Based on the size chart, I should’ve gotten between L and XL. I usually wear between size M and L and took a chance and got L. I’m so glad I did because they fit perfectly! The XL would’ve been too big, I think. I haven’t worn shorts in years because I never like how they fit. Either too short or too tight on my legs or too much muffin-top. But these are amazing! There is a good amount of stretch, but the L fits so well, the waistband doesn’t dig in at all.
The color is lighter than in the pictures, which I don’t think is a bad thing, but just wanted to mention it. The denim feels pretty soft and lightweight and I like the raw edges on the hem. The shorts aren’t too tight on my legs, which is nice. No thigh bulges!

These are really soft, but be careful I see them tearing easily. They’re super cute. The waist seems to be angled smaller, which is what I need. I got a size Small, and I usually wear a 2/4 Jean and a small in most clothing, these may be a little bit smaller because they say their small is a 4-6 so just keep that in mind. I have a 26 in waist, weigh 127, and have a 36 in bum. They’re not restricting at all. Great for any body type especially if you need more room for you booty. I love these. They’re super comfy and I’m not hot in them.

I followed the sizing instructions, but these shorts run small. There is very little give and they are shorter in length than described. I am 5’4″ and typically wear a 6 or 8 but the Medium were too tight for me. I recommend that you size up and just be aware that they may be a little shorter in length.

I only wear high-waisted shorts, and for some reason I’ve had a really hard time finding black ones so I was excited about these. I usually wear a size 6 in styles like this, so I went with the medium and they fit perfectly! There’s quite a bit of stretch to them – I can comfortably sit down and eat a large meal without feeling like I’m going to bust out of them, lol, but they’re not so stretchy that they’re falling down by the end of the day. I’m 5’2″ and they come down to a bit below mid-thigh on me, so they’re longer than most of my other shorts but don’t look goofy.
The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the heavy dye smell that is still present after 3 washes. I’ll admit, I machine washed these in cold and dried them on low each time as opposed to hand washing/line drying, but I haven’t experienced any shrinkage or other issues. It’s just surprising that the smell is still lingering. I’m still going to wear them (and currently am, coincidentally) but I’m going to try out one of the hacks I found online to eliminate the odor.

I am obsessed with these shorts. Shorts that don’t crawl up and show everyone everything are far and few nowadays, so if you are looking for shorts with a good length that hit mid quad, these are for you.
I am 5’4 and 170lbs and the large fits me nicely with room to spare. These are really stretchy so I feel like you could size down, or just dry them and they will fit fine. They have REAL pockets as well on both the front and back and a cute fray to the bottom of the shorts. Overall, these are stretchy, a great color, and have real pockets, so they are a 10/10 on my list.
These are also button/zip shorts (not fully button).

i got these for my daughter who tells me this style of shorts is quite trendy as of now, and possibly for the next whole 5 minutes. She really liked them. They fit her well in her size, and she likes the stretch in the denim fabric. I’m just happy that booty shorts aren’t trendy anymore. For now.

Nice and stretchy denim. They fit true to size. I wish the pockets were more hidden and you couldn’t see the flap from the rip on the leg. However this doesn’t really detract from the style and comfort level.

For reference I’m 5’7 approximately 155lbs, I have a huge buttocks and thick hips and thighs. I love the stonewashed look these have, it reminds me of my childhood! I love them! Highly recommend!

I’m pretty sure these are bigger on the inside. When i pulled them out of the package, my first thought was that there was no way i would get my entire backside into these. Maybe half a thigh. I tried them on anyhow, and to my shock, they not only fit, they are also comfortable! I wouldn’t say they were roomy, and they’re a snug fit without being binding, so if you’re looking for sloppy-comfy-roomy, you’ll actually need to go a whole two sizes up. I’m 5’4″, about 138, and i got a large, which fit very well.

I really liked these shorts in the beginning. I received them out of their package, but had to wash them immediately because the smell was very strong, almost like a chemical smell.
After washing them, they looked noticeably small. Hoping I can wash them again and stretch them out a bit while they are still wet, because I do love the look of them.

These are hands down my new favorite shorts.
They fit true to size, feel super comfortable (not stiff like most denim), and are really flattering without being too tight.
Easy everyday pair that goes with everything — I’ve already worn them multiple times.

Edit to add: I knocked off another star due to the chemical smell since a regular wash didn’t remove it. If another good wash doesn’t get it out I won’t be keeping these..
I like these pretty well. They are true to size and nicely stretchy but not too stretchy. The style is really cute and the fit was comfortable. The button-fly took me back to my 90s childhood. The buttonholes were right and fiddly but I imagine they will perform better with time.
They smelled really funky straight out of the package which is never nice.
The packaging was very minimal, which is always fine by me with clothing that isn’t delicate.
