Confession: I didn’t order this men’s denim jacket for a guy … I ordered it for a gal – me. Why, you ask? Women’s clothing is often priced much higher than men’s for a similar type of item (think sweatshirts, t-shirts, or denim jackets), and often the designs are frillier and trendier than they are classic. Also, some women’s clothing just isn’t as sturdy as the same item made for men, since clothiers often believe that women will quickly change out their wardrobe when something goes out of style. For all those reasons – and many more – this jacket was ordered for me.
This TNS denim jacket has a classic design that’s been in style for decades, and will likely stay in vogue for decades to come. While it may look distressed, it’s definitely not thin or flimsy. It’s made of sturdy, heavy-duty denim cotton with quality stitching along all seams. There’s no glaring logo or in-your-face branding, either – just the subtle “T 1976 Tennis Denim” imprint on each of the buttons.
There was a bit of mustiness when I first took the jacket out of the packaging, but that quickly dissipated after it was hung to air out a bit. The sleeves are a bit long, so I’ll need to fold them up into a cuff, but that’s just a minor inconvenience. Otherwise, the men’s small is a good fit for me – and I really like this cool jacket. It takes me back to the days of my youth when I used to swipe shirts or cool jackets from boyfriends to wear as my own. Yep … guilty as charged.
BOTTOM LINE: This TNS men’s denim jacket from Tennis Denim is well-made and sturdy. It has a classic, timeless design that’s definitely not going out of style any time in the near future. And at $40 (the price at the time of this review) it’s an excellent value for the quality of the jacket.

I ordered this jacket with high hopes of adding a stylish and comfortable piece to my wardrobe. Unfortunately, the size discrepancy was immediately evident upon trying it on. The jacket turned out to be way too small for me, leaving me disappointed. However, to my surprise, it found a new home with my 15 year old kid, who found the fit to be just right.
The denim material is of good quality, offering a sturdy and durable construction. The stitching and overall craftsmanship are satisfactory, lending a touch of authenticity to the jacket’s design. The classic denim style and detailing are appealing and versatile, making it suitable for various casual outfits.
However, the glaring issue lies in the sizing. Despite being labeled as an X-LARGE men’s jacket, it was far from accommodating for someone of my size, who’s X-large shirts are usually a tad baggy. The fit was tight and restrictive, failing to provide the comfortable and relaxed feel expected from a denim jacket.
Nevertheless, I decided to pass the jacket onto my teenager, who found it to be a perfect fit. (It is worth noting that they typically wear a medium to large size in women’s clothing.) The jacket’s proportions and measurements seemed more in line with that size rather than an X-large men’s size.

This is the first jean jacket I have ever had (I’ve always wanted one so I can go full Larry Enticer mode). It has a good, heavy, durable feel that I was expecting from a jean jacket. The length sits about right on my frame (Size Medium on a 5’9″ body), but the sleeves are too long. It would be great to subtract about an inch from the sleeves.
This jacket can serve two purposes. Fashion and hard work. Which will you choose?

This shirt feels very odd when you have all the buttons fastened. The reason for this is that the bottom of the jacket is tighter than the rest of it, so when you button the very bottom button, it is obviously tighter than the rest of it. The denim is soft, and feels slightly stressed, although it doesn’t look stressed, only faded. It is fairly well built. The fit is also a but more snug than I prefer, but it’s not far off,.

Good quality at a good price and delivered promptly
