honestly these are some of the best fitting and well made jeans I have owned, I am A CHEAP person, and I look for the BEST prices so I tried the Wal-mart George brand, since they also offer a lot of sizes that you cant find in store, I am short and need a 35/29 good luck finding that on a rack. the wal mart jeans frey and rip , and are just cheap quaility , these are the second batch of Amazon basic Jeans that I have ordered and its only becasue they last ones have stains, they are still in good shape other then that. and they are also the most comfortable material you can imagine, I really love them , if you cant tell

These jeans fit true to size and have been a great value since purchasing them. The color has not faded after washing. They do come a little on the stiff side but after a few seatings they break in easily. Highly recommend.

These jeans fit like the proverbial glove in the waist / glute / thigh area, but I have genetically huge calf muscles (even without working them in the gym,) and the cut of these jeans is fairly tight from the knee downward. They’ll stretch with use of course, so I can still wear them, but if I were going to do a Rev B on these I’d take into account the fact that people who are gym rats will also work their calves. Which means a bit more circumferential span is needed there.
They don’t need much of a tweak – else you’d end up with lower legs are relaxed-fit-baggy – but maybe another inch in total circumference at the calf. When I bend down for something and stand back up, these ride up my calves and stick there, I’ve suddenly got the Pee-Wee Herman high-water style and have to pull them back down.
Not a big deal though. Again they *will* stretch, they are still an excellent fit, they’re inexpensive, they’re available in a solid, dark indigo dye – call me strange but I’m not enthused at the idea of buying jeans that look like they’ve been pre-worn for six months by a garage mechanic with a serious incontinence problem. If there’s some kind of perceived stylishness in jeans that are visibly worn, buying them pre-stressed is as lame as buying a guitar with the paint pre-worn. Like “Oh, dig ME, I’ve used these so intensely that the paint is worn off. Except… umm, not really.” No. Just… no. Best of all these are available in 28″ length on 32″ waist, which eliminates a big peeve of mine vis-à-vis jeans:
Manufacturers sell pants based on waist vs. inseam measurements, and while the waist measurement is a definite thing, the inseam is not. Tailors typically measure your inseam from the point of direct contact with your groin down to your foot. So think about it, or better yet just stand up right now and check this out: When you’re standing, whatever pants you’re wearing do *not* magically stay snugged right up to your Naughty Bits. Rather, the actual cross-seam where the inseam starts will generally hang at least an inch or two *below* the actual, physical surface of your body from which the inseam gets measured.
Which means – sur-vey SEZ? – your pants are too long, and you’re going to be walking around on top of that last inch of cuff, cursing the fact with every step. Unless you go to the expense and hassle of having them altered after the fact. So… a selection of inseam dimensions that actually matches people’s true pant-leg length! Amazing!
I’m writing this before having done a wash and with only a day’s wear, so I can’t comment on how durable the dye is. But at least it’s at an intense, deep blue as a starting point – and assuming the dye is of decent quality that’s the best you can ask for.

I bought a pair of these sweatpants for my husband for Christmas last year and he loved them so much I bought him two more pairs in different colors. They are heavy, comfy, and so soft and warm. He’s always cold and we live in Ohio so our winters can be frigid. He says these are the best sweats he’s ever owned and the price was exceptional! BUT, suddenly the price increased $7 per pair and while they’re still worth it, I’m disappointed at the price increase and haven’t purchased anymore since. They wash up great. No pilling, stretching, and they look new a year later (and he lives in them) so the quality is worth the price but they’re not the deal they used to be. I paid $8.99 per pair and last I checked they were $16 per pair. That’s a drastic increase. Amazon sweats really are the best though and I highly recommend them. Have loose ankles, not baggy but not tight, and deep pockets. They look very nice, not sloppy. Can wear out, at home, or as pajamas. Recommend.

True to size and look great on my son. I was hesitant to buy pants online, but these worked out wonderfully. No issues with fit whatsoever and I found them to be a good price and value for the money. I am writing this review months after I bought them because I wanted to see if they held up in the wash and I am happy to report that after many washes, they still look great.

I must apologize; I bought these jeans at the same time I bought the slim fit jeans by Amazon. I got confused as to which pair was which, the negative review I left for the athletic fit jeans was intended for the slim fit variant. Updated review for the athletic fit is below.
These are a fantastic pair of jeans! From quality of material, to fit, to appearance I like them from top to bottom.
The material is constructed of a beautifully stretchy material that moves with my body just how I need it to. I have gone through weight swings in the last year and these jeans have kept up just fine. They are breathable, as far as jeans go, very comfortable and they sit well on my waist. I am a big fan of stretchy jean material and Amazon has really hit their stride with this jean.
Comfort aside, I think the jeans look great too. When I wear them, I feel like I look good in them, what more do you want? The colours are nice and solid, they have been through numerous washes and show no signs of fading, tearing, separating. They will have a significant bleed of blue when you first get them, even after the initial wash on receipt I found that my hands were consistently blue when wearing them that first time. After a second wash, the bleed was completely gone. If you wear white shoes, be aware that these will leave a blue stain on them if you do not double wash.
I work in a chemical environment, and I don’t hesitate to wear these jeans at work. Like any other denim, certain chemicals will make short work of the material, but these jeans have held up as well as any other pair that I own. At such a good price, I don’t feel guilty about wearing them in a harsh environment and potentially ruining them, at least I’ll look good doing it!
Value for the money is definitely there, the quality:cost of these jeans is a great balance.
I am a fan of these jeans and there are already several more pairs in my dresser!

These pants are comfortable, are true to size, and look as they are shown in the product photos. That said, from day 1 they have a weird chemical smell coming from them that is similar to the smell of mothballs. I’ve washed them 8 times now. I’ve tried washing them with white vinegar and with baking soda but the smell still exists. Whyyyyyyyyyy?!

These are great pants. After the first pair came ripped and I had to send them back I got another pair and they were great.
They fit well and are perfect for everyday wear and look and feel comfortable for a night out.

I bought a pair of these jeans, liked them really well, so I bought four more. Now three months later I’m really disappointed. One pair just split out for no reason after being worn maybe 10 times at most. ( see photos). I will update if the others do likewise.

Granted, the legs are baggier than I expected, crotch is lower than I expected, making me look shorter than I actually am. I look like a d*mn Munchkin from the Lollipop Guild! All I need is a tank of helium to suck on so I could dance & sing the Lollipop Guild song.
I probably should have gotten the 40×32 waist size instead of the 42×32, but I’ll still make it work. Being older, my metabolism has slowed down. Combined with my roommate’s delicious cooking that has put a little weight on me over the years, I’d rather have a little extra room than not enough. Better safe than sorry. This tall munchkin will grow into them.
They still fit well, they’re comfortable & I’m able to walk around in them just fine, so no complaints here. Definitely worth the price.

These Amazon Basics men’s jeans fit my husband absolutely amazing! For those who have big and tall husbands, you know how difficult it can be to find clothing that fits well. I was pleasantly surprised that Amazon Basics offers a line that truly accommodates big and tall sizes.
I bought these jeans for my husband, and they look incredible on him. They don’t look cheap at all — they look premium, stylish, and very well made. He also said they’re extremely comfortable, which is a huge win.

They fit and look great but the blue dye is a problem. I’ve washed the jeans twice and the dye is still coming out. I don’t know when the dye will come down to a normal level but I don’t want my furniture to turn blue. I won’t buy them again.

Excellent product, fit is perfect, diminsions are as advertised, well worth the money. CAUTION: BE SURE YOU REMOVE TAGS AND WASH JEANS BEFORE WEAR, they will initially bleed when wet, as in rain. Once washed no futher issue. On the fashion side, either trim the tags or be sure they are tucked in as they are extremely long and can showabove belt line.

I liked the soft denim, it was like I used a lot of fabric softener! My complaint about these jeans involves the fit. I thought “Athletic-Fit” meant they would be somewhat form fitting. I was wrong, they are actually quite a baggy fit. I guess the marketing guys meant that you could do a workout in these jeans and never feel constricted! LOL

This is the first review I have ever written after hundreds of Amazon purchases. Why write one now? Because these are perfect jeans for me. I can get them in 28” length. I don’t need to waste extra money to shorten them. Great amount of stretch. Waist band is stretchy without being heavy like Lee’s and others. The denim has a nice soft feel. Unusual for denim. Love the athletic fit that sits at the waist but tapers. To get jeans that are not wide at the leg opening in the past I have bought slim tapered jeans of various brands but they are ALL below the waist and constantly ride down, very frustrating! These stay put. I even wear them frequently without a belt! Super comfortable without being baggy. Before getting these, out of frustration, I bought a super pricey pair of jeans from Nordstroms for $150!!! Those are not as comfortable and now I feel like a total dope. Lesson learned. Ignore the bad reviews. Do not ever overpay! Buy these, look good, feel good and smile all the way to the bank. P.S. they wash up just fine with no noticeable shrinkage.
