I recently started wearing suspenders and am now on the lookout for cool looking, functional and most importantly, quality suspenders. This set is very nice in quality and functionality. It’s a good basic make up with good elastic bands and sturdy clips. The clips are the smaller kind, not the wide type and there is one clip per connection area. Some suspenders will have two clips for each side and the back. This one keeps it simple and less cluttered with singles. This is good if you don’t want too much metallic bling. The metal is shiny so keep that in mind. The clips have plastic inserts to protect your pant waist. The great thing is that it comes with Y-straps that change the clips to buttons connections. If you are inclined to sew in buttons or if you already have them built in, this is a wonderful feature since the connection is cleaner and more sophisticated looking. The extender bar clamps for the bands works well and does a good job holding the length. The back is a Y-style. The only drawback is the faux leather. It is shiny and adds a bit of a glitzy feel, but at the same time, it does not appear or feel like leather so if you are okay with that go for it. My concern would be heat or sweat moisture causing the ‘pleather’ to peel. I will report back if anything changes, but I am fairly confident it will provide at least a few years of service if worn a few times a week. For the price, it is worth the effort.

The adjustability is critical for these, as there is no size listing on the item description- but there is a range offered. I was pleased with the level of adjustability and the ease of adjustment. I also appreciate the option for clips or, my preferred, button loops. I read a few reviews about the poor durability of the button strips, so I’ll be watching those throughout my usage. I previously owned a set of full leather button loop braces and I retained the leather button strips, should these go bad. I’m not sold on the claim that the center patch or the button strip on these braces are leather. They feel fake, smell fake, and to some degree, look fake. I’m not sure why companies think they are fooling anyone when their products are not true leather. But, the elasticity of the straps are adequate for my daily, professional needs and I’m happy with the design features and color options.

For posers and non-posers alike. Those of us (non-posers) who bother to install the suspender buttons are able to use these as well as the posers who clip them on. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. (good thing Amazon doesn’t have down votes)
This issue is there is a choice of using buttons or a clip. When you get the suspenders you have to pull back the leather catch and remove one or the other. Would normally not be a problem, BUT the catch comes loose while being worn. More than once I have had to re-attach these as they are being worn. Recently, however the backer screw popped through the same hole. Now I need to find a washer (and possibly a slightly longer screw) to re attach them.

The flimsy tinfoil buckles just pop apart. You can pop them back together again but then they just pop apart again. Not a great feature if you just want to hold your pants up.

I truly could not have expected how low the quality of the “leather” attachments of these would be. If you are purchasing these as part of a costume, or for a wedding where they will only be used once – they may last that long, but if you want suspenders that will keep your pants in place on a regular basis, look elsewhere.

I’ve been wearing them everyday, all day, for about a week now and they’ve been great. The quality feels fair for the price. I’ve been using the clasps because my pant don’t have suspender buttons and the clasps have bene holding up really well, they seem like they’ll last awhile, as well as the suspender straps themselves. They feel comfortable to wear for long periods of time, and easy to adjust. I would just be carful about adjusting them too tightly. The small leather piece that that buttons the clasp to the actual strap is fairly thin, and on my pair, this button has started to tear the leather. Eventually it will split completely and I will need to replace it, but thankfully I work with leather and can fix that myself with something a little more durable. Overall, they are worth the price. Just give them a bit of slack.

If you are buying these for a 1 time wear then they are perfect.
If you plan on using these even just a few times then stay away. They are junk.
The fake leather wears out quick and flakes even faster.
This is dollar store quality at best.

Yes, these suspenders are good quality, easy to adjust, comfortable, with nice soft leather button loops (buttons included) and do the job suspenders are meant to do.
