I’m a standard 16. Ordered the XXL, which the size guide said fits 16-18. They are snug, not in a good way. I’ll keep them, only because I’m delusional and always think I’m going to lose 10+ pounds in the next few days. I can wear them with an overblouse. Lightweight material prefect heading into spring/summer. A lot of reviews say this runs small at the waist, but I disagree. In fact they run a little bit looser on me… Maybe I just don’t have enough junk in the trunk haha! IMO they’re pretty true to size, w/ a relaxed fit. So comfortable and the style to me is cool and unique. I ordered the black pair after liking the blue. The blue pair is a more lightweight denim. The black is thicker and more rigid. They are both a high waist fit, hit right around my belly button. The black is slightly more fitted at the hip. Both pairs have the very exaggerated baggy barrel leg. I’m 5’4 and normally a size 4/27 in jeans. I got the small, for me they fit perfectly. I think on me a medium would be too oversized but might work for others depending on your style. They hit right at my ankle. If you’re on the fence, try them!

Love these jeans!! I just ordered two more pairs in different colours. They are pretty much identical to FP barrel jeans, perhaps a tad higher in the waist. They fit me perfectly. They are true jeans material and super flattering. I’m 5’4” 135-140lbs for reference, I ordered large based on reviews. *Update* I just received the Blue Tides ones, and they are actually a tad larger then Archive Grey, the fit is baggier and there is a noticeable size difference when comparing the two. I will to see how Medium Blue fits when it arrives, I’m hoping it is more like Archive Grey.

After trying to decide for months if the barrel leg jean would be right for me, I chose this pair. They unfortunately ended up being a no, but here were the pros and cons.
Pros: I obviously didn’t wear these beyond trying them on for a few minutes, but I was surprised by how denim-like these felt. They aren’t 98-100% cotton by any means, though they had that nice, structured feel of pure denim. I think they’d wash up pretty well. They also didn’t have a nasty chemical smell, which is a feature of so many jeans–cheap and expensive–nowadays! That said, the front button was a bit flimsy.
Cons: I had a feeling that barrel jeans would be a lot like rompers; it’s 50/50 if your body proportions will fit. I’m a “long-legged” 5’3, I have an apple shape, and have average size thighs and bum. Due to my apple belly I opt for high rise pants so I can hit my true waist that’s above my belly button and not feel squeezed all day. The strange thing was that these pants gave me a huge bum wedgie, which is something I never experience. Not sure if that’s common with this style jean, but I was not a fan.
I also think at 5’3 I’m not really tall enough for them. If I had to guess these pants would look best on people who are 5’5-5’8. But it’s not just the height. The barreling of the jean also needs to hit the right part of your leg. Too high and they’d have a WW2 military jodhpurs vibe (yikes) and too low would make it look like you have smaller thighs and very beefy calves.
Hmm, the more I write about these pants the more I think they’re a style that probably looks best photographed but are just off in-person and in-motion unless you’re that rare unicorn. Basically, if you’ve been eying this style I’d suggest trying them out, but don’t be surprised if they aren’t your holy grail denim.

This Greaidea brand is nice, heavier denim more suited for cooler weather, with a higher percentage of cotton w/viscose & some stretch. These Barrels have a high waist and a wider leg than the Grapent brand & styles, without the extra seam, but not “baggy”, nor too stiff. There’s a lot of room for hippi-er gals, too, with some stretch and an overall looser fit for me, who normally wears size 14-16 at 5’4″. I ordered the XXL in these for extra belly room, since they may shrink a bit more than fabric with a higher percentage of polyester and are perfect full length on me. They are very comfortable and warm. The Reddish Brown color is a great, dark chocolate that’s overdyed, so be sure to wash carefully with dark colors and inside out!

I purchased the black ones and that material is quite ” sturdy”. So I took a chance ( hesitant to waste 42.00) and I washed them probably 10 times using fabric softener everytime. So, after all that and a bit of ironing- I tried them on. The waist was spot on * perhaps shrunk a little- so had I ordered a large, I think in the waist they may have been too tight. All in all – after all the above, they are a cute, different look.

These are absolutely my favorite jeans! I will certainly be buying more! I am 5’8” and around 155 pounds.. I ordered the medium. I do have some room around the waist but I think a small would be a little too small. I’m usually a large. They do fit oversized but they are soooo comfortable! I got so many compliments when I wore them to work! Loveeee these!! Great quality and just like the picture!! I think they would be cute with boots or ballet flats… I’ve been wearing them with my woven platform slide sandals. Buy them! You won’t regret it!!

For the price-I really like these jeans. However, the sizing is so off. I first ordered a small and medium, but both were practically falling off me. I ordered an xxs and it fits perfectly, I’m 5’2” and it’s literally the perfect length (I cut off an inch because I wanted a raw hem). To better help everyone, my rough measurements are 26”waist, 37”booty and 32”hips. They aren’t super stretchy, but very comfortable and decently thick. I would say they’re better than target jeans in thickness.

I’m obsessed with these, bought in 3 colors. Denim is good quality for the price, very thick with a little stretch. Barrel jeans can be very decisive, they either work for you or they don’t. For the price it’s worth a try. For me the cut is so flattering. I’m barely 5’4″ about 120 lbs. the length is perfect to show just a hint of ankle (tall girls beware!). I’m an hourglass shape with shorter legs and a long torso. The waist hits me just below my natural waste and is extremely flattering as it’s cinched in in just the right spot. The details on the side are also slimming and I like the added seam in the back below the waste band that helps make the rear look less long. I live in a hot climate and I can wear them even on warm days since they allow for some airflow (coming from a millennial raised on skinny jeans). Comfortable for sitting, walking, and lounging.

Really good quality Jean. It feels like real denim but has just the right amount of give. I’m actually really impressed given the price and the quality/attention to detail. However, one thing missed was the front pocket(s). I tried to show it in my attached photos, but it seems like the lining of the front pocket isn’t large enough on the inside. Therefore as they’re worn through out the day the inner pocket sort of gets pulled up; picking out of the jean. For the price and overall look of the pants I’m willing to deal with it but definitely something to be noted. Also the “denim” smell is REALLY strong. Not sure why but it has a strong smell even after a couple washes. Not bad, just like denim.

I just love this jeans. They look great and fit as they supposed to. They are not stretchy. I usually buy M so I bought M now as well. They did fit me but were tight fit that does not go with barrels, so I exchanged it for L and they are perfect. They fall down a little to sit on my hips but they are NOT the low rise. Loose just as much as it is expected and they look great from the back too. Very flatering. I was a bit hesitant first seeing that it is often returned item due to bad fit but then I took the risk and I am so happy I did. These jeans are my new favorites. If you like them you should give a try. Just remember they do not strech so adjust your sizing.

People seem to either love or hate this style of jean. I had been wanting to try them, but not at brand name prices. I first got one of the blue pairs, I love them. So comfortable and the style to me is cool and unique. I ordered the black pair after liking the blue. The blue pair is a more lightweight denim. The black is thicker and more rigid. They are both a high waist fit, hit right around my belly button. The black is slightly more fitted at the hip. Both pairs have the very exaggerated baggy barrel leg. I’m 5’4 and normally a size 4/27 in jeans. I got the small, for me they fit perfectly. I think on me a medium would be too oversized but might work for others depending on your style. They hit right at my ankle. If you’re on the fence, try them!

Love these jeans!! I just ordered two more pairs in different colours. They are pretty much identical to FP barrel jeans, perhaps a tad higher in the waist. They fit me perfectly. They are true jeans material and super flattering. I’m 5’4” 135-140lbs for reference, I ordered large based on reviews.

I just received the Blue Tides ones, and they are actually a tad larger then Archive Grey, the fit is baggier and there is a noticeable size difference when comparing the two. I will to see how Medium Blue fits when it arrives, I’m hoping it is more like Archive Grey.

Just slipped into these jeans and wow, they’re the definition of cool and hip! Perfect fit for my 5’4″ self and comfy as a cloud. The material is thick. Heads up though, they do shrink – so maybe don’t let them near your dryer!

After trying to decide for months if the barrel leg jean would be right for me, I chose this pair. They unfortunately ended up being a no, but here were the pros and cons.
Pros: I obviously didn’t wear these beyond trying them on for a few minutes, but I was surprised by how denim-like these felt. They aren’t 98-100% cotton by any means, though they had that nice, structured feel of pure denim. I think they’d wash up pretty well. They also didn’t have a nasty chemical smell, which is a feature of so many jeans–cheap and expensive–nowadays! That said, the front button was a bit flimsy.
Cons: I had a feeling that barrel jeans would be a lot like rompers; it’s 50/50 if your body proportions will fit. I’m a “long-legged” 5’3, I have an apple shape, and have average size thighs and bum. Due to my apple belly I opt for high rise pants so I can hit my true waist that’s above my belly button and not feel squeezed all day. The strange thing was that these pants gave me a huge bum wedgie, which is something I never experience. Not sure if that’s common with this style jean, but I was not a fan.
I also think at 5’3 I’m not really tall enough for them. If I had to guess these pants would look best on people who are 5’5-5’8. But it’s not just the height. The barreling of the jean also needs to hit the right part of your leg. Too high and they’d have a WW2 military jodhpurs vibe (yikes) and too low would make it look like you have smaller thighs and very beefy calves.
Hmm, the more I write about these pants the more I think they’re a style that probably looks best photographed but are just off in-person and in-motion unless you’re that rare unicorn. Basically, if you’ve been eying this style I’d suggest trying them out, but don’t be surprised if they aren’t your holy grail denim.

This Greaidea brand is nice, heavier denim more suited for cooler weather, with a higher percentage of cotton w/viscose & some stretch. These Barrels have a high waist and a wider leg than the Grapent brand & styles, without the extra seam, but not “baggy”, nor too stiff. There’s a lot of room for hippi-er gals, too, with some stretch and an overall looser fit for me, who normally wears size 14-16 at 5’4″. I ordered the XXL in these for extra belly room, since they may shrink a bit more than fabric with a higher percentage of polyester and are perfect full length on me. They are very comfortable and warm. The Reddish Brown color is a great, dark chocolate that’s overdyed, so be sure to wash carefully with dark colors and inside out!

These are very well made! I took the advice of Amazon and ordered the XL. Upon taking out of the bag- they appeared to look very large. I purchased the black ones and that material is quite ” sturdy”. So I took a chance ( hesitant to waste 42.00) and I washed them probably 10 times using fabric softener everytime. So, after all that and a bit of ironing- I tried them on. The waist was spot on * perhaps shrunk a little- so had I ordered a large, I think in the waist they may have been too tight. All in all – after all the above, they are a cute, different look.

These are absolutely my favorite jeans! I will certainly be buying more! I am 5’8” and around 155 pounds.. I ordered the medium. I do have some room around the waist but I think a small would be a little too small. I’m usually a large. They do fit oversized but they are soooo comfortable! I got so many compliments when I wore them to work! Loveeee these!! Great quality and just like the picture!! I think they would be cute with boots or ballet flats… I’ve been wearing them with my woven platform slide sandals. Buy them! You won’t regret it!!

For the price-I really like these jeans. However, the sizing is so off. I first ordered a small and medium, but both were practically falling off me. I ordered an xxs and it fits perfectly, I’m 5’2” and it’s literally the perfect length (I cut off an inch because I wanted a raw hem). To better help everyone, my rough measurements are 26”waist, 37”booty and 32”hips. They aren’t super stretchy, but very comfortable and decently thick. I would say they’re better than target jeans in thickness.
EDIT: I seriously love these jeans, I wear them like every other day. Still have to order more colors

I’m obsessed with these, bought in 3 colors. Denim is good quality for the price, very thick with a little stretch. Barrel jeans can be very decisive, they either work for you or they don’t. For the price it’s worth a try. For me the cut is so flattering. I’m barely 5’4″ about 120 lbs. the length is perfect to show just a hint of ankle (tall girls beware!). I’m an hourglass shape with shorter legs and a long torso. The waist hits me just below my natural waste and is extremely flattering as it’s cinched in in just the right spot. The details on the side are also slimming and I like the added seam in the back below the waste band that helps make the rear look less long. I live in a hot climate and I can wear them even on warm days since they allow for some airflow (coming from a millennial raised on skinny jeans). Comfortable for sitting, walking, and lounging.

Really good quality Jean. It feels like real denim but has just the right amount of give. I’m actually really impressed given the price and the quality/attention to detail. However, one thing missed was the front pocket(s). I tried to show it in my attached photos, but it seems like the lining of the front pocket isn’t large enough on the inside. Therefore as they’re worn through out the day the inner pocket sort of gets pulled up; picking out of the jean. For the price and overall look of the pants I’m willing to deal with it but definitely something to be noted. Also the “denim” smell is REALLY strong. Not sure why but it has a strong smell even after a couple washes. Not bad, just like denim.

Cute cute! I looked for what felt like forever to find a good pair of barrel jeans and this pair checks all the boxes! Perfect length—I’m petite and these are great. Very stretchy, in fact I could have sized down. Comfortable and very lightweight. Good quality—I’ve washed multiple times and they still look brand new. Purchased the light wash and the color is on point !

I just love this jeans. They look great and fit as they supposed to. They are not stretchy. I usually buy M so I bought M now as well. They did fit me but were tight fit that does not go with barrels, so I exchanged it for L and they are perfect. They fall down a little to sit on my hips but they are NOT the low rise. Loose just as much as it is expected and they look great from the back too. Very flatering. I was a bit hesitant first seeing that it is often returned item due to bad fit but then I took the risk and I am so happy I did. These jeans are my new favorites. If you like them you should give a try. Just remember they do not strech so adjust your sizing.
