I bought a 14 long and they are plenty long to wear with heals. To long for flats. I’m 5’8″ tall and 160 pounds and other that how long they are I’m keeping them. The next pair I buy will be 14 average. The next ones so I can wear flats or sandals.

I ordered three pairs of these Gloria Vanderbilt jeans in different colors and every single one fits and feels differently. The black ones especially are of a much stiffer material and definitely not comfortable. Both blue ones (“Callisto” and “Zermatt”) fit very well, however “Callisto” came with a ripped zipper, so I was sent a replacement. As you can see the replacement was made in Jordan and after trying it on it is of much better quality, material and fit than the same jeans made in Bangladesh.
I love how lightweight they are, and that they have real pockets. Very versatile and can be dressed up or down. For the price you’re getting a very comfortable pair of jeans in amazing quality that you just can’t beat. I would definitely recommend them, just not in every color.

My personal experience has been that Gloria Vanderbilt “Amanda” style jeans fit me much better than most other brands. I absolutely love the new ones I just purchased through Amazon. The price was lower than I can find them in a store. I chose the lighter blue since they are different from what I already have. These jeans wash well, fit great, and are very comfortable. They come in a huge variety of colors and you can get them in short, average, or tall. I hope to order more in the near future.

Ordered two pair of these, an 8L (recommended by Amazon) and a 6L (because 6 is my usual size in pants). For reference, I’m 5’7” and 125 lbs, abt a 37” hip. The 8L were big, boxy, too long and too loose (wrong size); the 6L were a better fit—definitely not tight, though at least 4” too long. Returned both these Long-sized Amazon orders, and since Amanda regular 6 was not available, I ordered a pair in that size elsewhere. The reg 6 fits better, though still longer than other regular-sized jeans I own (a plus—can launder without worry). The Amanda style is a more loose-fit style than skinny jeans, and definitely look looser on me than on the model. But they are a higher-waisted, stretchy style, esp good for when you’re going to be doing a lot of sitting (eg. travel).
*UPDATE: The 6R seemed to stretch out and get even looser after a few days of travel wearing last week. Based on reviews by others my size or larger, I ordered a size 4R (Zermatt), even though Amazon was now suggesting I order 6L. The 4R is actually the best fit in this Amanda style, and is still plenty long. *PHOTOS are of the 4R. Third time’s a charm! (These pants did need to be washed right away due to strong chemical smell.)

I purchased two pairs in 18 short. I am only 5’2” but I am a very curvy lady (no matter my size at time) so often I feel like the rise in petites can be too short. These fit perfectly, at waist, hips and thigh without being too long. Often if the pants fit my hips, the waist is too big and I either have to alter them or wear a belt and at my age, I really don’t like wearing belts. I discovered the capris this spring and ended up buying 5 pairs in different colors and shades of denim so I know these will wear well after being laundered. So, I am now purchasing for fall/winter. Today I received Dusty Dune (a pale gray, blue, green color) which I knew I was taking a chance on but really like the color as it will pair well with many things. I also received Rinse Noir (a really dark denim). Prior to this I had purchase a Black pair. These are very clean and classic in their tailoring so it will be easy to dress them up or wear casually and they have just enough stretch to make them comfortable for all day wear yet they still hold their shape. I have found that if you watch, you can get them for 50% off and who doesn’t like something that gives you both quality with savings, especially in this economy. I plan to purchase another couple of pair before winter once I decide what shades of denim I want.

These fit perfectly in the waist and length, but I have a weird shape due to carrying a lot of weight for a couple of decades and now I really don’t know my true size, I still can’t even wrap my head around wearing a size in the single digits. I think for me, the area below the waist, (my over lapping abdominal tissue some call a fupa) to my upper thighs is accentuated, the pants aren’t tight enough to compress my sagging skin, sorry to be so descriptive, but if you carried large pregnancies or had extended and over stretched abdominal tissue, you might understand that we need some tummy control there, and sadly the Amanda style, one of my favorites back in the 90’s, doesn’t really help with that. I’m afraid to go down to a 4 or 5 and ending up with pants that are too small. Hope this helps, the quality is great, the color Hazelnut was perfect, and the material is so soft.

I can’t stand my other jeans with low-rise jeans and I can’t keep 12/14 up while walking . I prefer zip up rather than pull up pants.
This GV’s runs a little big on me, I bought size 14/ kept these and made my own alterations – but will definitely re order a size 12.

Love these, Jeans. They fit perfectly, first time I’ve found pants that actually fit me and not 6 inches too long. Wear them all the time, bought 3 pair different colors. Dark blue, a light blue, and a beige color. They are very comfortable. Wash and dry with no shrinkage. Great Product, wish I would have found Gloria Vanderbilt long ago. These are the same jeans that I had purchased years ago and I am still wearing them! They’re the best jeans for us older women, or any woman who tends to gain and lose 10lbs in the same month and needs jeans that aren’t going to choke you on your heavier days. I am 5 feet 3 inches tall. I purchased these because I own a pair already & they are comfortable. I lost weight & had to go down a size, but the length is a little long. If I went to petite they would be too short. So I washed them & hope they will shrink. And to be honest even though they fit ok, a little shrinking might make them look even better on me. Hate being in between sizes!!

These are quality jeans with that little 2% lycra stretch to form fit to the body and also wash and wear much better than pure cotton. The Amanda hi rise is a better fit for my girlfriend and I am sure most women. The moroccan spice color is so unique and is really a dusty rose. The color and size options are so varied that these jeans are in their own marketing zone for desirability. I am sure people will still buy $100+ designer jeans but these GV will make you look so good for so little.

And this is a really versatile, neutral color that goes with about everything. Even after several washes, and in the dryer, the fabric is holding up and they do not shrink much at all. I have shrunk over the years and am probably about 5’1″ or 5’2″, so most pants are way too long. (I also lost a lot of weight — from a size 14 about 15 years ago to size 6 now.) These are the most comfortable pants I own (and wear)!!!! And they look good. Gloria Vanderbilt Women’s Jeans fit me well, and most other brands do not. Even when I wore a size 12 or 14, these jeans were always the best fitting. I don’t even look at other brands!

I purchased these earlier (last year) and have worn them only one time. They appear to be the same as others I have ordered, but when I wore them, I found the legs to be very baggy, especially in the thigh area. I double-checked the size and it is correct, but when I held them up with another pair, the legs are much wider. I am not sure what to do but will probably have to attempt to resew the side seams when I get my sewing machine going again. All other orders have been perfect, so I can’t guess the cause of the difference unless maybe they were made in a different country than the others?? Not a huge problem — just thought I’d mention in case anyone else has had the same issue.

Finally, a great pair of jeans for this pair shaped woman. I’m 5’4.5” I weigh 165 pounds. I finally found a pair of white jeans that fit and look great on my body type. I bought them because of the complaints about them being loose. They are perfect for a pair shaped body. Normally if it fits in my hips and thighs, it’s too big in the waist. These pants are perfect. The color opaque and not see-through, which is very important for white pants. Yeah.

I already have the Amanda boot cut jeans in size 10, so I knew exactly what size to get and they fit perfectly. There’s just enough stretch that it hugs my hips and upper legs perfectly. If you like deep pockets, these are for you, although I personally don’t care for them because they make my hips look wider than they are. But they cinched my saggy belly in very nicely, and that is hard to do when you’ve had 5 babies in 7 years. I gave it 4 stars because I really wanted to like the appeal of straight leg jeans and it’s just not doing it for me. I started high school in 2010 when skinny jeans were the big trend and I think I’ll always think straight leg jeans make me look like I have cankles. I will be keeping these because I think with the right pieces these jeans could be extremely flattering.

I haven’t washed these jeans yet, hence 4 stars instead of 5. I will come back and edit if I’m still happy after washing them. First, these jeans, like all the other Gloria Vanderbilt jeans I’ve purchased, run small. I am a size 12 in all the other brands of pants in my closet, but I definitely need the 14, which these are. I guessed the size based on the fit of the size 16 which these new jeans are replacing. The dark wash is exactly what I wanted, but I’m guessing there’s likely to be some color transfer, so I’ll be watching for that before and after first wash. But for now, the fit is perfect and they look great.

Love the jean. Ordering 2nd pair. BUT BE AWARE. CHECK THE SIZE GUIDE. Regular and short are NOT the exact same jean. Short runs smaller in the waist. I ordered 12regular. They were too long, but fit nicely in the waist. I kept them and just turn them under. Ordered 12short. Great in length for 5’4”, but smaller around waist. Yes, it shows this in the size guide, 1 inch difference. I never thought to compare regular and short waist size. I will try 14short 😣. Great jeans, great colors, check the size guide!

Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda jeans are my go to. They are not rough or scratchy. They come in three lengths. They are not thin, nor are they thick. They are comfortable and higher waisted. They did not shrink in the wash. I washed them in tap cold water and dried them on medium heat. They are durable and come in several colors. There are two pockets in front and two pockets in back. They are high quality jeans without the high price. I recommend them highly.

I do love love these jeans. Been yrs since found any to wear due to fit. As evidenced by entire large plastic tote of tags on, brand new jeans, too late to return- all don’t fit in some way. I’m not picky either. The many other brands cannot wear.
These Gloria V’s are amazing. Comfortable, soft, w/ pockets/belt loops needed. And seam quality is good- don’t see the stitch errors you can on economical jeans. Appearance of these Amanda Gloria V’s are much better quality.
I’m 5’4, notoriously stuck btwn pant lengths. Petite are almost capri’s (I don’t wear); avg I’m walking on bottom of pants. Always plan on getting them hemmed, never do. Then the pant bottoms are eventually torn & stained a filthy color.
These average length Amanda jeans fit me very well. They’re a little long, but no where near close to walking on the bottoms.
There IS one pretty major issue- I wear size 18/20 on all brands, types of pants for years. Jeans, dress pants, casual, even 1pc dresses can’t be any smaller. I can’t ever find pants that fit-my hips are much smaller than waist & muffin top 😆
Ordered these in 18w, fit well maybe little loose which really made me happy. Yet did feel nice & supported too. Well within< 5 min walking around house, they suddenly fell completely to floor while mid stride. They’d already stretched out just to accommodate any movements.
Okay, so ordered 16 reluctantly- haven’t worn 16 in a verrrryy long time. Kept the 18 just in case. They came, put them on- felt perfect. Little snug to zip up but fine. This time added belt, went out to concert. Stood up from seat after concert-even w/ belt, jeans almost fell right off. Had to hold up until finally home. They had stretched out that much just sitting in them.
Took deep breath, ordered 14. Never thought I’d get on. Laid down flat as can, bf had to pull zipper up, I couldn’t. He struggled for good 5min; finally got it. Still didn’t trust- wore belt.
We went out for breakfast, then stopped at stores. By beg. of 1st store- jeans again completely stretched out & I needed to find restroom to tighten belt again. Once home- jeans wouldn’t stay up w/o tight belt.
I LOVE being able to see my jean tag w/ a sz haven’t had in decades! Still can’t believe it.
BUT- they’re a good couple sizes smaller than my norm. Even then- strongly suggest a belt.

As always, the BEST jeans ever!!!!! Especially for “mature” women’s bodies. The GV Amanda jeans are comfortable and stylish. The waistband is WHERE IT BELONGS—at the natural waist. The fabric is good quality with a hint of stretch. The legs don’t constrict your circulation but they aren’t baggy. Once I discovered these another brand of jeans have never been on my body. A big word of caution if there is spandex in them (look at the label): These jeans wash great. HOWEVER!!!!! Hang to dry or dryer dry only to damp to tumble the wrinkles out. If spandex is dried too long in a heated cycle, it will eventually bubble. Your jeans may tolerate a few drying cycles but one day you will pull them out and say “oh,……”.

I’ve been buying this exact jean for over 10 years (usually at Kohls). I wear them to work and they are always a good fit and flattering. I saw these on Amazon for only $20 and decided to get a few pairs. Something has changed with them. They fit fine in the waist and rear end is fitted fine, but legs are straight and not tapered and really wide and baggy and very long. They are not at all like previous versions. They are supposed to be “slimming”, but very baggy legs are not flattering and look dumpy, short and squat.

These vintage white jeans are a great addition to anyone’s summer wardrobe. I originally purchased the regular length but I returned them for the short length just so they stop closer to my ankle, rather than going past my shoe. They look great with all of my summer blouses. I’ve worn GV jeans since they first came out. They always fit me perfectly. I stopped wearing blue jeans as I got older, but decided to go back recently and get jeans in different colors because they are comfortable and easy to iron. I wondered if they would still fit me–and they do! They stretch slightly, and they have always been durable. These also look great after washing–and as I said before–only need a slight touch-up with an iron to look neat. Girls and women across a wide age span can look good wearing these.

I’m 5’2″ and I weigh 160 with an hourglass figure with somewhat short legs. I can fluctuate to 165 and back down again. My weight is presently on a downward trend overall again so who knows. I tried these on just after they arrived today. I absolutely LOVE the quality of the pants. They are so soft, a true white, and not a thin material so any colored underwear could be worn and not show through. The stitching is nice and I have nothing to complain about except that the process to determine my size and fit was confusing. I bought a size 16 short. It was long in the torso. I know I wanted high waisted and they definitely were. They came higher than my waist. It was almost fine in the waist as far as circumferemce but it had extra, and the jeans are made of a soft stretchy material so if they were already baggy, then by the end of the day I’m sure they would have been worse. If they got a little bigger while fitting snug at the beginning of the day or if they started out fitting just right, then it wouldn’t be an issue. Being these are already ridiculously big, I have to return them. If I wore them like this, it means they would appear to add on weight.
It had extra room in the hips and too much room for me in the bottom and a ridiculous amount of extra room in the legs starting in the upper thighs to the point of being baggy and I do in general like length in pants for taller shoes but this was too much. I was afraid by the look of the model in the picture they would be too short. I was wrong. She is not my height and is much taller. “Short” pants did not make up for it. Maybe the next size or two down would. I don’t know how many exchanges I will need to do.
I wish they would be more clear on whether people like me should get petite or short. I was under the impression that petite was more of a thinner build and not necessarily based on the length. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to wear a 16 but in a petite? I don’t want to keep sending pants back and forth. Maybe I’m a 14 short? Maybe the pants vary from pair to pair within the same brand, style, and size just like other brands in the stores do? I know in another brand I wear a size 12 short and they fit just like they were made for me, but I went on what the size chart for Gloria Vanderbuilt had when I ordered these. I’m still confused on what they call short and petite and why I can’t have a petite short. If you can figure out your size or you luck out, get them! Maybe my body is just odd, lol.
I’m knocking down a star just for how confusing the size chart is with the lack of communication about the difference between short and petite and not being able to choose both though they are listed in the two categories.

I ordered three pairs of these Gloria Vanderbilt jeans in different colors and every single one fits and feels differently. The black ones especially are of a much stiffer material and definitely not comfortable.
Both blue ones (“Callisto” and “Zermatt”) fit very well, however “Callisto” came with a ripped zipper, so I was sent a replacement. As you can see the replacement was made in Jordan and after trying it on it is of much better quality, material and fit than the same jeans made in Bangladesh.
I love how lightweight they are, and that they have real pockets. Very versatile and can be dressed up or down.
For the price you’re getting a very comfortable pair of jeans in amazing quality that you just can’t beat. I would definitely recommend them, just not in every color.

My personal experience has been that Gloria Vanderbilt “Amanda” style jeans fit me much better than most other brands. I absolutely love the new ones I just purchased through Amazon. The price was lower than I can find them in a store. I chose the lighter blue since they are different from what I already have. These jeans wash well, fit great, and are very comfortable. They come in a huge variety of colors and you can get them in short, average, or tall. I hope to order more in the near future.

Ordered two pair of these, an 8L (recommended by Amazon) and a 6L (because 6 is my usual size in pants). For reference, I’m 5’7” and 125 lbs, abt a 37” hip. The 8L were big, boxy, too long and too loose (wrong size); the 6L were a better fit—definitely not tight, though at least 4” too long. Returned both these Long-sized Amazon orders, and since Amanda regular 6 was not available, I ordered a pair in that size elsewhere. The reg 6 fits better, though still longer than other regular-sized jeans I own (a plus—can launder without worry). The Amanda style is a more loose-fit style than skinny jeans, and definitely look looser on me than on the model. But they are a higher-waisted, stretchy style, esp good for when you’re going to be doing a lot of sitting (eg. travel).
*UPDATE: The 6R seemed to stretch out and get even looser after a few days of travel wearing last week. Based on reviews by others my size or larger, I ordered a size 4R (Zermatt), even though Amazon was now suggesting I order 6L. The 4R is actually the best fit in this Amanda style, and is still plenty long. *PHOTOS are of the 4R. Third time’s a charm! (These pants did need to be washed right away due to strong chemical smell.)

I purchased two pairs in 18 short. I am only 5’2” but I am a very curvy lady (no matter my size at time) so often I feel like the rise in petites can be too short. These fit perfectly, at waist, hips and thigh without being too long. Often if the pants fit my hips, the waist is too big and I either have to alter them or wear a belt and at my age, I really don’t like wearing belts. I discovered the capris this spring and ended up buying 5 pairs in different colors and shades of denim so I know these will wear well after being laundered. So, I am now purchasing for fall/winter. Today I received Dusty Dune (a pale gray, blue, green color) which I knew I was taking a chance on but really like the color as it will pair well with many things. I also received Rinse Noir (a really dark denim). Prior to this I had purchase a Black pair. These are very clean and classic in their tailoring so it will be easy to dress them up or wear casually and they have just enough stretch to make them comfortable for all day wear yet they still hold their shape. I have found that if you watch, you can get them for 50% off and who doesn’t like something that gives you both quality with savings, especially in this economy. I plan to purchase another couple of pair before winter once I decide what shades of denim I want.

I think for me, the area below the waist, (my over lapping abdominal tissue some call a fupa) to my upper thighs is accentuated, the pants aren’t tight enough to compress my sagging skin, sorry to be so descriptive, but if you carried large pregnancies or had extended and over stretched abdominal tissue, you might understand that we need some tummy control there, and sadly the Amanda style, one of my favorites back in the 90’s, doesn’t really help with that. I’m afraid to go down to a 4 or 5 and ending up with pants that are too small. Hope this helps, the quality is great, the color Hazelnut was perfect, and the material is so soft.

These just fit well……and that is the hardest thing to find. Even the length is perfect. The proportion between waist and hip is perfect. And this is a really versatile, neutral color that goes with about everything. Even after several washes, and in the dryer, the fabric is holding up and they do not shrink much at all. I have shrunk over the years and am probably about 5’1″ or 5’2″, so most pants are way too long. (I also lost a lot of weight — from a size 14 about 15 years ago to size 6 now.) These are the most comfortable pants I own (and wear)!!!! And they look good. Gloria Vanderbilt Women’s Jeans fit me well, and most other brands do not. Even when I wore a size 12 or 14, these jeans were always the best fitting. I don’t even look at other brands!

I purchased these earlier (last year) and have worn them only one time. They appear to be the same as others I have ordered, but when I wore them, I found the legs to be very baggy, especially in the thigh area. I double-checked the size and it is correct, but when I held them up with another pair, the legs are much wider. I am not sure what to do but will probably have to attempt to resew the side seams when I get my sewing machine going again. All other orders have been perfect, so I can’t guess the cause of the difference unless maybe they were made in a different country than the others?? Not a huge problem — just thought I’d mention in case anyone else has had the same issue.

I already have the Amanda boot cut jeans in size 10, so I knew exactly what size to get and they fit perfectly. There’s just enough stretch that it hugs my hips and upper legs perfectly. If you like deep pockets, these are for you, although I personally don’t care for them because they make my hips look wider than they are. But they cinched my saggy belly in very nicely, and that is hard to do when you’ve had 5 babies in 7 years. I gave it 4 stars because I really wanted to like the appeal of straight leg jeans and it’s just not doing it for me. I started high school in 2010 when skinny jeans were the big trend and I think I’ll always think straight leg jeans make me look like I have cankles. I will be keeping these because I think with the right pieces these jeans could be extremely flattering.

I haven’t washed these jeans yet, hence 4 stars instead of 5. I will come back and edit if I’m still happy after washing them. First, these jeans, like all the other Gloria Vanderbilt jeans I’ve purchased, run small. I am a size 12 in all the other brands of pants in my closet, but I definitely need the 14, which these are. I guessed the size based on the fit of the size 16 which these new jeans are replacing. The dark wash is exactly what I wanted, but I’m guessing there’s likely to be some color transfer, so I’ll be watching for that before and after first wash. But for now, the fit is perfect and they look great.

Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda jeans are my go to. They are not rough or scratchy. They come in three lengths. They are not thin, nor are they thick. They are comfortable and higher waisted. They did not shrink in the wash. I washed them in tap cold water and dried them on medium heat. They are durable and come in several colors. There are two pockets in front and two pockets in back. They are high quality jeans without the high price. I recommend them highly.

Been yrs since found any to wear due to fit. As evidenced by entire large plastic tote of tags on, brand new jeans, too late to return- all don’t fit in some way. I’m not picky either. The many other brands cannot wear.
These Gloria V’s are amazing. Comfortable, soft, w/ pockets/belt loops needed. And seam quality is good- don’t see the stitch errors you can on economical jeans. Appearance of these Amanda Gloria V’s are much better quality.
I’m 5’4, notoriously stuck btwn pant lengths. Petite are almost capri’s (I don’t wear); avg I’m walking on bottom of pants. Always plan on getting them hemmed, never do. Then the pant bottoms are eventually torn & stained a filthy color.
These average length Amanda jeans fit me very well. They’re a little long, but no where near close to walking on the bottoms.
There IS one pretty major issue- I wear size 18/20 on all brands, types of pants for years. Jeans, dress pants, casual, even 1pc dresses can’t be any smaller. I can’t ever find pants that fit-my hips are much smaller than waist & muffin top 😆
Ordered these in 18w, fit well maybe little loose which really made me happy. Yet did feel nice & supported too. Well within< 5 min walking around house, they suddenly fell completely to floor while mid stride. They’d already stretched out just to accommodate any movements.
Okay, so ordered 16 reluctantly- haven’t worn 16 in a verrrryy long time. Kept the 18 just in case. They came, put them on- felt perfect. Little snug to zip up but fine. This time added belt, went out to concert. Stood up from seat after concert-even w/ belt, jeans almost fell right off. Had to hold up until finally home. They had stretched out that much just sitting in them.
Took deep breath, ordered 14. Never thought I’d get on. Laid down flat as can, bf had to pull zipper up, I couldn’t. He struggled for good 5min; finally got it. Still didn’t trust- wore belt.
We went out for breakfast, then stopped at stores. By beg. of 1st store- jeans again completely stretched out & I needed to find restroom to tighten belt again. Once home- jeans wouldn’t stay up w/o tight belt.
I LOVE being able to see my jean tag w/ a sz haven’t had in decades! Still can’t believe it.
BUT- they’re a good couple sizes smaller than my norm. Even then- strongly suggest a belt.

As always, the BEST jeans ever!!!!! Especially for “mature” women’s bodies. The GV Amanda jeans are comfortable and stylish. The waistband is WHERE IT BELONGS—at the natural waist. The fabric is good quality with a hint of stretch. The legs don’t constrict your circulation but they aren’t baggy. Once I discovered these another brand of jeans have never been on my body. A big word of caution if there is spandex in them (look at the label): These jeans wash great. HOWEVER!!!!! Hang to dry or dryer dry only to damp to tumble the wrinkles out. If spandex is dried too long in a heated cycle, it will eventually bubble. Your jeans may tolerate a few drying cycles but one day you will pull them out and say “oh,……”.

The pants were listed as having a tapered leg, they seem to be more like a straight or even wide leg. I ordered a pair in Scottsdale and Hazelnut. I’ll be returning the ones I didn’t wear and having the other hemmed.

I’ve been buying this exact jean for over 10 years (usually at Kohls). I wear them to work and they are always a good fit and flattering. I saw these on Amazon for only $20 and decided to get a few pairs. Something has changed with them. They fit fine in the waist and rear end is fitted fine, but legs are straight and not tapered and really wide and baggy and very long. They are not at all like previous versions. They are supposed to be “slimming”, but very baggy legs are not flattering and look dumpy, short and squat.

These vintage white jeans are a great addition to anyone’s summer wardrobe. I originally purchased the regular length but I returned them for the short length just so they stop closer to my ankle, rather than going past my shoe. They look great with all of my summer blouses. I’ve worn GV jeans since they first came out. They always fit me perfectly. I stopped wearing blue jeans as I got older, but decided to go back recently and get jeans in different colors because they are comfortable and easy to iron. I wondered if they would still fit me–and they do! They stretch slightly, and they have always been durable. It was almost fine in the waist as far as circumferemce but it had extra, and the jeans are made of a soft stretchy material so if they were already baggy, then by the end of the day I’m sure they would have been worse. If they got a little bigger while fitting snug at the beginning of the day or if they started out fitting just right, then it wouldn’t be an issue. Being these are already ridiculously big, I have to return them. If I wore them like this, it means they would appear to add on weight.
It had extra room in the hips and too much room for me in the bottom and a ridiculous amount of extra room in the legs starting in the upper thighs to the point of being baggy and I do in general like length in pants for taller shoes but this was too much. I was afraid by the look of the model in the picture they would be too short. I was wrong. She is not my height and is much taller. “Short” pants did not make up for it. Maybe the next size or two down would. I don’t know how many exchanges I will need to do.
I wish they would be more clear on whether people like me should get petite or short. I was under the impression that petite was more of a thinner build and not necessarily based on the length. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to wear a 16 but in a petite? I don’t want to keep sending pants back and forth. Maybe I’m a 14 short? Maybe the pants vary from pair to pair within the same brand, style, and size just like other brands in the stores do? I know in another brand I wear a size 12 short and they fit just like they were made for me, but I went on what the size chart for Gloria Vanderbuilt had when I ordered these. I’m still confused on what they call short and petite and why I can’t have a petite short. If you can figure out your size or you luck out, get them! Maybe my body is just odd, lol.
I’m knocking down a star just for how confusing the size chart is with the lack of communication about the difference between short and petite and not being able to choose both though they are listed in the two categories.

I keep trying out different jeans because I’ve been wearing this brand for at least 20 years, if not longer. Yet I keep coming back because they just fit! I’ve worn all their sizes from currently a six, to plus sizes 24 and they always got. Great comfort, quality and quite inexpensive for jeans. I used to buy them at Kohl’s but Amazon has better pricing and size selection. Highly, highly recommend
