  1. DH

I recently stumbled upon these Upfitter Suspenders, and folks, let me tell you, they’ve revolutionized the way I keep my pants up. These suspenders are like the superheroes of the fashion world – they’re made right here in the good ol’ USA, they’ve got a clip closure (no capes, though), and the best part? They’re machine washable. No more worrying about spaghetti sauce stains from that disastrous dinner date – just toss ’em in the washer, and they’re good as new.

Now, the instructions on how to measure your size are about as adjustable as a belt. You order these bad boys in your size, and you can tighten them down two whole sizes as needed. It’s like having a trusty sidekick who’s always ready to save the day (and your pants). They even have a video guide for the ultimate HIKERS fit – who knew suspenders could be so high-tech?

But here’s where the real magic happens – these suspenders are flexible and fitted. You can wear them over your shirt like a regular superhero, I mean, suspender-wearer, OR you can rock them under your shirt as an undercover undergarment. That’s right, folks, these suspenders are like the secret agents of the fashion world. They’ll keep your pants up without anyone even knowing they’re there. Say goodbye to bulky belts and metal clasps sticking out like a sore thumb.

Now, you might be wondering, “How the heck do these things work?” Well, it’s all in their simple, ultra-flat construction. Three fasteners attach to your belt loops, and that’s it. No clunky parts, no extra straps – just pure, unadulterated suspenders awesomeness. They’re adjustable, so you can accommodate different pants and pocket loads, and they’re a breeze to put on and take off. Plus, they won’t make your bathroom breaks feel like an episode of “Mission: Impossible.”

Comfort is key with these bad boys. The soft 1.5-inch elastic straps glide over your shoulders like a dream. No buckles to tug on your hair, and the adjustable rear hook is so flat and comfortable, you’ll forget it’s there. And here’s the kicker – these suspenders never come undone unintentionally. You’ll feel as secure as a secret agent on a top-secret mission.

In conclusion, Upfitter Suspenders are the unsung heroes of the fashion world. They’re comfortable, adjustable, and oh-so-convenient. Say goodbye to the belt struggles and hello to a world where your pants stay up, and you stay confident. These suspenders are the real deal, and they’ve earned a permanent spot in my wardrobe. So, folks, if you want to keep your pants up without the drama, Upfitter Suspenders are here to save the day – one clip at a time!

The clips are very versatile and a big improvement on the cheap copies

  3. T. Gulledge

Very disappointed with this product, required measurements are not the same. We took our time measuring our dad and once received they just would not stay up. I unfortunately disposed of the packaging so we can’t return. The build and materials are great but it’s just not for us.

I purchased this product for my father! I tried other suspenders which he had trouble with. Had trouble putting them on and had trouble taking them off and them sliding off his shoulders. I found this product online and worked so well I went and purchased a 2nd set. He needed no help putting them on and was easy for him to handle. They fit perfectly and they never slid off his shoulders. I would definitely recommend this product to friends and family. My father loves them and wears them every day!

  5. Alaskan Curmudgeon

These are pricey but very comfortable. I’m 68 and I have an old man body, which is to say, my butt seems to have disappeared. Belts don’t work if it’s a straight line from shoulders to ankles! I don’t wear these under my clothes, so I can’t speak to that use. But, I’m using them right now.

  6. s tracy

Be careful to order the correct size! If you use their chart and order the recommended size it will just barely fit and you will only be able to shorten them, not lengthen them. I ordered the recommended size and I’m on the very last hole adjustment making them as long as they can get. At first they were so snug they gave me a wedgie but they have loosened up a bit and are ok now. I should have ordered the next larger size. Any way, they are now somewhat comfortable, fit fairly properly, seem durable and I do use them all the time. So far so good. I’ve had them about two weeks.

I’ve been wearing them for several weeks and they do the job well but I would prefer TWO attachment points in both the front and back instead of just one in the back. I will keep using them though.

  7. Renee Rhoads

It is expensive, but it works much better than clip-on suspenders. I will submit another review later. The belt loop clips are made from a synthetic material, perhaps a type of plastic; not metal. I wondered about the durability of the clips, but so far so good. Perhaps they will last forever? That is my only question, so I will provide another review at a later date.

  8. Sonny

I recently bought a pair of suspenders, and I’m really enjoying them! They’re not only functional but also add a great touch to my outfits. The fit is comfortable, and they stay in place all day without slipping. The quality feels solid, and the adjustable straps make it easy to get the perfect fit. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend these suspenders to anyone looking for a stylish and practical accessory!

  9. Jennifer Jones

I really like how well these hold up the pants. You feel a good tension on the elastic without being too stiff or stretchy. I bought the green and found them to hide under my clothing relatively well, assuming nothing was see through like linen or sheer fabrics can be. The buckles attached to the belt loops works well and are easily taken off.

However, it’s hard to give it full praise.I’m bending and stooping down all day at work and the sewn part that makes up the Y has a tag with sharp edges that rubbed the skin raw. The picture shows this, though the redness shows where it rode to, not where it rested when standing, making a good 3-4 inches of difference… every bit of which was scraping along my back every time I bent down.

The sensation is tolerable for a couple hrs, but add a little bit of sweat and it feels like it’s cutting into you around 4-5hrs in. I couldn’t take it off as I had no belt to hold up my pants and they would just fall by walking.

The sizing is nice, the elastic feels good and durable. Not a fan of the tag or exposed sewing. Overall, it’s well made, but if this is made to be worn underneath shirts some more thoughtful design needs to be done. I did not like the runner strap. It added to the irritation and even before the irritation it was just annoying in how it always stuck to the skin.

Ultimately, I’ll keep these but will need an undershirt. Not ideal given that winter is coming, this makes it a tolerable adjustment. I was hoping it would perform better while active, sweating, etc.

My husband wears these and loves them. They hold up his jeans well and are a good quality. He does have multiple pairs so the elastic can rest. He loves that they are hidden underneath his t-shirts or button down shirts he doesn’t tuck into his pants. He also loves the that they have a hook that hooks onto his belt loops and he isn’t dependent on me to sew on a button!

  11. bruce Palus

I gave it a 3 because of the advertising. Its a great idea, it works, I have 2 pair. My only complaint is the “under shirt” thing. You do not want to wear these next to your skin. Where they are sewn is rough, irritating and itchy. They are not comfortable to wear unless you have a T shirt or something between you and your skin. I got them to wear under a t shirt, it doesn’t work. Again they do what they are made to do and do it well, which is keep your pants up without a belts but they are uncomfortable without something between you and the uplifter.

  12. M. McGaha

These suspenders have made my life SO MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE now that I own and wear them.

Wearing a belt is uncomfortable for me as I’m a big, overweight guy. I was experimenting with these suspenders to wear under my shirt as I typically wear t-shirts and button-down shirts untucked. I wear my Hikers between my undershirt and top shirt or on bare skin and they are very comfortable either way.
Going to the restroom can be a slight challenge if you want it to be, but you’ll figure out your favorite strategy. You can unhook them or just take off your overshirt and unsling yourself.
The plastic hooks are pretty durable under normal wear, but I broke my rear hook the other day bending over with a 30-lb backpack on to pick up some paper. I should’ve thought about it before I did it, as I now don’t think bending over with a backpack on is a good idea anyway. So this one’s on me and indiscretion.
I’m replacing these OD green ones with white ones since I think they’ll be less conspicuous between a white undershirt and an overshirt or without an undershirt since I’m a bit caucasian.
I wish there were a khaki version, though.
Really great, comfortable product. Highly recommended.

I had doubts about the single connection in the back but it works great. I tried some cheapo ones with two back connections and discovered some of my Levi jeans don’t have loops between the side and middle! The cheap ones were adjustable didn’t stay in place.

  14. Nolo Contendere

These suspenders are cleverly designed and work as described. The “Z” clips are flat and easy to attach, though a bit tricky to unattach. The suspender straps are elastic and the size adjustment part is. The size can be made smaller by shortening the back strap kind of like how you would adjust the size of a ball cap. I would note that you need to make sure the tab is inserted into one holes in the strap or it will slip. The holes appear to be spaced like the various sizes they sell. I bought a size larger because I wasn’t certain how the measuring would translate into sizes, but it seems accurate if you follow the instructions. T I find them a bit pricey compared to other suspenders I own, but they are functional and a good value. More ligh ttcolors would be good.

  15. Marek N.

  16. Red Dirt Driver

I wore them for the first time a couple days ago. Found them to be well made and look durable enough. They kept my hiking pants up making things more pleasant. They are adjustable, which helps since they were too long as delivered. I was able to get them to fix by using the adjustment buckle; pretty easy and straight forward. Only four stars because all of my hiking and wildlife photography pants have wide belt loops. The hooks provided to attach the suspenders to your belt loops are narrower than my belt loops. This caused me to have to reattach them several time during my last trip to the field. You really have to make sure the entire loop is in the slot and under the small retaining hook. I don’t think you’d have any problems with jeans but if you are using anything like a tactical pant with wide belt loops for hiking, hunting or serious wildlife photography then you might want to consider a different attachment mechanism.

FR too small, children’s size really

  18. Sasha N Moore

These suspenders do their job because they are well made and keep my pants up better than a belt. There are a couple of things that will not keep me from using them but still do not like. The plastic hooks rub on and fray the belt loop they are on. The single hook in the back can be uncomfortable if your pants do not have a center belt loop and you have to choose one that is off center. The triangular piece that attaches the two elastic front pieces to the singular rubber piece that attaches to the back loop is uncomfortable if worn directly on the skin. The material is a synthetic nylon with rough edges, which can kinda scratch my skin. The plastic hooks are kinda clunky and stiff and jam into my gut if worn without a shirt. Sometimes the hooks come off a loop when I am putting on my pants and I have to contort my body to rehook it. I know I’ve listed several thing I don’t like and that is because I have used button suspenders in the past and they were much more comfortable in general. However I don’t have button suspenders any more, didn’t want to sew buttons on all my pants, and thought I’d give these a try. I’ll keep them because they are much better than a belt and they seem to be crafted well.

  19. Owen J. McPhillips

Suspenders don’t come easier to use than these. Easy to attach to belt loops, a bit tricky to unhook until you get the hang of it. Comfortable, thin and stretchy. I suggest sizing down if your measurements are in between. The stitching on the junction piece in back is scratchy against bare skin, but unnoticeable through a shirt.

  20. Cindy

Very disappointed with this product, required measurements are not the same. We took our time measuring our dad and once received they just would not stay up. I unfortunately disposed of the packaging so we can’t return. The build and materials are great but it’s just not for us.

I had these suspenders for at least six months and never use them. I have wide leather suspenders that I use daily.

This past summer, I started using them with my bathing suit that had belt loops (odd I never noticed bathing suits had belt loops).

I was extremely impressed with the comfort and with their ability to keep my bathing suit attached and when done they dried quickly

When the bathing suit went in the washing machine, they did also and have not had any damage or failure

  22. Brad Atkinson

These suspenders really paid off for causal wear and light hiking. Well made, easy use.

  23. D. Martin

Top quality in material, design and construction which I paid for. I didn’t pay for the white on black advertising stuck on my back. Come on guys, show some class.

  24. Dave C

Ok, I’m pretty much the only guy I know who wears suspenders, but after being forced to wear them following surgery, I discovered how comfortable they are, and I’m never going back to a belt even though I now can. These hold up well through daily, active use. I use them over clothes as it facilitates the use of the bathroom. Maybe some stretching after a year’s use, but you can easily tighten them up with the rear clip. Bonus: about the only suspenders that lets you breeze through TSA at the airport with the plastic clips. I only wish they came in more colors.

  26. Amazon Customer

They fit true-to-size as listed. I ordered bigger-than-listed, since I was used to other suspenders that have no “give” to them. These are kind of springy and stretch, so I had to shorten them a bit. They work very well, and the best part is that the hooks actually stay in the belt loops, unlike “clips’ which always seem to loosen up. The only negative I can say is that I dont wear a T-shirt,, so they tend to slide off of my shoulders. I put a small piece of nylon belt keeper to keep them together. If worn over a shirt, they stay in place.

  27. J. Worth

These worked OK. Comfortable, but two issues. After 1½ years, they have stretched out at least 6 inches so no longer fit. Also, the clips that hold onto pants belt loops are open, so they often fall off. Just replaced with another brand that has spring-loaded clips.

  28. Jack Bauer

Theyre great for wearing under a shirt–surprisingly comfortable on your skin. And they can be worn outside a shirt too. They work great–the hooks through a belt loop are way stronger and more reliable than clasp style suspenders. Would be nice if you could adjust via the front straps on the fly insead of taking everything off and only adjusting the rear.

The only TINY complaints I have are that the hooks stay attached to the belt loops so well (by design) that they can be tough to get off when you want them off sometimes. And the center of your back where the straps all came together can be a bit itchy.

Updated – went from 2 to 4 stars:
For the heck of it, I flipped the straps over and surprisingly, it became more comfortable. While nothing is obviously different from one side compared to the other, it does make a difference when wearing them. It’s still not perfect because I can still feel that rectangle on me, but at least now it’s not also scratching me as it was. At least now I don’t have to return them.

    Previous review:
If you’re going to wear them over your clothes, then yes, this works just fine. The one I purchased says “hidden suspenders”, meaning you wear it under your clothes. Yeah, I don’t recommend doing that. The version I purchased has a rubber strap and where the rubber meets the cloth straps, there’s a rectangular box with rough edges so between the rubber strap rubbing and pulling at your skin, you also have this rectangular box constantly scratching you. It’s a torture device is what it is. I have a different “hidden” suspender that clips on to your waistband instead of hooking to your belt loop, and that one is far more comfortable. My only complaint is when having to sit to use the toilet, I have to unclip the back clips and those aren’t the easiest things to clip back on again, so I thought maybe hooks would be easier, but as it turns out, the hooks are not that much easier and definitely not worth all the skin pulling and scratching you have to live with for a slightly more convenient method of attachment.

My husband usually wears the hikers brand underneath his T-shirts and he decided to get some of these to wear on the outside of his shirts sometimes. He really likes him -all of the hikers brand that he gotten have lasted and have never broken. They are great quality and very durable. They are lightweight and not too thick and they hold great. He has never had an issue. He is a truck driver and he does not like wearing a belt because the belt cut into him sitting in the truck all day long. The hiker’s brand suspenders that fit under his T-shirts work perfect and so do the ones that fit over his shirts. I would highly recommend these to men who don’t want to wear a belt.

Great product for holding up your pants when carrying heavy items on your belt. Especially useful if you carry a firearm and experience the pants getting pulled down from the weight of your pistol. Makes carrying a heavy item such as a firearm much easier and more comfortable as the weight is distributed much more evenly. Give it try, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
