Very nice stretch. Do order down a size. The Jean material is exactly the color shown. Its thick jean material with lots of stretch. While putting them on and pulling to my waist i thought they were going to be to tight and nope zipped them up and perfect. No muffin top at the waist. These will last for years. I’m 70 and the ripped jeans aren’t my style. They are a little pricey, but the quality is there. Oh, one more thing, they are long and you’ll need to hem unless you wear high heal. The measurement guide is right on.

True to size. Durable.

I have worn these same jeans for years. Love the fit and fabric. I still have my size 12’s but can now fit into a size 10. They do fit large so order one size down from regular jeans.

I have been wearing NYDJ for years. They are the best. This color is a lovely soft brown.

Wow. I just looked and the price went up to $129. I paid $78 and I thought that was high. But just keep an eye on them, the price fluctuates a lot.
I really want to help people decide whether to get these jeans or not. I pore over the reviews first, and at this price, as much info as possible helps. 🙂
Here goes… I’m 5’7″ about 135 lbs. with a long torso and a thick waist. I literally have no bum, thanks to a recent surgery, so I pretty much live in leggings with long shirts. I used to live in jeans (Calvin Klein-always fit perfect) and now the material just hangs there. Bummer! Anyway, a friend told me to try NYDJ as everyone she knows loves them. I decided on the Marilyn, because I like a straight leg. I chose the Lombard shade, because I like a medium shade of blue that has a grayish, acid-washed tint. This shade also has whiskering. I have to say, I LOVE this shade! I ordered a size 8 after reading the company’s advice and most of the reviews. They are right. DEFINITELY go down a size from your normal one. I usually wear an 8 or 10. I thought about going down to a 6, and if I wanted them tight and form-fitting, I probably could have, but I like my clothes loose-fitting. That being said, the 8 was a little more loose than I like. I almost needed a belt, which with my thick waist, I almost never do. The fabric is a thicker, heavier jean material than I like. They also are kind of stiff. They probably would get softer with washing and wear. I don’t think they would shrink, even putting them in the dryer, due to the stretch of the material. The length was just a tad long, probably a 32″, but I was barefoot. They probably would be fine with a small heel. I have to admit I really liked them. They checked off all the boxes.
EXCEPT… remember my lack of bum to fill it out. I SO wanted them to work. But realistically, at that price, I just couldn’t keep them. I’m probably stuck with leggings and long shirts for the rest of my life.
SO… if you can get past the price, I think most women would love these. The fit is flattering to most figures. They’re casual, yet you could easily add a nice blouse and heels or boots, to dress them up. Don’t forget these are straight-leg, not skinny or bootcut. There are a lot of shades/washes to choose from. AND DEFINITELY SIZE DOWN!
I hope this review can help you make up your mind. Cheers!

I bought the NYDJ Marilyn jeans in Biscayne. I absolutely love them! I’m 5′ 6″, 140 lbs, and in most clothing brands I wear a size 10, but I sized down to a 8. I also tend to be short torsoed and long legged, and the length is perfect. They fit great, a bit of stretch and slouch, and the look is very slimming. It gives my legs an elongated look, and the waist is very comfortable. The material is the perfect weight for spring, fall and winter.

I live bud means. I’m a 67 year old woman and not trying to be a teenager these are the best fitting and king wearing jeans, ever! I highly recommend all NYDJ for everyday and even dressing them up.
I always buy them on sale!!! These jeans are well made no problems with the zipper or stitching.

To be honest, I returned as I already have similar style. I have the shape of a typical 65 year old, thick through the mid section. Nice fit, comfortable with enough stretch in much needed places. Would have kept if I didn’t already have similar style.

I love NYDJ jeans and have worn them for years. They’re super comfortable, shape flattering, and hold up very well. I was ready for a new pair and ordered these without a second thought. When they arrived I tried them on right away, they fit perfectly and I put them away. I finally decided to wear them yesterday and when I put them on, once again I was very pleased with the fit. However, for the first time I put my hands in my front pockets. Or, at least I tried to put my hands in my front pockets. They are so tiny that a tube of lipstick would not fit in there. What the heck were they thinking when they designed this particular style? I should add these are regular full length jeans, nothing fancy, not capris or leggings, etc. Unfortunately for me, I was so used to getting these jeans and loving them I never thought to try the pockets. By the time I decided to actually wear them I missed my return window by about two weeks (my last day to return them was March 14). So now I am stuck with jeans that I can’t even stuff a tissue into the front pocket. I’m sure I’ll persevere and there are certainly worse things that could happen to a person, but it’s just another annoyance to put up with when you expect better.

This is not a NYDJ product and is a scam. I have bought at least 20 pairs of NYDJ jeans over the past 10 years, most in the Marilyn Straight cut jean style (size 8 in this style is a perfect fit for me), all are great quality, and all have between 2-4 labels/tags sewn into them. Normally, I buy them direct from the NYDJ website or department/clothing stores. I wanted to get a new pair for an upcoming trip and since Prime shipping would get to me quickly – and they were a good deal (probably should have been a clue), I decided to order these. It was a mistake. The jeans I received have none of the NYDJ labels/tags, are extremely poor-quality, and are very short/poor fitting — having a lot of experience with this brand and style, what I received is absolutely not a pair of NYDJ jeans.

Nice quality materials and stitching, true to size (ordered a Medium…I’m a traditional size 8, (35-36 chest, 28-30 waist, 38 hips, 130 pounds). The cordovan color is beautiful, rich, and very much like the traditional “bull’s blood” (brown/red/black) hue. Slimming through the waist, lower groin, and hips, slightly roomier through the knee down in straight leg form. Length is below my ankle bone but above the top of my foot… I’m 5’8 1/2″ and I’ll have to be “cute” about footwear to accommodate the slight bare skin. But all in all, great fit! I’ll wear these pants for dress-down or dress-up on many occasions. Happy!

These jeans are very comfortable and the fit is awesome! I bought the size I normally wear and no complaints.

Fits true to size. Comfortable I’m short so have to wear a little heels

Love these jeans. I can trust them to be the quality and fit they were the last time I bought them. Maybe it’s just a thing with women’s clothing because my husband can’t understand why I claim two identical articles of clothing from the same company can fit differently. But they sure can! That’s why I appreciate the consistency in NYDJ. And thanks to the Amazon website, I can easily FIND the product I last bought and just click to buy it again.

Great fitting jeans. I have purchased in several colors because it’s just a classic good fitting and comfortable pair of pants.
cuteGSP –
These pants look great and fit nice, however the pair they sent me is about three inches too long. There is no choice for inseam this isn’t a normal issue I have buying pants I’m assuming they sent me a tall Pretty disappointed returning.

EXCELLENT PRICING! I usually pay twice the price in the store for these same pants. LOVE LOVE them. These are the only brand I wear.

I like this style of NYDJ jean, but the sizing is inconsistent between colors. The Marcel color fits fine, as expected,
but the Cooper is smaller in the waist and the length is just slightly longer than the Marcel. Not sure is I will keep the Cooper color. It’s too bad that the sizing is so different. Makes it difficult to order correctly. That’s why I gave it only 4 stars. I like the colors of both, and yes they do run a bit long. I’m about 5’4″ and about 155 lbs. I do have a bit of a “Mom” stomach for reference. I don’t find the size 10 fits too tight in the seat or thighs. The waist on the Cooper is tight. They are both a bit long on me, but I will either wear heels with them or have one of them hemmed if I decide to keep the Cooper color.

I’m a high rise convert, these are perfection! I’m small but have the muscle tone of Wonder bread plus I’m a 62 Y O grandmother. But in these jeans? I don’t look it. I’m 5 7 @ 127 lbs – 29″ waist and 39″ hips and I bought the size 4 with 32″ inseam which is More than long enough. I sew so non issue. My problem area is heinous muffin top if jeans not “just right” and many times I wear a Spanx cami to compensate for this. Not comfy in the south east summers lol. No Spanx needed with these. I’d always thought if I avoid my waist all together I’d avoid muffin top hence low waist line pants, I was wrong! These fit excellent in crotch which can also be another issue with me. The dreaded CT lol.
heavy enough fabric that these are not see through, wearing black under things in this picture. Not blessed in the back of the house and these make the most of what I’ve got by being nice and snug without flattening what I have, great back pocket placement. Nice and higher but not too high up. I’d just tried on $200 white jeans yesterday at the mall but they were too sheer not to mention too expensive for what they were offering me. I’d pay if I had to but…
Came home and went on Amazon, ordered Joe jeans at big $ and ordered low at this price. Ecstatic to Find these on my door step this morning and put them on to find my happy place in my fitting world. I can’t believe the price of these and am ordering another because coffee guzzling me and white anything means I always order two if I love it lol.

I love the fit but they will need to be hemmed. I’m 5’4” and I will need to hem them over an inch. But it will be worth it for the comfort!

I bought two pairs on deep Black Friday sale, which made them about the same price I would pay locally for jeans. I love them! They’ve supplanted my GV Amanda jeans as my new favorites. Like the Amanda I take these in a 12 rather than my usual 14, and they’re more comfortable at that size than the Amandas. The fabric is stretchy and smooth (but thicker than jeggings) and the waist doesnt cut at all. Amandas are a slightly firmer weave fabric with a little less stretch and can cut a little at the waist while sitting, as jeans normally can. These are a little bit long for me (but they’ll hem easily) while the Amandas are the perfect length. Both brands have a supporting second layer below the waist that doesn’t actually hold anything in but keeps the fabric there from stretching too much over any bulges. What I appreciate most about these is how sleek they look and how comfortable they are to wear. New favorites that I’ll probably end up buying in every color as they go on sale, but definitely worth the price.

A pricy option, but a great fit for me and long lasting.

I was very excited to try NYDJ jeans, and I am so disappointed! They are advertised as having a 9.75″ rise. It is actually just under 9″. The fabric is stiff and the fit is tight and uncomfortable, even though they are the same size as jeans I comfortably wear every day. So disappointed!!!
D. MORRIS –
No problem with the quality, but although these are described as “straight”, they are really skinny – not what I wanted at all. I don’t understand why, as I have the same style and size in dark blue, and they are fine. Sadly, I had to return them.

I took one star away for color. The pair I received are so dark that they are easily mistaken for black. The fit and the purchase price was good so I’m keeping them but I won’t be ordering a second pair.

I sent the size recommended back and sized down one. Perfect fit. Normally I’m a 10 but the 8 fit perfectly.

Hermit! –
Glorified and expensive leggings is all these are. I kept them but I’m regretting that I did. 1 – the waist is 4 inches too big and had to take it in.
2 – the waistband is really stretchy so it doesn’t hold the pants up at my waist even after taking them in.
3 – the legs are really tight especially around the area just above the knees.
4 – they’re supposed to be straight leg but they’re slim through the legs like leggings but from the bottom of the knee down, they seem to bell out but only just barely. When I lay them on the bed and smooth them out they do taper in toward the ankle so I guess the bell is an illusion. Either way they’re not straight leg jeans.
5 – because they’re tight in the legs and have a big stretchy waist, when I walk, every step brings them down. If I hadn’t taken them in at the waist, they’d fall off my fanny and end up around my knees. If having taken the waist in, I still have to hitch them up every few steps.
I have 3 pair of these jeans. The first pair are just as they should be and fit nicely. The second pair is a bit tight around the knees and only 3” too big in the waist. This last pair convinced me that NYDJ’s has poor, inconsistent quality control.
I won’t be spending my money on another pair.

You don’t really need to write a review on not my daughter’s jeans. They are the best fitting and most comfortable Levi’s you can wear for a woman.

Great quality and very flattering jeans. I’m 5’6″ and the length is great for heels.

I purchased the Heyburn wash. The inseam is a 32” and the description says 33”. Either way too long for me.
Love the fit and color but too expensive to have hemmed and my own attempts in the past don’t look professional. I will be returning.
