I cut a piece from the surface (not the inner core). Burned it on a lighter. It quickly lit up, and did not give a burnt smell for protein (leather is made up of protein, same as meat)

A versatile and excellent belt! It looks great and is simple to operate. Why this ratchet system wasn’t in use widespread decades ago, is a mystery. So simple to operate. I bought this as a dress belt but it can be casual or used as an excellent gun belt too.

It’s too early to tell about the durability and wear of the belt, but so far, I love the way it operates. I’ve only had it for a couple of days, but I love the look. I was also a little concerned that the buckle might be too dark but it’s just the way that the light was reflecting on the pattern in the picture. It’s basically the same color as the rest of the hardware (light gunmetal) with a mild graphic pattern.
The ratchet looks like it works as advertised to be released with a single hand and the adjustments are easy enough to fine tune.
As for the sizing, I’ve been buying 42″ belts. This one (36″ – 42″) is about 1/2″ longer than a couple of them and about an 1″ shorter than a couple of others (all of which are marked 42) — so I’d say you can buy with sizing confidence. On me it looks like a perfect fit and I appreciate the not quite infinite adjustments because of the ratchet mechanism. I didn’t have to cut mine down, but I would say for anyone smaller than the 42″ size you’d probably cut it down. The instructions look easy enough to do, but, again, I didn’t need to cut mine down.
I bought it in golf white because I’m replacing another white belt and 3 days in it still looks great. If it wears well, I will probably replace the rest of my belts (dress and casual) in time with this brand. I really am loving the look and the ratchet mechanism is cool, but not just a gimmick, it works practically. Price was a factor in my decision to try this out, and it didn’t hurt my feelings that it wasn’t very expensive, but having tried it, I would pay more (again, depending on how it wears).
If it wears out prematurely, I’ll update the review, but in the absence of that, I’d say give this a go.

Was a little skeptical at first about this product but jumped in a made the purchase and I can say I will never look back at another belt type again. This is fantastic in the quality of the build and so far the overall function of the belt clip. Took a hot second to get use to it but now that I am I find that it is super easy to use and provides the right fit from shorts to jeans as the seasons change. Also works well for on the job to relaxing around the house with the ability to loosen or tighten as you wish. High recommend if you are on the fence about this as I was.

The easiest trim-to-fit belt I’ve seen and the no-prong buckle is both convenient and easy to use one you get used to it. Looks good and good price too at least at my time of purchase. Several variations on what I think you’d call a “ratchet” buckle design that allows for the easiest, most comfortable tightening / adjustment I’ve experienced. Releasing the ratchet to loosen the belt took a little getting used to (no remember, no standard belt prongs), but is a breeze once you get used to pressing the release button on the bottom side of the buckle. Numerous combinations of belt leather and buckle styles available. Very satisfied with purchase.

Absolutely the best belt money can buy! I’m 70yrs old and had a hard time with traditional belts, holes not right. This belt let’s me adjust at will, a little tighter or looser. Took me a couple days to get used to the release mechanism, but after 70 yrs of the old style it’s to be expected. Great quality, double stitched and looks great. Very nice buckle, works well with everyday or dress ware. If you buy this belt you will not be disappointed. Absolutely love it!

Confusing at first on how to connect the buckle to the belt but once I figured it out it was super easy and it was on my pants in 10 seconds. The ratchet is very strong and I like the little release lever. The size was perfect for what I ordered. The full grain leather I got did not have a smell which was nice. The belt doesn’t stretch either which makes me feel confident in it. The color is great on the belt and buckle.

Overall I get too excited about things that just work and work well for what they’re intended for and this is one of those things. The last thing I just realized I like a whole back was when I looked at the back of the belt, on the leather is stamped on the different waist sizes, so when the belt is too long, you can unhook the buckle with it’s little teeth that bite into the leather to hold onto it with a little lever on the back side. Then you just cut the leather at whatever number pants size line you want your belt to be, slip the new cut end of the belt back into the beckle and latch the teeth and now your belt is whatever size you wanted it. Obviously you can’t make it bigger so I just ordered big but I didn’t expect it to be so easy to shorten either which was great. Overall I would buy another one if this one ever wore out or it’s so convenient yiu could just get your own new strip of leather and dye and stitch that however you see fit and hook it to the buckle and new belt. I may actually just made different color strips and styles just so I can move the buckle around to different leather. Or I may honestly just buy another color to have options with less work too.

The main thing, is my weight goes up & down a bit and it is hard to get a traditional belt “just right”, often either too loose or too tight. But with this belt, you can easily micro-adjust tightness/looseness up & down with ease, and once you set it where you want it, it is very secure and won’t slip loose from its position. I was very pleased.

For an affordable choice, this belt is a nice look and style, but it did take me 10 minutes to try and figure out how to affix the actual buckle with the included instructions. Since this belt has an adjustable bit of extra length, the backside clearly has measured marks indicating the length in inches, but the sharp teeth do offer a firm hold once a final length has been chosen.
The stitching is straight, the leather has no smell, and I like the Greek key border along the edges! It has a great degree of wearability, from dressy to formal occasions. I’m interested to see how this belt performs over time, and anxious to see how well the buckle holds up against potential scratches, but my overall first impression is a positive one!

Comfortable and adjustable belt that looks great. I wear mine nearly every day and have gotten one for another person too who also likes it.
The biggest gripe I have is the metal used for the buckle simply doesn’t work well under strain. I’ve had two buckles break now from the lever breaking, one buckle being mine and the other from one I gifted.
This’ll be the third pair I order for myself, but just know they last about a year or two before the latch breaks. In the attached pictures you can see the difference between a broken and normal latch.

My husband has been working out a lot and losing some weight so he needed a new belt and happened upon this men’s leather belt ratchet belt. He absolutely loves it because he can easily slide it to the size that he wants. It’s reversible there really is no smell the size it’s all. It’s very well made so the quantity is good. The fitness is perfect and the ability is excellent. It’s highly recommended if you need a new belt and one that’s easier than having to pull it out of its loop and adjust it and put it back into the loop. This one you just release and adjust it to size and snap it back and it’s done. Very highly recommended.

What can I say? Man I love this belt! It looks awesome and it fits perfectly! I love that you can adjust it as you loose (or gain 😬) weight. The colors are very nice and go well with any outfit. The price is great! And it’s easy to take the belt off (hint: the latch is on the bottom of the buckle and you simply pull it forward/outward to release the belt).
I very much recommend this belt! Buy more than one to go with different styles.

Made well, strong material, and looks nice. I actually bought two so far, used one for YEARS then lost a bunch of weight, bought a smaller one.

My son needed a new belt for drama so we thought we’d try this one. It is perfect! He’s got a little length left to grow and he doesn’t have to worry about the holes….there aren’t any! He loves how easy it is to adjust the tightness of it while he’s wearing it. No need to complete unbuckle to adjust. It looks great and he’s comfortable wearing it. I would buy again. I may even buy another for my husband.

Then you just cut the leather at whatever number pants size line you want your belt to be, slip the new cut end of the belt back into the beckle and latch the teeth and now your belt is whatever size you wanted it. Obviously you can’t make it bigger so I just ordered big but I didn’t expect it to be so easy to shorten either which was great. Overall I would buy another one if this one ever wore out or it’s so convenient yiu could just get your own new strip of leather and dye and stitch that however you see fit and hook it to the buckle and new belt. I may actually just made different color strips and styles just so I can move the buckle around to different leather. Or I may honestly just buy another color to have options with less work too.

He absolutely loves it because he can easily slide it to the size that he wants. It’s reversible there really is no smell the size it’s all. It’s very well made so the quantity is good. It’s highly recommended if you need a new belt and one that’s easier than having to pull it out of its loop and adjust it and put it back into the loop. This is such a high quality, well made belt for $20. It was a birthday gift for my husband and he swears it’s a high end belt and doesn’t believe me that it was only $20. I purchased 3 of these belts to replace two which had worn out. The main belt was fine, but the belt was worn where the buckle adjustment normally was. Additionally, I lost a little weight and was already using the smallest size.
This belt is adjustable for up to 6 inches or so, and no buckle holes. Just slide it to the desired position and it locks in place.

The notches are really close together compared to any ordinary beltholes on belts I could find in local stores. Perfect for my skinny waist, but probably more comfortable for anyone to get a more accurate belt. Easy to just hold the buckle and pull on the tongue to tighten it if it’s a little loose, discrete compared to undoing and redoing a normal belt. Overall much more convenient design. I’ve been wearing it for about a year now and it’s held up great, no visible wear or problems.
