Description
- FIT MATTERS; MEASURE FIRST – HIKERS Co.’s Hidden Suspenders are made for men of all sizes including big & tall. Order HIKERS in your size and easily tighten down by 2 full sizes for heavier loads. HIKERS are adjustable suspenders, with a rear belt loop hook that adjusts like a belt buckle. To find your size, simply measure over your shoulder from your center rear belt loop to your button fly. Watch our size guide video located on the left hand side, and scroll down to our size guide below.
- INVISIBLE BELT ALTERNATIVE – A perfect companion for untucked men’s shirts: the original HIKERS Hidden Suspenders are an invisible belt alternative that DON’T require you to wear your shirt tucked. Our button fly suspenders are made to be worn under your shirt as an undergarment. HIKERS remain concealed even under a t-shirt. Some folks wear HIKERS over a tucked tee and then layer up. Keep your pants up, and scrap the overly-cinched belt for good. Great for circulation below the belt line.
- UNTUCKED & RELAXED – HIKERS are a comfortable way to replace your belt for guys who go UNTUCKED. Relax & wear your pants loosely around your belly without worry of your pants falling down. HIKERS ultra-flat design is free from hair-pulling buckles against your chest, so nothing protrudes through your shirt. HIKERS Suspenders require a button closure. Snaps or slide-on closures won’t work with our front strap. Consider our UPFITTER Suspenders as an alternative for other closure types.
- HOW DO THEY WORK? – The HIKERS front strap attaches to your fly button and the rear hook connects to your rear belt loop. Unlike other one-size-fits-all suspenders, HIKERS are buckleless and made in your size to remain hidden under an untucked shirt. By using the rear belt loop hook attachment to tighten up, our unique, patented design eliminates the need for extra adjustment hardware on your chest, which means no lumps protruding through your shirt.
- COMFORTABLE & CONFIDENT – With just two straps to hook up, they’re quick on and off. No need to disrobe in the restroom, nor while cruising through TSA. Soft 1.5 inch elastic straps stay on your shoulders. HIKERS never come undone unintentionally. It requires two hands to unfasten our proprietary rear hook. The front military-spec strap is sandwiched inside your button fly – so it stays put.

Been looking for something for ages as I have a comfy pair of jeans that are a few sizes too big for me, but I rather that for work as I do a lot of bending and lifting boxes.
Make sure you follow the measurement instructions properly and this will fit great.
They are comfy, easy to put on and take off, and do a great job of keeping my jeans in place. Don’t even need a normal belt with them now.

They are so great that I had to order a second pair for myself as I never wanted to be with out a pair of then. They are wonderful!

Suspenders. Yikes! I feel rediculous even saying it, but the status quo was unacceptable. I have a round figure and everytime I get up I had to pull my pants up. When I would life something or carry something, I ran the risk of my pants falling unless I was careful about how I moved. You get used to it. You learn to be careful. I didn’t even realize how much of my mental focus went into that until i started wearing Hikers.
The benefits were immediate and extraordinary, even though I ordered one that was too large for me because I just assume I should get large versions of everything and didn’t bother measuring. So these are not as perfect as they could be, but they are still a massive improvement. You know those reactions men have on hair-growth commercials about how they feel younger and more confident, etc.? That’s how I feel while wearing these.
I used to be very careful about how I got out of my car, what I was carrying, how fast I would sit down or get up. I would even time getting up from a meeting so that others were not looking at me. Since I wear my shirt tucked out, pulling my pants up means exposing my stomach. No one wants to see that, but it’s better than the alternative. Now, that’s no longer an issue.
So not only am I more comfortable and confident, I’m much more mobile. Which makes sense — these things were made so that men can work and be active, right? Well, I definitely feel more active. I get out of my chair and go. I walk more briskly. I can carry more stuff in each trip when carrying things between rooms.
They do have some side effects that take a couple days to get use do, but those go away. There was a constant pressure on my shoulders the first couple days which, while not always noticeable, did seem to leave me more fatigued — like if you wear uncomfortable shoes or something. But I think it also develops some muscles in that area because now I barely notice at all.
Going to the bathroom was a bit of a trick, but I’ve figured it out now. (For me, the trick was to manipulate the belt loop around the hook while holding the hook steady, instead of the other way around.)
The Hikers seemed pricey to me when I bought them. Now, they seem like an incredible value. I should have done this years ago. They might even be useful if you’re trying to lose weight, as they allow you to more active and not be so cautious about limiting your mobility. Huge difference. Buy these. If you have even the slightest inkling you might benefit from these, it’s probably more true than you realize.
But measure them first, as the site recommends. If you don’t have a clothing-style measuring tape thingie, you can find one for $4-$6 here on Amazon, and if you’re a big guy, really you should have one of these tapes and watch a youtube video about how to take measurements because most of the clothing sold everywhere isn’t made for us and costs more — so it’s not good to just guess.

Update: This is still the best fitting pair of suspenders I’ve owned, however, I’ve had to remove a star because sadly, it’s true, the slit where it attached to the pants button wears out all too quickly. I’ve been able to extend wear time by punching another hole, but then they don’t fit exactly right. I wish they could figure out something to fix this flaw. I’ve had to repurchase these several times due to this problem – a replacement that should not needed to have happened so frequently, especially at this price point. I even tried a different style from the same company that used plastic hooks instead. But unfortunately a hook broke, so that’s not a good alternative. ***
Original review:
This is a great design, at least it works for me. Very comfortable, they don’t pull on my shoulders. I measured per instructions before ordering and the fit is perfect. I’ve read other reviews where some questioned the durability of the materials used for fastening but so far I’ve experienced no problems. Everything works great. Best of all I’m not having to constantly hitch up my pants. What a relief. Very satisfied.

I am 32 years old with very bad sciatica. After years of wearing a tight belt (aggitating my sciatica) I decided to give suspenders a try, and it was the best decision I could have made. These fit great, are very soft, and are unnoticeable under my shirts. My pants have never fit so great. I highly reccomend giving these a try. My only complaint would be that they took quite a while to ship, but once shipped they arrived within a few days.

I bought these hidden suspenders for my husband, who has a knack for constantly hiking his pants up. Well, these HIKERS truly live up to their name! 😂 Hubby loves them—they’re comfortable, keep his pants perfectly in place, and he can wear them under his shirt without feeling like he’s back in the 1920s. The design is brilliant; no bulky clips or awkward adjustments. It’s as if they were made for him! Highly recommend if you’ve got a pants-hiking pro in your life. These are a real game changer!

UPDATE ON REVIEW BELOW: I wrote the review below but have changed my opinion after using this product every day for about 11 months. The new bottom line is they are a great idea but not well executed. The button hole needs to be reinforced. The button hole has completely torn through which means my suspenders are now garbage – they can’t be repaired. At this price point, I don’t plan to buy another pair of these each year. Also, don’t believe the claim that the piece connected to your back belt loop will never come loose on it’s own. This has happened to me dozens of times. Once, the clip came completely off and was lost. To give you some context, I weigh 198 and am 6’0″ so, while I’m carrying 10 to 15 lbs. of extra weight, I am not so heavy that I’m putting extra stress on the suspenders. Also, I’m an office worker so there is very little bending, stretching, twisting, etc. in my daily work. It’s a great idea for a product but they need to keep refining the design before it’s worth buying these once a year. The cost is comparable to a belt and you wouldn’t buy a new belt every year would you?
PREVIOUS REVIEW:
Likes: They solve the problem. I no longer have to cinch my belt so tight that it becomes uncomfortable just to avoid constantly pulling my pants up throughout the day. They seem well designed, well made and are made of a material that I hope will not lose its elasticity too quickly. They’re easy to put on and off and really don’t take any more time than a belt once you get the hang of it. The freedom of not feeling cut in half by an overly cinched belt is worth the price. If the price seems high, just think of it as paying for the experience, not the product. It’s kind of like when you rent an umbrella at the beach. You’re not paying for the umbrella. You’re paying for the comfort of sitting in the shade. Measure twice like the video demonstrates and you shouldn’t have a problem. If you stand up straight while measuring from the middle of your pant’s button to the back belt loop, they should fit well. I noticed when I measured, I had a tendency to lean over to see the number on my measuring tape. Don’t. Stand up straight, put your finger on the tape at the front of your pant’s button to mark the correct measurement, and THEN read the measurement. They are also adjustable so there is a little wiggle room but mine fit perfectly right out of the package.
Dislikes: The only downside is that you must wear loose shirts unless you want the outline of the suspenders showing through the shirt. This isn’t a big problem for me because I own a lot of loose fitting shirts but there are some shirts I have that I avoid wearing with these suspenders because the suspenders are evident.
Bottom line: I will definitely buy again. It’s a relief not having to wear a super tight belt or pull my pants up many times throughout the day. I love the fact that I can wear suspenders without looking like I’m wearing suspenders. When I get older, maybe I’ll wear the full-on, traditional suspenders but this is a better and more fashionable choice for me right now.

I have a love-hate relationship with this product. I’m giving it four stars only because it does what it says it will… just not always very comfortably. First, the straps themselves are relatively comfortable at first, but if you’re going to be doing a lot of walking, they ride up and down on your back and shoulders and start to irritate the skin after a while. Also, if it’s hot or humid, expect to sweat under the straps. I also still need to wear a belt, or my pants hang funny with only these straps, due to the single point of contact on either side. Finally, and the worst thing about these, is that the black patches where the straps come together and then branch off onto the connecting straps have pointy edges that truly irritate (and hurt to some extent) my back. I had to wrap/glue-on some other soft fabric around these bindings to make wearing this contraption comfortable enough to tolerate. So yeah, it works well enough, but there needs to be some adjustments made to the comfort level.

These work, and they are pretty easy to put on, but I think it would be a bit of a hassle to have to use the restroom with these on. I assume you would unhooked it at the button and either let it hang around your neck or take it off, but then what would you do with it in a public restroom? Also, depending on how your setting or moving about, they are noticeable under the shirt, even under two layers and between two layers. If those issues don’t matter, they are comfortable and work well. I don’t know if I will wear them to work, but I plan ensuing them when I’m working in the yard and around the house. They are comfortable and do a great job of keeping your pants up.

These suspenders work wonders in keeping my husband’s trousers held securely in place. No more pant legs puddling at his feet. What a perfect way to hide suspenders while wearing stylish pants and shirts.

Great product. I am on my second group of these. I wear them everyday for work.

Spend some time to get the correct size. 5’11” (180cm) 195lbs 88K modestly long torso an narrow waist a bit of a belly went with size large. They are adjustable but take the time to measure. Have trouble with my belted trousers sliding down. Got sick of having to hike them up all the time, letting ride low was not a good look. Takes some mental training to get good at taking them off for a full sit-down potty run but it’s well worth it. Had them for about 7 months and the elastics are holding up to just about everyday use. Remember you can’t tuck in your outer shirt with these on. I also would not recommend wearing them directly against your skin like in the photo. Much more comfortable over a tee shirt. Got these in June easily held up my lederhose (lederhosen is the plural) and a heavy I-phone without stretching out. Washed cold water works great.

These are amazing. Keeps me from constantly having to pull my pants up

Love these! Recommended by my Chiropractor, this will be my 3rd set. Excellent Quality, Durable, He Recommended these in particular since they are under the shirt suspenders(Hidden). Medical benefit for these are that as any man with a lil gut, and no butt is that even with a belt, you are Constantly pulling up your pants at work, walking around etc. With these particular and most suspenders even if you wear no belt, these will keep your pants from drooping or dropping and you aren’t constantly tightening your belt, which puts pressure on your spine. The medical relief of this brand is in particular as a blue collar worker is that bending down, squatting, lifting, your back gets sore and irritated and these suspenders make not tightening your belt tighter everyday, all day, putting that extra pressure on your back and spine causing your back to hurt even worse than before, I would give these More than 5 stars if option was available….. Thank You Hikers Suspenders for easing the pain and discomfort. Derrick T, Blue collar over 40 plus years and still going, just a little slower now! LOL

Die Träger haben gehalten und waren einfach zu handlen. Mir waren sie zu elastisch und zu grob einstellbar. Außerdem waren die Träger mir zu nah am Hals und z.T. unter dem Hemdkragen sichtbar. Idee prima, Umsetzung mittel…

With the weight gained from working at home in this post-COVID world that we live in, I lost my natural waistline and my hips no longer keep my pants from falling down. I was looking for traditional suspenders (which I’d planned on wearing under my shirt) when I found these, which are designed expressly for that purpose. I’m wearing them today for the first time. Measure accurately per the instructions and you should get a good fit (men should be familiar with the “measure twice, cut once” logic of making sure the measurement is correct before proceeding).
I secured the back hook on the center belt loop on the back of my jeans, pulled up my pants, felt behind me for the front tab (made sure it was not twisted), pulled it over my head, secured on the button of my jeans and the mission was accomplished.
I’ve seen at least one review regarding the perceived problem with the suspenders stretching or a lack of durability in the elastic. The product has to stretch to do its job. And I appreciate the extra holes that adjust the back clip. Women who wear bras (should) know that you always start with the loosest setting and tighten up as the elasticity starts to fail. Men should be made aware of that concept.
I’ve also seen reviews from men who complain about having to deal with removing the contraption when faced with having to tend to certain bathroom necessities (“#2”). As a woman who is faced with having to pull down her pants for every bathroom visit, I’m not seeing a reason for any drama. Unhook the front tab from the button, pull down pants (which causes the front tab to ride up to rest at your throat), reach behind to pull the suspenders clear of the line of fire, do your business, pull up your pants, pull down the tab, button everything up and be done with it. That explanation is far more complex that the actual deed.
As far as construction goes, I can see where the front tab that loops onto the button may be the first thing to fail. And when I sit and the elastic relaxes, the “Y” where the elastic shoulder bands meet the front tab rides up and feels scratchy against my skin (when I stand up, this same “Y” rests against the front of my bra so I don’t feel it then). The suspenders would be more comfortable when sandwiched between an undershirt and the regular shirt. YMMV
Otherwise, the wide elastic bands are comfortable and the product does exactly what I need it to do: Keep my pants up.

These are inconspicuous and work well – no more pausing to pull up my jeans! My only complaint is that if people hug you (and I am a hugger) they can feel them there under my shirt and look at me a bit quizzingly – like I am wearing a back brace and they don’t want to hurt me. They do work as designed, but in social settings, I tend to not wear them.
Kristie Mcgraw –
Thank you so much. They work even better than I’d hoped. Completely worth the weight. I totally plan on buying at least one more. I thought they would irritate my skin but I forget I have them on.
Tom G –
Note these are made in China not the US. I am 6′ 4″ and 325 lbs . I have a long body, when I measured, I came out as 58 inches. These were the longest on the market so I gave them a try. The elastic has enough stretch so they can fit me but are a little tight. They are still comfortable and I don’t have to worry about my pants falling down. Would give them 5 stars if they were made in the US.
