome with a pair of boots, sneakers or even work shoes. Right front pocket has 2 hidden pockets for a metro card, loose change and keys. Pockets deep enough for long or larger phones. What’s not to like. Made in Vietnam, which I noticed is better quality than Chinese made. Out of stock at the time of this review, hope they bring them back. Don’t believe me? Look at all my other reviews which are mostly negative of purchased products in the past. My model is ” No News Is Good News”, but for these felt the need to compliment.

I am 5 ft 5 and I ordered 30W,30L. The best thing that sets these pants apart from any other chinos I ever bought are the horizontal front pockets. I couldn’t find pants with these pockets. Not even stores sell them unless you’re looking for jeans. Most brands now sell pants with vertical pockets or slanted pockets as shown in the other picture (green pants by Goodfellow) and they are horrible because not only are they shallow; your pens, keys, or sanitizer, etc would fall out when you sit down- if this ever happened to anybody especially in the car as I drive, they fall right off and go under the car seat so I am tempted to bend and reach down while driving- very inconvenient, useless, and UNSAFE pockets. A cause for distraction. But with these pants, my keys and such NEVER fell out. I love how these pants even have mini pockets to compartmentalize my items. The fabric is also thick compared to store brands like Goodfellow so it feels more sturdy and solid instead of limp. The legs are also streamlined perfectly for a slim straight- not obscenely tight at all- just perfect. I will definitely buy other colors from this brand again. The only suggestion I have would be an additional concealed, zippered, vertical pockets at least on one side of the pants as shown on the green pants by Goodfellow in the other picture. Other than that, these are the best pants among the ones I ever bought- both style AND function. The others in the market were just style with NOTHING else, NO substance/function whatsoever. I am really happy with my purchase.

These are great pants. This is my second pair of Amazon brand pants and I was skeptical but they’re really good. I’m 6’3″ and 165lb, I usually wear 31×34 which is what I ordered. The waist is right and the length is good, and the color is really good too. The stitching is also good. You can tell it’s not a $100 pair from Prana or Arc’teryx which I usually wear, but the quality is totally fine. I did find the fit too tight for me though and will be returning them to try the athletic cut and the straight cut, I think one of those will be better. Not a flaw of the pant though so I didn’t take a star off for that. I’ll be buying more once I find the right cut!

I like these pants… but it’s important to note that they are not identical to the Goodthreads brand. These are a little less dressy because of the jeans pockets where the Goodthreads had dress slack pockets. Goodthreads have a two-button closure where the Essentials only have one button and they are textured fabric as well, kind of like a really dressy pair of jeans. The fit and comfort is great… I’m 6’5″ and 205 lbs wearing 36×36 because I have long legs. The waist is a little roomy and has some stretch and the leg length is perfect. I can wear these daily as casual dress pants.

These are pretty good, 5 pocket chinos. They feel very similar to some other Amazon chinos I have but come in the 5 pocket design. I wish they had a little more stretch though. The fit is slim and flattering. Fabric ends up a little wrinkled from dryer and I’ve also noticed these Amazon fabrics sometimes develop “lines” of wear even when I wash them inside out. But for this very low price I am not expecting perfection

I’ve been buying Goodthreads shirts for awhile now; I love them because they fit me, (A shorter, yet more muscular guy) perfectly. Not too long to be casual, not too short for formal. Also extremely durable fabric, suitable for wet and cold, or hot and dry both. So I decided to give these a shot. Typically, I wear Levis 511, and was looking for a jean-ish type alternative to wear to the office. The Levis fit me kind of tight. They’re made for skinnier guys, and I have muscular legs. This fits absolutely perfect, not too tight, not too baggy. The fabric is insanely soft, so the pants are super comfortable; But not only that, you can dress these up or dress them down. And the price to quality beats almost everything else out there.
**1 Year Update** After one year, these pants are holding up better than ever. The black pants fade incredibly well, and look awesome, and I feel that they just get comfier as you keep washing them. I rarely wear jeans anymore. The pants have also held up really well to some heavy renovation work, so if you get bleach on a pair like I did, you have some really good work pants. I’m surprised at how durable these are. You’ll get your money’s worth out of these.

Five stars! I’m 6’0 tall, 235 lbs, 42-29 (thick and muscular with large thighs) , and these pants fit me like they were tailored for my body. The material is a medium-light weight, straight cut, very soft cotton chino, with enough stretch to feel like comfort waist pants. Great year-round material for hot Summer or cool Winter (I don’t like heavy pants; thick jeans are even too heavy for me). I can wear these pants with or without a belt and they don’t fall down, but they still feel comfortable. The pockets are just like 5-pocket jeans, and the front pockets are deep enough for my Galaxy A35 (tall wide phone) to disappear completely. The pants are nice enough to wear as business casual with a sport coat and dress shoes, and they also look great with a T-shirt and boots. Honestly, I took a chance and found my perfect pants. It feels good when that happens!

First of all, they fit great. The legs are long enough and they passed the real test. They still fit beautifully after washing and tossing them in the dryer. They came out with a soft washed look. Not wrinkles, but you would need to iron them if you want the ultra crisp look. The cotton fabric makes them really comfortable, and the little bit of stretch makes bending, sitting, and twisting much easier.
Then there’s the fact that they look great. They fitt well in the waist and butt, and the legs are a straight cut, but not skinny. They’re versatile enough for the office, great for traveling, and comfortable to wear just running errands. He says they’re as comfortable as a pair of broken in jeans, but have a slightly dressier vibe. Add in the fact they’re reasonably priced, we’re hoping they get the other colors in stock soon.

These pants are made of nice material with just enough stretch to be comfortable, but not too loose after a day of wear. I’m 6’5″ 215 and the 34w 36l fit as they should. My recommendation to Amazon is to make these with 7 belt loops instead of 5.

I’ve owned several pairs of these, but this is the first one where I’ve had a color issue. After 3-4 washes, I noticed the olive green has started to fade in a very weird way. It’s not consistent, but in the thigh only, and it’s even across both legs. At first I thought it may be me . my washing machine, but this has not happened on 2 other pair I bought a the exact same time. I do love these pants, but bummed about this one.

I was a little skeptical of getting good value, I usually stick to brands I have some experience with, but was having difficulty matching my size/color so stepped out to try these. It helped they were half the price of what I had been looking at. The 33×36 were an excellent fit. I’d been getting mixed results with 36 Length lately, but my these were perfect on my tall/slim build. The material felt soft and I wasn’t sure if I’d like the feel, but it was great. The quality appears very good and they looked great at church! I’m going to try another pair in another color for an upcoming trip.

These are good, comfortable pants, and the fit is accurate to size — not too big or too small. The fabric has some stretch, making them easy to wear for daily use or work.
It’s also worth highlighting that these are one of the few chino pants available for tall people. I wear a 34×36 inseam, and these are among the few options on Amazon with that length, which is a big plus.
However, in my experience, they don’t hold up well beyond 3 washes and start showing wear in the fabric. It’s also recommended to keep a lint roller nearby, as they tend to attract lint.
Overall: very comfortable, true to size, great for tall people, but with limited durability.

These slacks are great! My husband is hard to fit, thanks to being 6’3″ with a 36 inch inseam. We tried multiple pairs of pants and these were the clear inner.
First of all, they fit great. The legs are long enough and they passed the real test. They still fit beautifully after washing and tossing them in the dryer. They came out with a soft washed look. Not wrinkles, but you would need to iron them if you want the ultra crisp look. The cotton fabric makes them really comfortable, and the little bit of stretch makes bending, sitting, and twisting much easier.
Then there’s the fact that they look great. They fitt well in the waist and butt, and the legs are a straight cut, but not skinny. They’re versatile enough for the office, great for traveling, and comfortable to wear just running errands. He says they’re as comfortable as a pair of broken in jeans, but have a slightly dressier vibe. Add in the fact they’re reasonably priced, we’re hoping they get the other colors in stock soon.

Overall decent fit but attracts a ton of lint. The other colors don’t seem to have as much of a problem but the black almost has a velvety feel that you will need a lint roller after washing. Overall fit is as described. They have enough room in the leg for a muscular frame.they are mid weight and are good for casual office attire. They have some give so you can easily squat down without fear of busting any seams. Material quality is good for the price.

I’ve owned several pairs of these, but this is the first one where I’ve had a color issue. After 3-4 washes, I noticed the olive green has started to fade in a very weird way. It’s not consistent, but in the thigh only, and it’s even across both legs. At first I thought it may be me . my washing machine, but this has not happened on 2 other pair I bought a the exact same time. I do love these pants, but bummed about this one.

I was a little skeptical of getting good value, I usually stick to brands I have some experience with, but was having difficulty matching my size/color so stepped out to try these. It helped they were half the price of what I had been looking at. The 33×36 were an excellent fit. I’d been getting mixed results with 36 Length lately, but my these were perfect on my tall/slim build. The material felt soft and I wasn’t sure if I’d like the feel, but it was great. The quality appears very good and they looked great at church! I’m going to try another pair in another color for an upcoming trip.

Five stars! I’m 6’0 tall, 235 lbs, 42-29 (thick and muscular with large thighs) , and these pants fit me like they were tailored for my body. The material is a medium-light weight, straight cut, very soft cotton chino, with enough stretch to feel like comfort waist pants. Great year-round material for hot Summer or cool Winter (I don’t like heavy pants; thick jeans are even too heavy for me). I can wear these pants with or without a belt and they don’t fall down, but they still feel comfortable. The pockets are just like 5-pocket jeans, and the front pockets are deep enough for my Galaxy A35 (tall wide phone) to disappear completely. The pants are nice enough to wear as business casual with a sport coat and dress shoes, and they also look great with a T-shirt and boots. Honestly, I took a chance and found my perfect pants. It feels good when that happens!

These pants fit great, wear well and offer a good amount of stretch/comfort. I wear these daily at a blue collar job and they’ve held up astoundingly well, while being super comfortable at the same time. Hands down the best $30 pants you’ll ever find and I hope Amazon continues to carry these. 6’ 180lbs and the 33×33 fits great in most colors

These are good, comfortable pants, and the fit is accurate to size — not too big or too small. The fabric has some stretch, making them easy to wear for daily use or work.
It’s also worth highlighting that these are one of the few chino pants available for tall people. I wear a 34×36 inseam, and these are among the few options on Amazon with that length, which is a big plus.
However, in my experience, they don’t hold up well beyond 3 washes and start showing wear in the fabric. It’s also recommended to keep a lint roller nearby, as they tend to attract lint.
Overall: very comfortable, true to size, great for tall people, but with limited durability.
