  1. Ashton Marie

I have mixed feelings about this skirt. I want to really love it, but it’s extremely expensive for a jean skirt that doesn’t have a finished hem and isn’t that high of quality. The sizing runs big, I ordered a size 2 (normally I’m a 4) and it’s still loose. I have a small waist and curvy hips so the skirt wiggles up when I move. I washed it to see if I could shrink it down a bit and the hem rolled and frayed. It looks horrible. I don’t want to iron a jean skirt every time I wear it.

This is a very nicely made skirt. Regretfully, I had to return due to some weight loss that made the skirt a little roomy. Otherwise, runs true to size.

This skirt is everything I hoped it would be! I basically wear nothing but jeans most of the time, so I have been looking for a denim skirt like this to switch things up a bit. This skirt still has that casual jeans look that I like, but a bit elevated. And it’s SO comfortable! Even more comfortable than jeans. The fabric is super stretchy, which makes it feel great on and also flatters my curves.

I normally wear an 8/10 in jeans, and the 10/30 fits me perfectly. I am 5’4″ and it comes down to mid-calf on me. I love the high waist, which provides a little bit of fluff compression without being uncomfortable around the middle. It is the most flattering denim maxi skirt I’ve tried – some are just so roomy in the legs that they make me look wider and shorter than I am! This one has a nice shape to it. It does have belt loops, so I can belt it if I lose weight, but right now it fits just perfectly. The pockets are functional, too, like jeans pockets.

The Bondi color is a nice lighter wash with fading that doesn’t look too “fake,” and there’s no hem on the bottom, so it’s got a cute cut-off look to it. It’s so cute with sneakers, sandals or ankle boots. Looks great with all kinds of tops and sweaters, tucked in or out. This is absolutely my new go-to wardrobe staple. I love it!

I’m honestly shocked by how much I love this skirt. As a petite gal, I usually steer clear of long skirts, but I’m so glad I took a chance on this one. I was a bit hesitant at the price point, but it’s absolutely worth every penny. While many reviews mention it’s true to size, I personally could’ve sized down—though that likely comes down to body shape. That said, it looks amazing with a belt, so the slightly loose waist isn’t a dealbreaker. The wash is gorgeous, the quality is solid, and the overall design is super flattering. It’s the kind of piece that works across seasons—I’ll be styling it through spring, summer, and even into fall. A timeless staple I know I’ll wear again and again.

I typically wear a small or size 4 in pants/skirts. So that’s what I ordered and the waist is at least 2 sizes too big. And it’s also wider all the way to the bottom of the skirt. So definitely order smaller than your size!

With that said, the jean material is high quality. I really like the cut in the front so if I’m wearing my cowboy boots you can really see them. The skirt length is also great for wearing boots or other types of shoes. The skirt has pockets in the front and the back.

  6. ZLala

This is a very well made skirt. Such nice quality and not cheaply made by any means. I love the length and the overall fit, it does fit true to size. It has some spandex which allows it to be comfortable and provide some give. The color is exactly as pictured. I would highly recommend this skirt. It’s a great wardrobe choice for the price.

  7. ZLala

I like almost everything about this skirt. It’s well made. It’s soft. It looks nice on. It’s very easy to wear. I can wear denim to my office so this will be an easy skirt to wear with a blouse and a sweater all your long. I think it’s a great layering piece. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because the tummy panel is stretchy and I think it could be a little firmer in the fabric there to smooth the mom tummy. There are other brands in a similar price point that do a much better tummy area, and if that was present in the skirt, it would be five stars. It’s not the worst in this area, but far from the best the rest of the skirt is ideal. I am a size 8 curvy, 10, or 12 if they run small and the 10 fits perfectly.

  8. Laura A bradley

This is the classic, long jean skirt just like we used to wear in the 70’s and 80’s! It is sturdy and well made of a cotton-polyester blend, jean-weight denim so it shouldn’t shrink much if at all when washed.

The hem along the bottom is unfinished so you can leave it raw for a trendy look, or hem it to your preferred length. As is, it comes to about an inch above my ankle. It has a slit in the middle of the front to make it easy to walk in. It sits right at the waist and is not too tight so I would say it is true to size.

It is very easy to launder: just turn inside out and machine wash cold, then tumble dry.

I surprised myself by absolutely loving this kensie High Rise Classic Jean Skirt! It’s not a style I’d normally go for, but I’m trying to step out of my comfort zone and it paid off—this skirt is so comfortable and weirdly flattering. The high-rise fit sits just right, and the calf length gives it a cool retro vibe (total 80s/90s teacher nostalgia—in the best way!).

A heads-up: It runs a little big, so if you’re between sizes, consider sizing down. The denim has just the right amount of stretch, making it easy to move in while keeping its shape. You can wear it with boots, cute little Keds, sandals, whatever you want, really. It’s become a fun, versatile piece in my wardrobe and I get a lot of comments on it. So glad I took the chance!

  10. UnderdogMom

This skirt is amazing. Comfort meets cute meets 90’s Mom meets Gen Z. So basically, the perfect middle ground for a Millenial Mom like me.

The high rise is very flattering, but thanks to the stretchy, washed fabric, it is extremely comfortable and flexible. The length is a little different…kind of hits mid-calf on me (33″ inseam) but the slit makes it still look fresh and not frumpy.

The material stretches and moves with you without bagging out or growing bigger during the day. I do find the sizing on the Kenzie brand to run a little large in general though.

If you are between sizes or prefer a tighter fit, I recommend sizing down.

The Kensie Denim Skirt is a true classic that embodies both style and functionality. With its calf-length cutoff and high-rise waist, this skirt is versatile and trendy, making it an excellent addition to any wardrobe. The stone-washed denim adds to its charm, giving it a timeless aesthetic that pairs effortlessly with nearly any top or footwear.

One of the standout features of this skirt is its comfort. According to my wife, it is incredibly comfortable to wear, thanks to its soft and stretchy fabric. The roominess in the legs enhances mobility and ease, making it ideal for all-day wear. Additionally, the inclusion of belt loops and pockets adds to its practicality without compromising the overall look.
Sizing is accurate, as my wife ordered a size 8 in the “Pippa” color, which fits her perfectly at 5’4″ and 118 lbs. The skirt not only fits well but also accentuates the body beautifully, further elevating its appeal.

This denim skirt is something my wife has always wanted, and now that it’s part of her wardrobe, she is truly pleased. Based on its comfort, style, and functionality, we both agree that the Kensie Denim Skirt deserves a full five stars.

I got my regular size (Large) and I wish I would have sized down because I know it would have snatched me up better.
    For size reference I am 185lbs 5’4
The denim if soft and flexible but strong enough to hold it together if you know what I mean.
The button and zippers work great.
LOVE the slit gives it an extra pop of style.
    Denim is true to color.
A bit expensive but worth it.
