Good quality and nice to wear.

  2. Krista S.

I was on the hunt for a soft, thin denim shirt that was not so stiff like some denim shirts can be.
I found this one and took a chance, and I am glad that I did!
This shirt is so soft and cute! I am glad that I bought it.
I am 5’4, around 190 pounds and the XL was the right fit for me. I am a bit more broad in the shoulders so I did not want it to be tight in the shoulders/arms.
This is also a great length where I could wear it with leggings if I wanted to, and it would cover my butt. It is light, so I wouldn’t wear it for warmth but it is super cute and there are so many different ways to wear a denim shirt like this!

I was really happy when I got the shirt at my door. The shirt was beautifully sewn, stitching was awesome not one loose thread! Not an open seam, buttons securely fastened to shirt, the colors, one brown & one blue are spot on with the colors shown. I love that they are made of 100% cotton, so imagine needs to be washed in cold water & air dried. Fits great w/still a little room to spare. That’s what I prefer but I’m petite, larger busted 34DD, 5’2″, 120lbs or less with no shoulders to hold up the extra 2-3″ of material unnecessary for me in the Small size! So I ordered an XS in the above-mentioned brown & blue shirts & they fit fantastic. I had initially been concerned over China sizes, they’ve run LARGER on me! I think if you stick with what you normally wear, maybe the fit is between fitted and comfy, if that helps.
Love the way these shirts look. During hot days, I got use to wearing long sleeved, button up shirts with sports bra underneath. Leave the shirt open except for buttons near to waist open to flow in the breeze (Florida). Slap on some boots and belt up my Levi’s to wear blouse opened, but for the few buttons. I want to tell you when I wore same type of outfit, oh my gosh, did I get compliments? Uh Yep, even a chick that was in passenger side of truck called out, “Hey gorgeous! You look terrific! Come here for a sec, please?” Her husband/boyfriend came up about then, whew. She’d gotten a piece of paper to get my number!! I am dead serious. It continued at Lowes’. Oh & I couldn’t nor would I make these bold statements up. haha! The rep @ register began announcing his every action, “I’m closing the register.” “I’m now off the clock.” Began complimenting me, personally & then on mode of dress… I guess you stay with what you’re comfortable wearing. My Florida Cowgirl casual accessories is what I am most comfortable in & it must show as that is when I get most compliments. It must surely be true about you wearing your clothes not clothes wearing you. I now know what I “wear” effects how I “feel” in my clothes. Maybe I’m onto something here or it’s onto me? Ya’ll check it out for yourself and see if I’m not right…

I got a 2; Chest is big. It measures 50 inches . The sleeves are a little long and cuff is wider than I have had before. I will wear rolled any way. I am hoping it will shrink a little after it’s washed. Great color and buttons are a heavy plastic. Not bad at all. No smell. Let’s see if this one lives beyond 20+ years like my current. 😃

  5. Dee Em

I really like this denim shirt but be aware that the denim is very thin. It’s exactly what I wanted specifically for the summer. Being this thin, I would only hand wash it. I think it could easily wear down quickly and tear or get holes if you wash it in the machine. There is no stretch. It also runs a tad small. I’m 5’4″, about 145 lb, 34C-D and usually wear a M in tops. I wanted it to be slightly oversized, so I ordered the L. It fits more like a M. Unfortunately, the price has gone up almost $10 since I ordered this, so I’ll have to decide if I want to return because I wanted the L and I won’t pay more.

  6. CWP

This is a nice-looking shirt. The distressed fade is exactly what I wanted, and it is 100% cotton. It is not, however, true denim. It’s not the right weight or weave to be actual denim. I don’t care, in fact, I like the lighter weight, but if you want a true denim shirt, this isn’t it. Also, it runs SMALL. I’d normally get a woman’s medium and expect that to be roomy, but based on other reviews, and comments about shrinkage, I bought a large. Good thing! It’s just right, but I won’t dry it in the dryer. If it shrinks, it’ll be too small.

Someone made a comment about this shirt being “tall-person friendly,” and I want to say that’s marginal. It’s certainly not the long-tailed shirt I expected based on that comment (and photos with the model). I’m 5’8″ and if this shirt shrunk up on me, I’d be dissatisfied with it.

Finally, it wrinkles badly, even for cotton. Even if you toss it in the dryer, then pull it out while it’s still damp, you will either have to be okay with it, or iron. I chose to damp iron it, and that’s what I’d recommend.

I like the shirt a lot, and will definitely wear it. It’s the look I wanted and so it’s worth the extra labor at washing. But I gave it only three stars on account of the sizing issues and mostly because, unlike other cotton shirts I own, I have to iron it straight out of the washer.

  7. J. Bradford

Nice, light button down shirt. Im tall with broad shoulders and long arms. These sleeve actually fit me. The fabric is soft but holds it shape and launders nicely.

  8. Jeffery

Okay, this shirt was a surprise order for my wife. She loves it! It is very flattering on her. I won some big husband points on this one!

  9. Tracy B

La tela es suave y el diseño es lindo

  10. Jamme Abendroth

I purchased a size medium. I am 36DD. The color of the shirt is as shown in the picture. A dark denim blue with some discoloration to show some age. The material is a good quality not too heavy but not too light either. I wish I would have sized down as it was a little bigger than I had hoped and was a little bulky when tucked in. The sleeves don’t taper down much towards the cuff. I rolled the sleeves anyways and so this was not an issue. I washed and hung to dry so I cannot speak to if it will shirk or not. Overall a good shirt for the price.

  11. Tricia

Runs a bit on the small side but I love this shirt! Washed beautifully. No ironing needed. Washed on cold and put in dryer for a few minutes then hung to dry. Buy it!

  14. Amazon Customer

Ordered sizes medium and large in Helium Blue. The fabric, labelled 100% cotton, is a soft, lightweight woven, no stretch, dyed a subtly distressed light blue. Button placement good – no significant gaping across chest. Able to nicely turn cuff sleeves up twice. Didn’t want brown buttons, but can replace those. So far so good !

But then the sizing issues. Actual measurements of the Large (14-16) shirt: Chest 42″, waist about 43″, length from HPS 27.5″, width from top of one shoulder seam to the other 16″, sleeve from neck seam 28″, neck band 19″. Actual shirt measurements of the Medium (10-12) were the basically the same (What?!), except for shoulder and chest only 1/2″ smaller, and neck 1″ smaller at 18″.

So both sizes measured nearly the same, and while the body of both is relaxed, the shoulders are not. And the neck is huge on both sizes (Compared it to L.L. Bean size medium relaxed fit button-down shirt with a neck band at 16.25″).
I’m returning both sizes due to the over-sized neck. Do I dare try a size small?

Also be aware that the care label says do not tumble dry and only use cool iron (will that get the many wrinkles out?). So not easy care. Still, if the neck fit was close to reasonable on the next size “down,” I’d be tempted to get 3 more colors.

*For reference, the body I’m trying to fit is 5’5″, 135#, chest 38″, a waist (sort of), hip 38″.

  15. Karyle A. Woods

Love this cotton shirt, does need to be ironed & runs somewhat small, I had to size up to an XL. Bought both a pink & black one, waited for the price to come down. I wear these like a jacket over my cotton tee shirts. Fabric not too thin or thick, may buy a white one. 🙂

I was really happy when I got the shirt at my door. You know how you always hope that it will be the “one” to change you? I mean change, in the way it makes you feel. It’s an inward flash, a “mind moment” alert, so clear. You re-experience how you “felt” at that first moment, the first time you saw yourself dressed as you felt, comfortable, confident, just good. That’s what I was always hoping to find decades later.
Some of you surely have your own reasons or moments for choosing clothing. I think we are always searching for that “magical” item, I did. I was hoping to revisit my old friend.
The first reaction upon seeing the shirts was how beautifully sewn they were, meticulous stitching usually only seen in your expensive, most choice, Cinderella regalia. Not a loose thread! Not an open seam, buttons securely fastened to shirt, the colors, one brown & one blue are spot on with the colors shown. Yes, they can have a somewhat faded, aged look. I liked it, it was random and looked natural. I love that they are made of 100% cotton, they are terrific in hot weather, they are like an auto pilot fabric, cool in heat & if cold, throw on an under shirt or jacket.

*** Later found out just wash it and throw in dryer! Just do not use laundry boosters, the powders, they WILL fade the shirt in ways you’d see if bleach hit it, bad. Otherwise, it comes out no wrinkles. If while wearing, it gets wrinkled, I spray it with equal mix of alcohol, water and fabric softer, hang up near draft, fan, air dries in few minutes and no wrinkles!***

Fits great w/still a little room to spare. That’s what I prefer but I’m petite, larger busted 34DD, 5’2″, 120lbs or less with no shoulders to hold up the extra 2-3″ of material unnecessary for me in the Small size! I had initially been concerned over China sizes, they’ve run LARGER on me! I think if you stick with what you normally wear, maybe the fit is between fitted and comfy, if that helps. This is the first item from China that equaled items in our most upscale stores in quality, looks, the feel physically and psychologically! The sizing seems to be much closer to correct US sizing, who knew?
Just love these shirts for their functionality on all levels. During hot days, I got use to wearing long sleeved, button up shirts with sports bra underneath. Leave the shirt open except for buttons near to waist open to flow in the breeze (Florida). Slap on some boots and belt up my Levi’s or Wranglers (guys, they fit better). Throw on my shirt, leaving it opened, but for last few buttons, can’t forget hat! I want to tell you when I wore same type of outfit, oh my gosh, did I get compliments? Uh Yep, even a chick that was in passenger side of truck called out, “Hey gorgeous! You look terrific! Come here for a sec, please?” Her husband came up then, thank goodness, she had just gotten a paper out.
I continued to Lowes’. (Oh & I couldn’t nor would I make these bold statements up. haha! )

** To date, I have been stopped and complimented on the way I look every single time. I guess you stay with what you’re comfortable wearing. My Florida Cowgirl casual accessories is what I found is my magic outfit from horses throughout my youth, training, riding & showing quarter horses. **

This seems to be when all the compliments occur, must surely be true about you wearing your clothes not clothes wearing you. I now know what I “wear” effects how I “feel” in my clothes. Maybe I’m onto something here or it’s onto me? Ya’ll check it out for yourself and see if I’m not right.

  20. Debra Jenifer

Runs very small but nice shirt

  21. Tricia

This shirt looks great in the dark color, just runs slightly small across 36D, so size up from medium to large & wash cold no dryer. Go up2 sizes for loose fit.

  22. Madyson

Runs a bit on the small side but I love this shirt! Washed beautifully. No ironing needed. Washed on cold and put in dryer for a few minutes then hung to dry. Buy it!

  25. Lacey Clemens

Nice cotton blouse, soft and breathable.

The cut and style is nice. Not a ton of stretch.

Fit is tighter than expected in XL—recommend sizing up. But that could also be due to me liking things to be a bit loose.

A bit pricey for a basic top. The price feels a bit high compared to similar cotton tops.

  26. Nina

I hardly ever write reviews. But when a product is better than expected, I gotta let people know. I absolutely love this button down shirt. The quality is very very good. You would find this kind of quality in a high end department store. 100% cotton, so no stretch. Very flattering cut.
I am 5’4″, 160 lbs and usually a size 12 in tops. I ordered this top in XL and it fits the way I like tops to fit – not too tight, not too short, JUST RIGHT. The light coral color is lovely and I’m placing another order in another color right now.

  27. Amazon Customer

Great shirt, really comfortable and well made with lots of detail like front flap pockets. I ordered a second in denim blue because this is so comfortable. A nice weight that breathes well and not too hot.

  28. Karyle A. Woods

  29. Mahjong

This is true to size for my mom. She needed a button down shirt for an extra layer since she tends to run cold, this is a great addition to her closet.

  30. Amazon Customer

Good quality and nice to wear.

  31. Amazon Customer

Comfy shirt. Pretty pink – slight acid wash over bust area. Material is breathable. Cute over all.
The fit is boxy- not a feminine fit.
Slightly Disappointed with the back of the shirt – it has a mid back pleat that bulks out.
    Overall cute comfy work shirt.

I was looking for a soft denim shirt that I could wear unbuttoned with a shirt underneath. This is not a jacket weight. It is light, soft to the skin, color did not wash out, and is perfect for me. I like to roll the sleeves up as I work. Plus, it has two buttoned pockets on the front which is always nice.

  34. Rita Dumonde

Great weight and color. Love the cut and sizing. Loose, but not boxy. The color is great with darker demin, leggings, skirts and shorts. It is so versatile. Softens with washing without compromising fabric or pilling. this was a great purchase for me

  35. BLG

Nice shirt that looks good & laundry well. Good quality.

  36. Nina

I recently purchased this blouse, and I have mixed feelings about it. Here is a breakdown of my experience:
    Material and Comfort
The material is thin, making it perfect for those hot days when you need something breathable and lightweight. It feels great against the skin and allows for good airflow, which is a huge plus in warm weather.
    Color and Softness
I absolutely love the color! It is vibrant and adds a nice pop to my wardrobe. The softness of the fabric is another highlight; it feels luxurious and comfortable throughout the day.
    Price Point
However, I must mention that I found it to be quite expensive. While I appreciate the quality, the price tag feels a bit steep for what you get, especially considering the thin material.
    Final Thoughts
Overall, if you are looking for a stylish and comfortable blouse that shines in hot weather, this could be a great addition to your collection. Just be prepared for the higher price!

Love this cotton shirt, does need to be ironed & runs somewhat small, I had to size up to an XL. Bought both a pink & black one, waited for the price to come down. I wear these like a jacket over my cotton tee shirts. Fabric not too thin or thick, may buy a white one. 🙂

Ok blouse but I wish it could be less boxy and big. I ordered the Small and it feels big. The material is not denim. But I will be keeping it and use it as a jacket instead of a blouse.

  55. Claire Z

Pricy for the quality however just some TLC and it looks great. Threw it in the dryer on steam refresh with reusable laundry balls and got the major wrinkles out. Then I ironed it and it looks great. I’m 5 feet tall 110 lbs purchased a small. It’s a bit big however it’s comfortable and so far so good.

Runs a bit on the small side but I love this shirt! Washed beautifully. No ironing needed. Washed on cold and put in dryer for a few minutes then hung to dry. Buy it!

Love this cotton shirt, does need to be ironed & runs somewhat small, I had to size up to an XL. Bought both a pink & black one, waited for the price to come down. I wear these like a jacket over my cotton tee shirts. Fabric not too thin or thick, may buy a white one. 🙂

Ok blouse but I wish it could be less boxy and big. I ordered the Small and it feels big. The material is not denim. But I will be keeping it and use it as a jacket instead of a blouse.

This a very nice shirt and it’s not to heavy . Perfect for layering over or under t-shirts and sweaters. The buttons are a reddish brown, although in the pictures they look brown. For me this was not an issue, but it is something you can’t tell in the pictures. It’s an shirt I will enjoy for years to come.

I ordered an xsmall- stone washed blue color. It fit great! Not boxy or too big. It has a pleat in the back that makes the fit more flattering. It’s hard to find a good extra small option in a standard button down shirt like this! I was truly surprised! I’m 120 lbs, 5’5 and usually an extra small at Ann Taylor/Loft. This was a great find and flattering! I ordered another 2 colors- black and brown! Only 4 star because the color I order did not match what I received. I’m keeping because the fit is so good! I also like the buttons color detail!

Great weight and color. Love the cut and sizing. Loose, but not boxy. The color is great with darker demin, leggings, skirts and shorts. It is so versatile. Softens with washing without compromising fabric or pilling. this was a great purchase for me
