I use this backpack for literally everything. Festivals, hikes, etc. you name it. I’ve stuffed it full, it’s been washed more than 5 times. It may have faded a bit but the color is still very strong. It works great. Just not very structured if that’s what you want, it’s more of a floppy backpack.

Just what I was looking for!
I work in a restaurant, have 2 dogs and frequent the dog park often, surf, and go on tons of day/exploring trips so that I don’t lose my mind. I’m also a purse-aholic. I wanted something medium sized and super basic that was practical for ALL of the above activities, but didn’t want to spend the astronomical amount of money on one of those overly trendy Fjallraven packs. So, I picked this guy! The red color is awesome, it’s super soft, perfect everyday size, and holds all my junk.
Is it super well made? No, of course not! But will it last awhile if I put in a little sewing effort from time to time? Absolutely!
Other reviews say the straps aren’t adjustable, and they definitely ARE. The process is just slightly more basic and primitive than what most people are used to. You just un-snap the strap, pull to where you want, and then I tie a knot with the excess hanging down for security. Bam. Done.
NO this should not be used as a school pack for several heavy books, and you shouldn’t carry around your bricks in it (duh).
Also, for size reference they obviously used very small people as the models…so…ya know. Go off of that. Works for me! Heh.

This bag is exactly what I expected it to be. I was looking for something to use as a purse instead of carrying a bag on my shoulder. This was perfect. It’s roomy and super cute. I recently even took it on a quick trip to Chicago as my personal item on the the plan. Some reviews said that the bag couldn’t hold any amount of weight, well I’m here to tell you that it can. I carried an extra set of clothes, a MacBook Pro, a full size iPad, a dslr camera, go pro, wallet, passports, and even added a few toys later that my kids bought. Boy was it heavy, but the straps held up. If I had to come up with one complaint, it’s that when you put a lot of weight in it, the straps become uncomfortable when carrying around all day. But like I said, I really tested it to it’s limits and it held up just fine. It’s perfect for carrying on every day items and can even handle a few extras and still be comfortable. The color was exactly as pictured and it was super cute. Check out my latest video of our trip to Chicago on our YouTube channel (The Full Life Family) to see this awesome bag in action. I would definitely purchase again!!

Love it! Perfect size and perfect for “personal item” for travel, which I needed. Really cute bag. I recommend it!

  5. Maggie Gorman

Love this! It perfectly matched the photos and it is well-made. There’s plenty of room for everything except my laptop, which is big. I love the look of it, especially how it can look small or filled-out depending on how much you put in it. It can take on a more structured/square look, or it can look more slouchy/casual. Love all the pockets.

Loving this backpack. A beautiful color- a deep crimson red. It’s not too small or too big. Very soft fabric. Lightweight. Washable. There’s a divider inside, a roomy zipped pocket on outside, top handles and compartments on each side. I’m using it as an everyday bag and I think it will be perfect for an upcoming road trip for all of the extra things that I need easy access to like my everyday meds and such. I have my wallet, diabetes supplies, snacks, reading glasses, sunglasses, a cosmetic bag, notebook, phone, odds and ends and there is plenty of room to spare. My 10 inch tablet will easily fit in it. Overall, it’s a 10 out of 10 and I highly recommend.

I really wanted the Kanken bag but budget constraints had me purchase this one as a daily carry backpack for my daughter. It’s withstood the test of time as it has been almost four years and it has been halfway around the world and to every school she’s attended. We’ve used it for vacations and everytime we take a short trip to fill with workbooks, art supplies and games for her to keep busy.

It has not torn, frayed or become any less functional. If you’re looking for a bag that will stand up on it’s own firmly and not require support, this is not for you. It’s deceptively roomy but it is more like a soft cloth bag that is shaped like a backpack than it is a structured bag like Kanken, Jansport, or LLBean.

On the plus side, those structured bags have wax or some harder materials that tend to flake and become softer and break down over time, but this has no foam or cardboard inserts to deteriorate so I anticipate many more years of use out of this bag.

I really liked this bag and used it often as my mom bag when I went on hikes, on Girl Scout outings, on family trips, anywhere when I needed to carry more than would fit in a small purse but didn’t want a huge tote. The straps were adjustable and comfortable. I kept them long and let the bag hang low so I could easily reach back for things. I liked the side pockets for water little and hand sanitizer. I appreciated the one big open area inside instead of lots of small sections so I could put books, clothes, or anything I wanted in the bag. But, the bag didn’t last because the zipper died after less than a year’s occasional use. I ended up throwing it out when on a trip to Disney because it wasn’t worth bringing it home. I’m really tempted to get another because the bag was so useful but it will really annoy me if I do and I get another bad zipper.

Color will begin to fade after a couple of washes. Fabric also began to break on me after a few washes. Storage capacity is great. Does hold a lot. Not many pocket options for smaller items inside bag itself. Not waterproof so it will absorb water. Convenient, cute and comfortable. Bought both red and green and used it daily for travels.

10\10 bag feels and looks quality! A great Fjallraven dupe! Hold lots of stuff. Iv had this bag for years and used it many times. Still holding up and looking great!

This lightweight cloth canvas backpack checks all the boxes for style and practicality. I absolutely love the color—it’s vibrant yet versatile, making it easy to pair with any outfit. It’s light enough for all-day wear, whether I’m traveling, or just running errands. The medium size is perfect: roomy enough to fit the essentials without feeling bulky. A fantastic everyday bag that blends fashion with function beautifully!

Updating my review after owning this for about 1.5 years with casual use every other weekend — both main pocket zippers fell off now rendering my otherwise perfect bag useless. I would have expected this to last at least a few more year at the price point and infrequent use I make of the bag.

This bag was exactly what I imagined based on the photos and other reviews – a simple, slouchy bag with plenty of room in the main pouch for a couple water bottles, sunscreen, a small rain jacket, wallet, and a few other small items. I’d pay the Amazon price if I were picking this out at Target – fine quality for what it is! Needed something comfy and stylish for a Disney day and other random occasions to tote a few things along. Side pockets are virtually useless due to the size. Zippers all worked fine. Straps are comfortable and button to keep the two top handles is easy to snap/unsnap. Has held up fine over several uses so far.

This was a perfect sized backpack for walks to local grocery stores to pick up a few items or pickup some takeout (quite roomy); however, after 5 years of regular use, the metal buttons to secure straps started to fail, which unfortunately rendered the bag un-useable. The color started to fade unevenly too, but it would’ve been OK if the strap didn’t fall off due to the unfastened buttons. Give it a 3 star due to the buttons; if one doesn’t carry heavier stuff, it could be a 4-5 star bag.

I was looking for a backpack to replace my Fjällräven Kånken backpack, and this one struck my eye. I like that it is big enough to pack a sweater away or put a computer in it, but can be a great supplement for a purse, as it is not too big to hurt your shoulders or be awkwardly large for everyday use.

When it arrived it already had that broken-in cotton shirt feel, which I like, but be warned to those looking for something tough, this is not very sturdy! It is almost a thick cotton-like material, a shirt or pants could be made out of this.

Side pockets may hold a small water bottle, but more likely are mainly big enough for small items like chapstick or a phone.

Lastly, the literal only complaint that I have is that the ties on the zippers are just knotted on, so they have fallen off, and I have had to tie them back on myself. Super cute without them though anyways!

I waited a few weeks to post a review so I could see how this bag performed for daily use and it’s great! Perfect smallish size that I was looking for but still holds a surprising amount of stuff. I usually carry my standard size iPad in its case, a couple of books/notebooks, pencil case, lunch, daily toiletries, sometimes headphones, sometimes a sweater. It works great! Please see my pictures of it on a day where it was pretty full (headphones and sweater), and pictures of everything inside with the sweater taken out so you can see. Handy outside pockets I usually use for my sunglasses etc, little loops I clip my keys onto. The front pocket perfectly fits my phone and some other small random things (cash, chapstick, whatever). I love this bag! Very soft material, very light, super cute. So far no complaints about the durability or quality and I definitely put it through its paces.

I truly love this backpack. I got one backpack in 2019. I’ll show you guys a comparison. I refused to throw it away cause I love it so much. But I spaced thay Amazon save all your order history. So I search it and order me a new one. I didnt realized how badly I needed another one. I hate purses. I dont like diaper bags. This is the perfect size for both my purse stuff and diaper stuff. I also don’t like flashy things.

Great value and good quality material. I’ve had this bag for 4 years and it’s been all over the world with me. It’s a nice medium size not too big and bulky yet large enough for tablet and books, change of clothes, extra shoes etc. the material is durable, and considering the mileage I’ve gotten out of it it’s nearly time for me to order a new one!

Good bag, it’s my work bag and I walk to work every day and I’ve loved it! Fits all my stuff without being bulky and has upheld greatly

This is a great little backpack for carrying things on outings, hikes, a day at the beach… things like that. It’s very lightweight and frees up the hands. There’s a few pockets but it’s also a very basic and simple design, very plain. The straps seemed a little odd at first– each strap has a rivet type of snap, but there is only one and the placement makes it so that to use that snap, the straps have to be ridiculously short, basically a stranglehold… so that’s weird but completely fixable if you just tie a simple knot at the desired length. Hard to describe, sort of, but it wasn’t off-putting for me. It’s a wonderful little pack and I’ve now ordered two because my toddler son loves it and wants his own for his daycare bag 🙂

It’s cute! Army green color, soft material, medium size. Probably not big enough overnight trips.

The backpack is quite “flimsy” as in it doesn’t have any hard backing to keep it looking a certain shape. It’s not a problem for me though but in case that’s something you’d like then try something else.

Adjustable straps and has a loop on each side to probably use as a crossbody? Not sure

UPDATE: first time using it and I’m shocked at the amount of space it has! I put 2 outfits and a bunch of toiletries and it doesn’t look super bulky ang still has some space left! Even put some sandals in there ! Also super soft material which I love

  23. Sonny-side-up

Very nice quality, design and looks just like on pictures. Very lightweight, which I looked for! Seems like great quality too, however I still intend to return this backpack so I cannot speak for durability and total quality. Why the return? For me it’s just too small size. It certainly would be great for teens, even kids in elementary school…maybe younger females.
