I was delightfully surprised when I removed these shorts from their vacuum sealed packaging. The fabric is softer than what you’d expect looking at the picture, yet very durable. There is already that ‘broken in’ feeling you look forward to having with a good new pair of denim jeans. They wear like you’ve had them for a while… really comfortable.
The pockets are a good size, fully usable. The zipper and stitching are good quality. The design is a deliberate fade to the color which adds to that well worn feeling.
I was nervous about the size because there was no size chart, so I got my usual which is a size 2. I’m 5’2, 108lbs, with a fuller 27” waist and they fit me perfectly. Inseam is perfect. I love the length because I can wear them for any casual occasion, and sit very comfortably.
I give these shorts an A+ !!

2. There is no stretch to this fabric so your sizing has to be exact or they won’t work.

These are cool. I think they’re perfect for a casual weekend, wear with a tank and throw a linen button down with cuffed sleeves over to finish off the fit. Paired with sneakers, cute sandals and you’re set for effortless styling.
The shorts feel and look like denim, just enough stretch to make them comfortable without compromising the look. I’m also loving the raw hem finish.
On me, the waist is fitted and hits on my natural waist. The hips are equally as fitted, just a bit wider before transitioning to the wider flare that hits just above my knees. While I’m rather petite with a semi athletic build, they don’t look the same on me as the models shown — when I say the waist is fitted, it really is. I thought they’d be more a drop waist. If that’s the look you’re going for you may want to size up.
For reference I am 5’ tall at 120lbs. I am almost always a US4 with my measurements at just shy of a 27”Waist with 36”Hips. I chose the same size here for the Tankaneo Baggy Bermuda Shorts in Black. I first thought they might be too baggy, happy it was the correct size on me.
I’m still playing around with styling them. I also thought a vest would be cute with chunky loafers for a whole different vibe. We’ll see, as I’m determined to lean into the cool girl vibe with these.
