I love this so much In navy that I just ordered another in black. I usually take an x-small when it’s offered, so I ordered it for this, and it’s a perfect fit. It is, indeed, an a-line cut, which looks sleek, and allows for more freedom of movement than a pencil-cut. Sometimes wider cuts look dowdy. I usually don’t like elastic waist bands because they puff out underneath, and look horrible with tucked in tops, yet bulk out under untucked tops. This one absolutely doesn’t bulk out at all.. The stretch band is set entirely in the back and doesn’t even look elastic. It looks like a regular band, but it has some give that avoids a too-tight fit, or a gap of excess material that puckers out in the back (happens in so many garments).. Although I usually don’t like navy blue in anything, I ordered it because it looks like a dark wash denim, which can be dressed up or down — very versatile. My only warning is the length. Mine is a little above the knee. When I sit in a chair, it just about covers my bottom, but I will know not to bend over in it, i.e., to stoop instead.

Just got my skirt, the wait was a couple weeks, but it came in right on time. The wait was well worth it! & The price at $40.99 can’t be beat. I’ve been looking for a skirt just like this one forever. I’m 5′ ft 110 lbs. I ordered a small & it’s a perfect fit. I’m in my late 50’s, this skirt fit right on my knee, perfect for an older gal, not a mini & not really a midi. I think appropriate for my age. The skirt has an elastic in the back only, for a little room if needed. No belt loops, the only thing I would have liked, still great. It’s real denim, no stretch, just the real material. Hope this helps, if this is what your looking for, you’re going to love this skirt. Cute for anything in any season, I will get a lot of use in this, for sure.

Nice length, good weight of denim and appears a straight waistband in the front. The back has an elastic waistband and fits well. Versatile in various weather cottons and pairs well with t-shirts and sweaters. I wear it often.

Update: I received the smaller size that I ordered and oddly the skirt looked much better – but still the same issues: waist too small, top button very difficult to unbutton/button and buttons did not lay flat down the garment. Also, I am being charged for shipping to send this back. I’m not happy about that. Former review: I ignored the reviews I read as they commented on the material being too stiff. I thought this would be ok and would soften with a few washes. That wasn’t the problem at all. The waste was way to small – had the hardest time unbuttoning the top button and of course re-buttoning it after I got it on. It has an elastic waste on the back and it didn’t come close to making the waste comfortable enough for me. I am neither large or small waisted. Once on, the buttons were not sewn in the proper place so the skirt did not lay flat and therefore was very unflattering. Also it had an A-line shape, which I generally love, but this was too A-line and the material was not soft enough flow in order to accommodate. I would not recommend this skirt – and I would definitely trust the reviews here, as I did not!

If you have a 28″ waist, a 34″ hip, and are 5.4′ tall – a size Small of this skirt may be a rather loose fit.
The just above the knee length also works well for older women (like me) when paired with sox and sneakers.

I ordered this in my regular size, but there was no give in the waistline so had to fake it by not using the top one, just folded it over then covered it with a blouse that fit over the top of skirt. Don’t tell anybody….. maybe I’ll lose a few pounds and it will button – lol. But, it was good denim, not thin, no holes – will be good for the colder weather.

This skirt hits just above the knee (I’m 5’3”).
It’s a great denim color. Buttons are perfectly placed. Great pockets. Nice that it has elastic at the back & a regular waist in front. I like clothing a little loose so I bought a large. (132 lbs), but I think a medium would have worked. It’s well made and I love it. Highly recommend.

Fits great at waist as it has the elastic back of waist. However, the hip area is too roomy for me. I have a small frame. Disappointed, it is a nice denim skirt.

Excellent! Great material, strong not stiff & soft enough. Sturdy buttons. Nicely A-lined shape which makes the waist look smaller. 5.2″ hits at just above knees or at knees depending on where you wear the waist. Looking forward to ordering more! Ordered XL. About 170 lbs. Fits perfectly. size.

Beautiful skirt; good quality, good workmanship, good lines, sturdy but nice looking. BUT pay close attention to the size chart and –put simply– size down.
The issue is that the size chart measurements are for the RELAXED measurements. Say you have a 30 inch waist. If the measurement is recorded with the back elastic RELAXED, you’d want a 28-inch waist so it would not constantly fall down.
That is fine, but MOST sizing on Amazon measures that “someone with a 30 inch waist will be comfy in this!”
I measured carefully but the skirt fell down on me even though the size charts matched my actual body measurements.
Buyer beward. You’ll probably like this skirt, but keep this in mind as you choose!

it is good denim quality but in the picture there is no back shot and it has a stretch band on the back and it is bulky. Had I known about the stretch band I would not have ordered it.
