I like carrying various gear in pockets instead of my pack while hiking. Phone, camera lens adapters, snacks, etc. This vest is really good for those spring and fall hikes in Texas. LOTS of pockets, material is thick enough to give light protection against bugs and plants, but not so heavy it fails to breathe.
Pockets are decently stitched and roomy, capable of holding even larger handheld radios, paracord, and small equipment with ease. The zippers work great. I do like that 2 of the interior pockets open vertically, allow ease of access.
I would not recommend this vest for colder weather, as it would provide virtually no insulation at all against the cold.
Overall, decent price for a decent light vest.

I’m 6’ 230, and this fit great. I can bring my phone, little hotspot, charging wires, and a couple dog treats when I’m out and about. Just going to wax the zippers, because I always do. Seems like a good value so far. Only gave it 4 stars because I haven’t used it that much, and don’t know how it’ll hold up. Seems very well made though.

This vest does run small, like most of the reviews suggested. I ordered a 2XL when I normally wear an XL. It fit OK but I returned it because the color was incorrect. I ordered the beige color and what I received was decidedly greenish. It was closer to olive drab and I already have an olive drab vest. I did not reorder this vest because, while it has lots of pockets, the pockets are not very deep. Also, the zipper is on the wrong side for men. Not a big deal but it should be noted. If the color was correct I might have kept it.

I love wearing a multi-pocket vest. It carries everything I need and use without the need for a cross body bag. I started doing this during a trip to Paris when my waist bag buckle broke rendering it useless. Saw the vest in a shop window and it solved my personal carrying problems.
It takes my slim wallet, pad, pen and my passport. Also fillm rolls before the advent of mini digital cameras which it easily carries as well.
The Gihuo from Amazon is by far the best design I’ve come across in two decades. The front vertical zip very deep pocket holds my passport making it nearly impossible to steal by skilled pickpockets.
The fit is perfect and the cotton poly fabric is all season capable.
12 pockets hold everything including my phone securely.
I hang my glasses from one of the D rings towards the top of the vest for easy access.
Well made and true fit make this an outstanding part of my daily wear. Once you use a vest it will become part of your daily casual wear.

My review is on the perceived quality of this vest. I’ve yet to get rough with it, and I will. With that said, I examined all the stitching and all is in order. I’m rather fussy about how clothing is stitched and have returned items for that reason, poor stitching. No worries with this vest. Stitching is consistent, neat and tight.
Pockets: five Velcro closed pockets, five zipper closed pockets. There are also two easy access pockets on either side if you want to warm up your hands quickly or grab your Carmex etc. It’s evident to me, great thought was put into the arrangement of TEN pockets on the front of the vest. All of them are easy to get to and open/close and each pocket is placed in an area where it can serve a purpose without crowding other pockets.
The only thing that I found unusual is the fact that the zipper is a left zipper, like one might find on a woman’s coat. That feature I’m not crazy about but I can deal with it. I’m more than happy with this vest, I’m thrilled! The quality seems better than expected and the lightweight, breathable fabric will allow me to sit in the warm sun without baking.
Overall, 100% satisfied. Will put it to the test over the next two weeks. If it holds up I’m going to get one more in a different color for myself as well as several for gifts for brothers and brothers in law.
UPDATE: I am a size 42. I ordered a large and the fit is near perfect.
UPDATE #2: I’ve worn this vest for a great variety of activities including fishing and working around the yard and shed. I’m happy to say it’s held up to all the use I’ve put it through and get this, I found hidden pockets. My original ten pocket count was inaccurate. There are a few more than ten. Fifteen maybe. Anyway, love this vest and will be ordering one for every guy in my family. Christmas shopping…DONE!

Just received mine in army green, it has 14 pockets of which 4 internal with 2 chest pockets, it does not have pockets in the back or 16 as stated, the back one is on the mesh vest. I like it, size medium because I gained some weight with my regular being 150lbs. I am 5’3” female and it fits fine with the armhole a little big but I plan on using it over a sweatshirt. I bought this for traveling since airlines are too cheap with carryon weight of only 15 lbs, these pockets will be stuffed! It’s cotton poly blend so it should last. I do recommend it if traveling.

ONLY NEGATIVE IS THAT THE MAIN FRONT ZIPPER IS ON THE LEFT !!! In the past six months I have purchased at least six of these vests from two different marketers on Amazon. I am amazed at the great value, so I have purchased ones in different colors and slightly different materials. The vest is very lightweight so it is comfortable even in warm and humid conditions. I really like pockets and I am amazed at how many zippered or velcro’d pockets are both outside and inside this vest, but the pockets don’t stick out but lie very flat. The vest is the best one I have ever encountered in my life and with all my looking I am amazed at the low price. The one difficulty/inconvenience that I find is that the primary front zipper is opposite what you would find on a US men’s vest. The moveable part of the zipper is on the left side. My wife does a lot of sewing, so she said that if I cannot adjust to it that she will get some US zippers and replace them for me. I would be happier if I could order the vests with a left sided zipper and knowing how great these vests have turned out to be I would happily pay another $20 for an option for left sided zippers! I have no doubt that I am going to buy more of these in additional colors, or as back-ups. As my friends and family see these I expect that they will order them too. I haven’t had any of them long enough to see how the different fabrics stand up to washing/cleaning but at this price I can’t lose.

I don’t write many reviews and when I do it’s for a great product. What I love about this vest is it’s pocket lay out and the mix of zippers and Velcro. I’m not a fan of Velcro and prefer zippers for security sake. The blend of both is just right and nice sizes for me since I have various sized items in it. I use it as my diagnostics vest, I’m an Arborist. Here is the real kicker, the price! I don’t know it’s so inexpensive. The quality is well done, not top of the line but good and for the price it’s amazing! I’ll probably order another for camping. The length is nice, not as long as some others and not too short. Any shorter and it would be too short. I’m 5’7” and athletic build, not thin and not heavy. It would fit someone slightly heavier than me, 165 pounds, but not much more. I have a vest I paid over $100.00 for and was waiting for this one to come in to decide which to keep, maybe keep both. As I was loading the vest up I knew the other vest was going back. It’s really great and the price is perfect, you really can’t go wrong. I feel like 4 stars may be most accurate but because of the price I might give it 5. I think it may be the best vest for the money out there hands down. And I don’t know what vest is better at any price unless it’s a dedicated fishing or hunting vest, which I don’t want that look walking around town or meeting clients. I will with this one, but again, I’m an Arborist and I can get away with that just fine, I’m pretty lucky there. Otherwise I’d keep the expensive travel vest I have. It’s over priced and not as practical, imagine that. There is a trade off for function vs style. This vest here is pure function at an amazing price, I’d say it’s one to seriously consider.

I am a courier for a medical center and drive to 40-50 medical sited per day, picking up medical specimens from various locations and transporting them to different hospital labs. I carry many different implements with me, from pens and markers, schedules, keys, PDA, etc… I needed something light and comfortable, with plenty of pockets for storage of the many implements. This vest fit the bill perfectly. The sizing and overall fit really surprised me. I’m 6’2″ and 230 pounds and normally wear a 2XLT. I figured I would give a 2XL a try, hoping I wouldn’t need a larger size. The fit is fantastic! It is long enough that I don’t look like I’m wearing my little brother’s clothes. That was one of my biggest concerns. The length actually comes down to cover my belt. It looks like it was made for me.
Why only 4 stars then? A few reasons. Firstly, the front zipper functions backwards, meaning the zipper pull is located on the left side as I wear it and not on the right side as typical. I’m slowly getting used to that. Secondly, The many pocket corners should have been reinforced better. Some of them have started to come loose. Not a large deal breaker. I can hand stitch a few tacking points on the corners of the pockets. Thirdly, the D-rings near the top pockets would function so much better, had they also been located near the bottom pockets. With those 3 things in mind, I honestly cannot give it a 5-star rating. I would, however, give it a 4-1/2 star rating if I could as 4 stars is deceivably too low. It’s actually a very good item of clothing. Might I also add that the material is a perfect weight for summer use.
