These braces/suspenders are very high quality and unlike other suspenders they are two inches wide and look the real ones used in the 1920’s, 30’s, 40’s. The cost is very reasonable for the quality. I am costuming a show and only wish I discovered these before I bought other sets for the actors as they are much better and comparable in price – even if you buy a decent bow tie as well. Believe me I have tried 5 brands and these are the best!

The first pair of suspenders that were delivered had the grips put on backwards on one end. They were returned and the new ones that were immediatelysent were perfect! Thank you!

Excellent quality. Great price. My first try for suspenders since I got old and my pants don’t stay up. These are nice and wide and the clips haven’t slipped yet. I started with these lower price ones on Amazon and they are pretty good!
Ordering 2 more. One in a darker color for me and one for a neighbor who has the same age related problem. Now I’ll have 2 pants lined up ready to jump into like a fireman. Only “issue” is shirts have to be tucked inside pants, but outerware is unaffected. And NO belt threading involved. I like this look. I like being mistaken for a farmer!

Pay close attention to the description of “Heavy Duty”. These are just that and the clasps to attach them to the trousers is not only heavy duty but the teeth of them are very sharp. I have been scratched more than once. The positive part of that is that they stay attached to the trousers and don’t spring loose when you least expect it. Other suspenders tried did keep coming loose.

These are nice, wide, solid suspenders in a useful color that goes with everything, work-style or more dressy. I will wear them regularly. The clips are big and strong — so strong that they might perforate more delicate fabrics. If I had to make one criticism, it would be that, when the clips are open, the teeth separately only slightly, so that it’s easier to attach the suspenders front and back while sitting down, or before putting on the pants, than it is to attach them the way I normally do — standing up, back clips first, then front ones. That can get pretty laborious. But they’re a great buy at the price, and I think they are going to prove very durable.

I’ve only had them about a week, so cannot attest to long-term quality, but these so far are exactly what I was looking for. I’ve never worn suspenders before, but wanted something to keep my jeans up when doing yardwork–a belt has never really been up to the job of preventing my jeans from sliding down every time I bend or crouch. These are nice and heavy duty, with plenty of adjustment room so they hold with whatever amount of tension you prefer. I’m about 5’10” and given the range of available adjustment, I think these could easily accommodate someone 8 inches shorter OR 8 inches taller with no problem. The wide straps seem very comfortable, and the clasps grip very strongly. They didn’t slip at all when doing several hours of heavy yardwork, and I didn’t have to pull up my pants even once. While that’s exactly what I was looking for, I think it’s pretty likely that the clasps would rip any fabric more delicate than heavy jeans. They’re not kidding about the “heavy duty” part of the description!
Two things I would note (I wouldn’t count these as negatives, merely something to be aware of before purchasing):
1. The X part of the suspenders actually sits fairly low. You can see in the pic that the back clasps are only about 6 inches away from the cross/X point when not under tension. On me they sit right above the small of my back. It’s not a bad thing, but for some reason I was expecting the X to be up high, around my shoulder blades, so just be aware of that if you’re looking for a specific style/look.
2. As some other reviews have mentioned, the clasps don’t open very far. Fully open, the space between the teeth is not even 1/4 of an inch. I don’t think I’d say it’s a problem, but I did definitely have to attach the back clips to my pants before putting them on–too frustrating to try and figure out blind and behind my back.
Overall, would feel comfortable recommending these if you’re looking for heavy duty or extra strength suspenders.

I lost a bunch of weight and God didn’t give me any butt so I have a major problem holding my britches up. These suspenders are great to solve my problem. I like the clips, they hold good and are easy to put on and take off. I love the nice wide straps, they don’t cut into my shoulders. They are nice and long to hold but again not dig into my shoulders. I got just what I was looking for and at a fair price.

They seem heavy duty enough and sufficient for any need I might come up with. always very happy with Amazon and their service and may do more business with you in the future. I used these for a Santa workshop look and they were awesome! I love that they are thick strong elastic and the clamps really hold. I had to reinforce ghe pants so the teeth didn’t rip through them but never had to worry about them slipping. These are classy enogh for pictures and strong enough for a day of hard work!
