I definitely recommend you try these jeans. I’m 5’2 and 160 lbs. Amazon recommended a size 16. I usually wear a 14. I ordered a 12 and 14 optimistically. They were too big. They didn’t lift the butt or manage the tummy bulge. Returned for a size 10. This size is magic. To obtain the perfect butt lift and keep tummy tight I wear a belt as they tend to slip down on my waist a little which ruins the desired effect. These jeans are comfortable for all day wear. The first two pairs I ordered came cuffed and I liked the length. The third pant I received didn’t come cuffed and I haven’t been able to cuff them as nicely as the manufacturer did. Probably I’m just bad at cuffing… I won’t recommend you order three sizes down from the Amazon recommendation though because you may like to have your jeans to fit differently than I do. Do not expect a “Spanx” type effect. These jeans offer moderate control.

These jeans are great quality. I am not a jean lover, and in fact this is the only pair I own right now. But, they were cute, the reviews are great, and I needed a pair. I am 5’4″, 195 lbs, and I bought a size 14. They fit perfect, though the length was a bit long and the waist is not really fitted (which is good as my waist is not small), not as shown on the model, who is likely taller than me and clearly much slimmer. They look as good as expected for my size and are comfortable. I haven’t worn them for an extended period yet, but I feel they will stretch out a bit. I would buy again, if I need another pair.

I read through all the reviews and took the advise to size down for this style. I wear a 12 comfortably normally and ordered a 10 in these. More than I pay for jeans lately because they are such a hard fit for me now that I’ve turned 50 (I’ve had four sons and am shaped like a coke bottle lol) 5’7″ 160lbs. These jeans are perfect. I do not care for high rise anything and these hit perfectly mid rise-ish with the BEST tummy control I say that because it was secure but not at all uncomfortable at all! I have a 31″ inseam and these hit just to the bottom of my sandal perfectly. Great color. I did take the advice on a previous review and washed them twice before wearing them which handled all issues with blue color transfer. I did dry them after the two washes (I usually air dry jeans but they did well in the dryer and held their color nicely) Spend the money…if you are looking for a nice pair of jeans that help you look great and stylish buy these! (I also bought their white jeans – different style but they were equally great)

These fit a little big. I have bought these before and the fit and comfort is spot on. The waist is flattering. I’m normally a size 6, occasionally a 4. The size I already had is a size 4. They seemed to be a little snug around waist, but still wearable. So I bought 6’s this time and, though comfortable, they are a little loose. So, short version of the review is, love them but if you are kinda in between sizes, go down a size. These will become your go-to jeans

Many reviewers said these ran extremely large, but I disagree. I am a size 8, but I have a fantastic pair of Democracy ab-solution skinny jeans in a size 6 that are a wonderful fit, so I ordered these in a 6 thinking they’d be perfect. They’re WAY too small, and they’re also a solid midrise, not a high rise. Adorable style, though, so I plan to return and try ordering a 10 to see if that size will work. I’m 5’4″ 155lbs with a soft middle.

I was so excited to get these, but when they arrived they were clearly used. There were no tags, and they actually smelled like laundry detergent. Not acceptable in any way. I’m so disappointed. I have no problem with secondhand clothing… when I know it’s secondhand and I am not paying premium prices.

If you have never worn democracy jeans order a pair and they will become your favorite. Perfect stretch but not like leggings. Very comfortable fit true to size but because of stretch if you are between sizes you can order the smaller and they will fit. I was in a 12/10 but ordered one pair in a size 10 and they fit.

I’ve wanted to try these for a while so grabbed them on prime day. I wear a size 2/26 in most denim. These are VERY “vanity sized”. The 2 is quite large. These fit like a relaxed/loose fit jean – there is definitely none of the “Ab-solution” technology holding things in, though I can see where it would work if they were more fitted on me. I wish Amazon carried the size 0 so I could size down and get the intended fit. I’m still keeping them because they are a cute loose fit, but I wish I could get the more fitted look.
I ordered 2 of these and noticed the fit is different. The first pair was prime wardrobe and I planned to keep them until I noticed a flaw in the fabric that looked like bleach or distressing liquid had been dripped down the back calf. I sent back and ordered again same style size and color hoping they’d run smaller. The second pair ran even larger, unfortunately. I do worry these will stretch out too much as I wear them but for the sale price they will be ok for daily wear. I like the lighter weight denim and the stretch. I’m a teacher and am often sitting on the floor so they will be comfortable on jeans days. Amazon, PLEASE add the size 0 to your lineup (I know they sell it on their own website!)!
